After I started watching your videos, I sold more cards in one month than I did in a whole year. The changes I applied, as mentioned in your videos, didn’t seem too significant at first glance, but they helped a lot. So just wanted to say thanks.
You're not alone, my last two submissions to PSA I've gotten destroyed on my grades. Cards that looked perfect and I couldn't find any imperfections were coming back at 8's and 9's. Almost seems like PSA is cracking down and grading tougher as of late.
Love the video and your honesty and cadence. You come across very humble and not complaining. I've had those head scratching orders as well. Luckily, usually one or two cards I get a 10 on that make it ok.
The worst part of buying random stuff is someone could’ve went through this same process , cracked them open, resold them in hopes someone would buy in hopes they could hit big
i was getting about a 50-60% gem rate on my submissions. My understanding it that psa dose a 20x magnification. i got a led magnifier off of amazon for $15. my last two psa's have come back 80-85%.... i got a centering tool as well. oh... i got a select field level AR off your ebay card looks good and i may grade it... these two tools made a big difference with my submissions... i can send you a link if you wants.... Thanks for the card
I’ve been grading for 2-1/ 2 years now and my last sub I got back 60% gem rate which was my worst since I started! Mainly all modern and a lot of judge and ohtani, I was at 80% gem.
You need to take the bad PSA scores on those autos and have them resubmitted for an authentic and an auto grade. That way you get a Authentic 10 which just Feels better. It’s like just getting a 10 to some.
I just got back in to the hobby and I heard was no one had respect for PSA 10’s because they were handed out like candy. Maybe PSA heard the complaints.. Giving the public what they ask for.
Maybe I missed it from the original video, but why did you think that Mahomes wasn't going to grade well? Were there noticeable damage or rounded corners, print marks etc..? I know PSA, and every other grading company really, is inconsistent at times, but to grade a 10, that card HAD to overall look "good". And your initial lookover indicated that something definitely was wrong with it? (in terms of possibly getting a 10 that is) So wondering if you saw something on the card condition-wise, or if PSA is just nuts
It seemed off centrered but technically psa can still give a 10 for slightly oc cards...he may have lucked out that the grader for the Mahones was more lenient.
I'm super confused how you can miss these obvious cards that had issues: Burrow orange optic: off-centered top/bottom Shohei orange optic: off-centered top/bottom Adley rutschman: off-centered L/R Bohm red optic: off-centered L/R Vientos topps chrome gold wave: off-centered top/bottom AND L/R Purdy purple prizm ice: off-centered L/R Devonta smith prizm purple ice: off-centered top/bottom good video regardless
I used to get about 70% psa 10 returns. Then it went to about 45-50. My last sub was 16%!! It's not you. It's them! I'm sick of them. They control our pocket books. My low end estimate on my return was around $4400 in value with potential for $8000 on 60% gem rate. I made about $2,200! They robbed me of at least $2,200 with their bad grades. I've graded thousands of cards. I'd like to think i know what I'm doing by now.
If you want to determine if your cards were worthy of the grades, they obtained or whether or not PSA is simply giving you poor grades to control the POP report, which means "they" control the market, there's an "infallible" method of doing so...just crack and resubmit the PSA 8's either yourself or via a close friend and if a high percentage of those PSA 8s and even some of the PSA 9's obtain PSA 10s or at least PSA 9s, THEN, and THEN only will YOU know PSA is full of shit!
This is brutal, it absolutely isn’t relevant that you came out “in profit” on this submission. You should have made way more. So many of those 8s should of been 9s or 10s
Look, I know I am in the "minority" when I say this, but PSA will continue to do this and go absolutely "unchecked," unless the government starts to regulate the sports cards/trading cards industry. Yes, I am calling for regulations! It's needed to protect the consumer(collector) because when the #1 grading company(PSA), can acquire the #2 grading company(SGC) we, the (collector) loses, period! Government regulations will force each grading company to use some semblance of a structured grading process, eliminate monopolies, allowing smaller grading companies to not be eaten alive by the larger companies and more importantly reduce costs for you and I!

Really glad I could help, that means a lot

Just send your cards to BGS. You'll get a fair grade and no upcharges

But given how random the grading process is with PSA, who's to say they don't grade better the second go through

We really need notes on our submissions that justify the grades, it would be a massive help.
There is no explanation
They have it now but you have to pay stupid amount per card
Congrats on the Figo card, best one in the lot imho.
Amateur card collector/seller and I enjoy your tips and videos, going to my first card show tomorrow. Keep up the good and thank you!
Only invest in Kansas City players! Good idea...thats what I do!! Great video, thanks!
I would take that submission all day. Big cards get 10s!! Sign me up. Great Video!!
This is why I started sending my cards to BGS & SGC, and I am totally satisfied. I got tired of PSA
I’ve been grading for 2-1/ 2 years now and my last sub I got back 60% gem rate which was my worst since I started! Mainly all modern and a lot of judge and ohtani, I was at 80% gem.

Have you considered cracking and resubmitting on a couple of them? Maybe some of the 7s and 8s it would be a good idea.
Another great video had a similar sub in November post expo about 40% gem rate still a profitable grading sub all round but worst result so far
Do you only grade PSA? And or what’s your thought on grading with SGC or Beckett
I just got back in to the hobby and I heard was no one had respect for PSA 10’s because they were handed out like candy. Maybe PSA heard the complaints.. Giving the public what they ask for.
Send the 7 to TAG. I’d be interested to see their report! Nice video!
Brutal submission but great cards, dont blame you for sending them in.
If your doing baseball typically stay away from sticker auto's. It's different than soccer, but alot of collectors will only buy on-card auto's
Do you use a grade tool and self grade or check gem rates before sending in?
Seems like your grader got a flat tire on his way to work 😅
Thank goodness for the Gems that carried!
I’m convinced when you send cards at a super cheap special level, you get worse grades
Then sending at regular or higher.
I just got back an order just like that , My grader was having an 8 type of day . I have also sent in a lot of cards .
The worst part is how long you wait to be disappointed. It’s a lot of build up and no happy ending.
@JaxsonJustSentYouToTheLobby It can feel that way .
Debating on sending my rookie lebrons & Chris Bosh to PSA

Figo would say easy 1500-2000 when not more
Hm on the burrow 7
Bro how do u send cards to psa
It’s in their website I think it’s 16.99 a card graded
Yeah they killed you on that submission for sure. But the 10s were nice.
Corbin Carroll had an off year. He is cheap right now.
I'm super confused how you can miss these obvious cards that had issues:
Burrow orange optic: off-centered top/bottom
Shohei orange optic: off-centered top/bottom
Adley rutschman: off-centered L/R
Bohm red optic: off-centered L/R
Vientos topps chrome gold wave: off-centered top/bottom AND L/R
Purdy purple prizm ice: off-centered L/R
Devonta smith prizm purple ice: off-centered top/bottom
good video regardless
Off centered cards get PSA 10's. Just can't be too off centered

Just submit to BGS. You'll get more accurate grades and won't get upcharged
@@DanielCordone9if you write that enough times maybe you will start believing it...
I still don’t understand how a unanimous person with unknown credentials is supposed to tell us how good our cards are condition wise. Hmmm.. ok
PSA is king!

I know you were being nice. But to me it had to be the grader.
What up yo

How can you tell on a TH-cam video?
