Omar’s view on life, and what’s important.. are absolutely beautiful. His perspective shines in his personality. I would be blessed to have a friend like him.
50:09 its funny cuz he IS a great guitar player but sometimes he hits a lot of notes out of key on the guitar and i just go like "nah those aint the wrong notes, thats just omar's playing style, its cool." meanwhile omar is probably in his head like "i fucking hate this shitty instrument"
Went to see this at Genesis in London and didn't realise that I was at the film premiere lol. Thought it was just a showing. Nicolas was there himself taking questions and all sorts. Very good film. Looking forward to watching it again.
@@zagyex same! Met him a number of times after shows, got to talk to him and Cedric. They’re both awesome people Cedric more so now, at first way back when he didn’t like to interact too much with fans.
the movie was good but i wish he would release his archive and footage, especially those concerts. There aren't many video recordings available during their peak period around 2005. The performance they showed of the Widow was spectacular
In a college documentary class they wanted us to show up with a script of what we were about to go shoot. I knew I was gonna have a problem when I was the only one who showed up without one saying I don’t know what I filmed yet so I don’t know what the story will be, and I don’t want the result to be from bias. Hearing that’s your belief as well is awesomely reaffirming.
I think Omar was just anxious. As someone with pretty intense social anxiety myself, I feel like my IQ drops by like 10-15 points when I’m feeling particularly anxious: my vocabulary feels vastly reduced, memory becomes severely limited, stumble over my words, etc. He even said in the beginning that he couldn’t remember what he was trying to say a moment ago because he was nervous.
Only people born as Virgos truly understand Omars personality and perspective on life. I always watch these interviews and resonate so much with his words and viewpoints.
How is this possibly okay? You’re trying to push your beliefs onto other people, and would likely throw a fit if someone left information about a synagogue or mosque at the grocery store or whatever. It’s none of your business what anyone else does or thinks. You represent your religion very poorly.
All those years of footage and we end up with zero good concert footage, very little humor, no art. Instead we get a VH1 style vague homosexual junkie love story where the footage barely matches the narrative. Oh then we end with scientology. Insert woke narratives abundant.
@@bachache9833 it's not an autobiography. Omar allowed the film maker to go through years of footage and assemble a narrative. Even his choppy timeline skips over entire eras. Its awful. His intention was seemingly to make some deep friendship story but he failed on every level. Mars Volta deserves better.
Its nice to hear from Omar again. And see him well. He finally turned into what he always was...A Fania All stars member.

I can't believe Omar was getting piped down by Jeremy the whole time.
Coulda been the other way round, and if he fucks like he plays guitar, it had to be violent 😮

how does this lil guy have pants that are shorter than his actual LEGS
i guess he's just a bit too big to be a lil guy that fits in small pants
I guess, style?
Awesome, a documentary that is available to view nowhere.
Great Job guys!!!!
yo real talk: 1. english bro talks WAY TO MUCH about himself 2. OMAR QUE ONDA!?!?!? why is your short term memory so weak homie!?
