I get so sick of people trying to pull Delta down. She's beautiful and extremely talented and I guess that is too much for people sometimes. I'd say to people who think that the life they lead is so perfect and without issue, maybe try opening your heart a little to those who have not been as fortunate and have likely faced unknown struggles out there - you'll be amazed at the personal growth you experience by showing some compassion. Nice review Nick.
@@ThePaintPartySociety I agree. Tall Poppy Syndrome is so prevalent and it makes me sick. Give every person their time in the sun. Let them shine as well. I also think, like you, that people are insanely jealous of her for various reasons.
Not only is Delta extremely talented and beautiful, she is also one of the kindest and most sincere people you will ever meet. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives her heart and soul to everything she does. Delta is one of the people I admire the most. She has taught me a lot through her music and her latest album with accompanying book put into words so much I have struggled to express. The story behind 'Kill them with Kindness' is inspiring. She says in her book that she was raised with the notion that you should rather stay quiet if you have nothing positive to say. She believes that if someone has nothing but hate to give, you should give them love; you should kill them with kindness. She lives by the notion of 'Love and Light' and for her it isn't just something she says, it is something she lives every day. She knows how lucky she is and she appreciates everything she has. She has given back since early in her career through the Delta Goodrem Trust Fund for blood cancers and Leukemia and over the years through other endeavours which has culminated in the Delta Goodrem Foundation.
Delta received (Member of the Order of Australia) AM on Australia Day. She performed at the Sydney Opera House with Jon Stevens, Casey Donovan, Isaiah Firebrace & many other great singers for a spectacular Australia Day concert. So proud of her as a person & all of her accomplishments ❤️
No just over came this, but she also had Hodgkin Lymphoma when she was 18! She’s an amazing artist, genuine and kind soul. I’ve loved her since her first single “Born to Try”!
I'm on a different continent but Delta has inspired me as well. As cliché as it is going to sound, it is the truth and I am not afraid to admit it. Her song 'Only Human' literally saved me when I was standing on the precipice of taking my own life. When she released this video, I learnt that there are others going through even worse things than a stupid divorce. Delta changed my life with her philosophy and I will never be able to express my gratitude for her, her pure soul and honesty.
What a gift Delta has been given. The trials and struggles she has gone thru and conquered adds a richness, colour and depth to her voice. Another incredible Australian talent you need to check out is Tommy Emanuele. One of the worlds recognized best guitarist who is self taught.
She is Australia’s angel. Delta is our icon. Have you heard of her before? She has so many songs through all her illnesses. She is a judge on the voice everyone want her as she has every Aussie support
Poor Delta has been through so much and always with grace. She’s a Cancer survivor from when she was a teenager and then she went through this recently. Love and Prayers to Delta
That is a truly inspirational story, I didn't know she went through all that. What a legend for coming out on top and getting back into her career and passion!
I’ve been off work since 2018 with back issues and random paralysis episodes in my legs. Watching this made me cry because I am still fighting to get back some form of normality in my life while coming to terms with now having a disability. Delta is just amazing, isn’t she?! I’m glad I found your channel and can watch your reactions in my downtime. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
I think when Delta said “it’s not going to be like it was before” I think she meant like the way she feels and what she has to do internally. I adore you and your channel! Your light shines so bright. You are so inspiring! ✨✌️♥️
Delta is one strong lady... she's been through so much and always managed to smile that beautiful smile...even when the outcome looked like it could have gone south..... We love her...she is an inspiration and a role model to all ages. She makes us all very very proud. Cheers Deltz...for just being your awesome self X
We never know what we can achieve until we test ourselves and Delta did just that and came through the other side!. I hope all her dreams come true she is a very hard worker, strong and resilient and a proud Australian. Go Delta! From one Strong Australian Women to another and far countries look what can be achieved!
That would absolutely scare the shit out of me. She went through a lot and I admire her for what she’s been able to overcome. Everybody must value their voice, whether they’re singers or not, and all parts of their bodies, because you never know there might be some reason you can’t predict why you may lose the use of it. So just appreciate everything God has gifted you.
Hey Nick, thanks for being so authentic in a medium that most people wouldn't even dream of showing their face. You have clearly won that battle but I acknowledge the huge effort it must take to keep it at bay considering what you do. I also requested this one on Paypal - so make sure you cross it off my list too that you've done it already. 😊❤️
I remember watching a very close friend hit rock bottom when he contracted Meningococcal in the Brain. It scrubbed him clean litterally and he had to relearn everything from how to go to the toilet, to eat, to speak, to remember who his family were. He was basically an infant in an adults body. Happy to say after 15 years he was pretty much back to his old self, albeit he WAS a different person. He was always caring and helping others, he continued to do that again in his second life as it were. I was overwhelmed that he still calls me brother (no relation) despite me not being there for him enough at the time due to distance. And when we still see each other from time to time, we always get along like a house on fire.
Seriously challenging thing to go through for a singer. Great resilience & absolutely the right attitude. You are right, there are powerful lessons here for all. Well done Delta.
Her Album Wings Of The Wild Album was the last album followed by her Tour back in 2016. That was she was referring to at the beginning of this video. I discovered Delta's "I Don't Care" Music Video back in 2003 at the age of 16 & I moved to Australia from 2004-2006. I got to meet Delta during her Bunkerdown Sessions on July 25th, 2020. I told her my story about discovering her. She thanked me for being on this journey with her. I've been a fan for 18 years now.
I love your empathy, man! As a singer, and seeing others suffer from something that will cease their ability to sing is something that I relate to as I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and if I attempt to sing, I get electric shocks to the face. I am so happy that she has been able to rehabilitate from this!
I still can't wait for your reactions to I can't break it to my heart and also Wish you were here. So awesome. Earlier hits Not me not I and Lost without you are also gems ❤️
Loved your reaction Nic. So many of us have had to overcome something. It really resonated what you said about suicide not being an option and then feeling stuck, that was me to trying to overcome crippling depression and CPTSD. It’s not easy being in that stuck position but it forces your mind to confront the issues that need addressing before you can turn your life around. I’m now a mental health nurse working at the local hospital, where I can use my experiences to let people know there is hope through the darkness. I’m also so proud of Delta, been a fan from her first album, watching her overcome her adversities, she has matured as a singer and song writer and she continually touches people’s hearts and really connects with her fans. She is such a lovely person who stays grounded with her success, such an inspiration. ;-)
Delta is an inspiration to everyone, the strength and resilience she has shown for the health issues and personal traumas over the years is beyond what many people could cope with, but here is Delta coming out the other side with the same positive determination she has always shown. Delta seems such a lovely person. I just don’t understand the hate that some seem to have for her. The same happened with John Farnham when he was popular, tall poppy syndrome?
