ignoring time investment and fees when selling, not to mention the fluctuations in price whenselling these as the values are probably averages on the higher end.
How do you determine the grading price been wanting to grade some cards
I have some old cards all first edition I have a complete binder including the charzard Holo found moving my parents out of there house every holo from ist edition and u think every like regular card of the Pokemon. How much would that cost?
Profit wasn't worth the trouble in this case
@@hunterhilbert4559 Grading costs a set amount. There is an upcharge if you have a very valuable card.
As much as they charge to grade, PSA should send a report with each card stating how many points were taken and the reason for them being assessed. Thanks for another fun and interesting video Nick!!
Or just use BGS and get sub grades.

I know grading is an art and not a science, but I really think they purposefully give certain numbers to control the overall card population at a specific grade.
Check the population of more recent sets and their chase cards and youd find that false. Older cards are harder to get graded in a 10
that rainbow blastoise was SO off center, I think you're right. that did not deserve a 10.

Graders make barely above minimum wage. Tommy at psa is 100% thinking more about lunch than he is about PoPuLaTiOn CoNtRol. Pop control is only spouted by people who don’t know how to effectively pregrade cards themselves.

For every undeserving ten you get someone else’s ten gets a 7

@raduck5240 so this was first time. I went with a local person who has PSA account that was sending a bunch in. I sent the rayquaza along with the 151 and obsidian flames charizard. 151 got 9. Obsidian got 8. The 151 surprised me cause it looked flawless to me. And there was one tiny white spec on obsidian from the cut and I thought would be atleast 9

I appreciate you grading cards for people to see, especially from different sets/generations. I myself haven’t graded my collection but makes me want to!
I use to want to grade all my rare cards. But for some reason, I prefer them raw now. I enjoy opening my binder and seeing all my rares being buddies rather than single slabs.
I am in the same boat, went from being a slab fanatic to wanting a binder full of expensive cards

you are by far my fav im just getting into openings and the cards. love your energy. keep it up
The Lillie's border centering has a slight twist shift to it on the front and back. Couldn't see anything on the Snorlax but it could of had a micro indentation/s on the textured holo that is usually an auto 6. Pulling some modern gold cards out of Ancient Origins packs in the past and I have seen them so it could be a possibility in other S&S sets. I noticed a few small little dots also on the Latias & Latios GX along with the indentation on the side of it that you saw. The micro indentations are the size of pin pricks or a fine ballpoint pen so they can be difficult to see on these highly textured shiny cards.

This was a fun challenge. I love picking up clean cards as singles and trying to grade up and flip!
New to more serious collecting so I haven’t seen that Gengar & Mimikyu team up card and now I’ll be on a mission to find one. I love that card.
I've only ever bought a few graded cards, and its because they were at a similar price to raw and the slab makes them easier to display.

I thought some of them were gonna be a number higher. Though I am not the best judge for it since i like keeping my cards raw instead, having my collection on a nice display in my binders.

The Snorlax had a small indent on the back bottom that you found and hoped PSA wouldnt catch in the original video of you receiving the card. Guess they caught it lol. 😕
