- In this video, we look at Ford CEO Jim Farley's recent announcement on the debut of five new automobile models in 2025. Ford lovers and automotive fans are in for a treat as the famous Ford Taurus returns triumphantly, promising to mix current innovation with the timeless appeal that made it a favourite. Along with this, the Ford Bronco Pickup Truck will reach the market, hoping to compete with the Jeep Gladiator and Toyota Tacoma thanks to its tough design and off-road capabilities.
But that's not all: luxury meets nostalgia with the reintroduction of the Lincoln Continental, a name synonymous with elegance and grace. This latest generation is projected to compete with premium sedans from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, introducing a new yet timeless design to the luxury segment. Furthermore, the Ford Maverick Lightning is poised to electrify the compact truck industry, standing out as a flexible and environmentally responsible alternative to competitors such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Honda Ridgeline.
The surprises continue with the return of the Ford Ranchero, which combines the best of a pickup and a sedan and targets a distinct market niche that might pit it against cars such as the Subaru Baja and the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Each of these vehicles exemplifies Ford's dedication to innovation, design, and performance, paving the way for a competitive automotive environment in 2025. Stay tuned as we investigate the features, specifications, and possible impact of these intriguing new releases from one of the automotive industry's premier brands. I am a Ford owner. My message to Ford is to cut the BS, return to basics. Good quality and affordable cars. No EV's, they are trash. No rebadging. Give me quality, quality. Affordable quality.
And a standard transmission option !!!!
EV's are trash.......Did you check with your "Political Party" first to find out how you should feel about it?
I agree with everything you said. Get back to rock solid engine/transmission combos. My 2.5 L fusion gets 37 hwy/22 city, forget eco-boost! The tech is the best it's ever been. Stop messing around and build a full size platform again. Police, cabs, limos and yes, ltb's (last time buyers ) need cars.
I agree with all 3 of you (Leclenand1, Juan and DonaldPiper). Give me a normal transmission, stable fuel efficient gasoline engine (I still think there is a ton of untapped potential from a well tuned V6 engine-transmission mating). Heck, I would even like to see a baseline vehicle with manual roll-down windows. I would love to see Ford return to its glory days, but I am afraid that is long gone. My first new vehicle as youngster was a 2001 Ford F150 (I was 25 at the time?) and that truck was a tank. No problems and always dependable..even in the freezing cold/snowy months. The only reason I traded it in was to upgrade to a HD truck to tow my trailer and boat. I am afraid that Ford has completely lost touch with the common person.
I hear you we don’t need anymore EVs I’m ford owner myself. I honestly think that they should go back to what works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
The only hope for Ford's future is to improve their quality. Toyota's quality slide gives Ford a window of opportunity - which Ford will likely squander.
EVs. Won’t they ever learn?
No when Democrats are running the show! FJB
@@gartwilliams3347It’s alot deeper than that my brother..
I bet that none of these New Revised Name plates ( vehicles) will be sold in North America ( USA) but most likely in the Chinese market as well as Theon Europe and Australia !!
The New Taurus was first introduced in China and it is now being brought into the USA. China, not the USA, is the world's biggest car market.
The Bronco pickup truck looks good. Same for Ranchero - if it has any power. Nobody wants EVs. My 2004 F-150 gets 500 miles per fill-up. Let me know when an EV can do that! Also, insurance is twice as much for an EV and lithium batteries have a tendency to catch fire! EV's are done!! 😂😂😂😂
Ford was so stupid to stop making the Fusion which was a huge hit. Three people I work with still drive their Fusions 60+ miles each way for work with one guy having 400k miles on his and looking for a low mile used Fusion to replace it with. The new Taurus might be right down all of their alley's as a replacement for some well used Fusions, as they have over 250k miles.
If I remember correctly, the first Fusion was a coop effort with Mazda. Second generation was Ford Germany. First generation was hard to fault.
It was their best selling car for many years after the 2nd generation came out, and it was the last model of car they quietly sold under they ended production in 2020.
And honestly, I believe that if they continued to improve on the Fusion, it still would have sold. Many car makers were exiting the passenger car market because most manufacturers stopped trying because the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord outsold them all. Toyota and Honda upped their game in the mid size market in the mid 2010s and everyone else did a half ass effort to basically say "tHaT's NoT wHaT pEoPlE wAnT aNyMoRe." Those cars still sell well in the US nowadays, proving the demand for that type of car has never diminished like most manufacturers would like to claim.
@@TheProgGuy I know 3 or 4 guys that would buy a new Fusion in a hot second if they were available. They got good to great mileage, were comfortable, affordable and bullet-proof.
They aren't selling ANY of the cars on the lots now. These people are out of their damn minds
Too bad that they didn't make a Ranchero based on the Panther platform - it could have been so great.
I agree! Bring back the Crown Victoria.
Why launch a bronco pickup when you have a new Ramger on the same platform. Won't that eat into each other"s sales?
Probably gonna retire the ranger.
All cars starting at an affordable $100k 😂
@Iceman bu1eg not true the current average for a new car in the US is 47,400 in 2024 and there are still models that start in the low 20,000 range like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic while the cheapest midsize car starts around 30k the Toyota Camry and nearly half of the Camrys annual sales are in the US and the cheapest midsize American sports car the Ford Mustang sold 53,000 units in the US in 2023
They need to bring back the crown vic
Not enough retail sales to justify it
I would love something like the old platform of the panther. That can do 500,000 mile be super reliable. And again dominate the full size arena.
Who cares ?? Whats it matter if you can't afford to buy it ??? My Dad had a AAA credit score and had been buying from our local dealer for years and he could Not even afford to buy the then New 2016 Taurus !!!! Thats when a Man who Had been a Ford guy most of his Life went to KIA ........ NO REGRETS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you write that you can't afford something, you're telling people, you're poor.
@@AZGT350 Your Absolutely right , Thats why I drive a 2021 K5 and Own 2 House's .................LMFAO !!!!!
@@deannaguin8096 that is one of the worst cars you could buy with your money lol
I thought they got rid of cars to focus on pickup trucks.
Leadership is lost….
Ford hallmark reliability? Did I fall asleep for 50 years and suddenly wake up?
Well said!

Are all these models targeting the North American market? If so, Ford is doing an about face from a few years ago when they all but killed most cars in their lineup in favor of SUVs.
that taurus looks like a rebadged fusion.
Ford - Number #1 in recalls!
Bring back an exact copy of the '67/68 Fastback Mustangs with huge motors . Torinos too .
The Toe Coma and the Glad he ate her, what a ride.
I am a Cadillac man, currently owning a Platinum CT6, but I'd like to check out their new Lincolns!
They should have brought back the town car
What is stunning is there very recent recall of 668,000 transmissions! lol
Are any of these going to be in America, and hasn’t for learned from the F150 Lightning?
Will the Taurus have an SHO model?
That would be nice 👍🏾
I hope it would have the 3.0 from the explorer
Fords I have owned: 1967 Ford Galaxie, 1970 Ford 500, 1973 Mercury Marquis, 1976 For Elite, 1986 Mercury Sable...and haven't owned one since. When they fire Jim Farley, I will once again buy a Ford!
Is his brother Chris Farley?
That's his cousin, no joke.
@@burtlewand5915 They do look similar
,CHRIS FARLEY WAS JIM'S COUSIN, LOOK IT UP.
Bring back the color of yellow in the truck line
Maybe?
Fords challenge will be QUALITY JOB ONE😂!
True for many years, they have now lost their way. Toyota is now starting down that same road.
What exactly does “competitive “ mean I wonder?
Oh, I wasn’t even slightly stunned either.
With Stellantis basically saying goodbye to the US market soon I really want to like Ford but I’ve been screwed by Ford multiple times on warranty and service.
bringing back the name won't bring back the glory of what the cars use to be without all the bs "modernization". Bronco will never be the same, as Rancharo, Lincoln. We have a Taurus and love. Modern tech does not mean it is better. Again, Thanks Joe
Thunderbird?
DOT laws say 4 lights on front of vehicle ssooo illegal to drive!!! still will not do a heavyier truck for work a half ton is to light for work and more reliable
DIM Farley has screwed up Europe so don’t hold your breath for vehicles that customers actually want…!
I only count 2 car models.
Lincoln Continental, and Taurus.
The other 3 are trucks.
I really hope the Ranchero is more car than crossover because then they’ll be competing with their own Maverick
all models shown have foreign plates. Prob not coming to the USA
Is Jim Farley Chris Farley's brother? He looks and sounds a lot like him, and I'm pretty sure Chris had brothers. Anyone know? Edit: I googled him and he is Chris's cousin. So that's cool.
Renude?
My opinion is....... FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP AND FLOP...............
I was excited at first by the announcement, but then they just add stuff I don't need or want. It's like they're serving a master and not the customers.
That’s a lot of Corporations sadly they just want to see a big green number.
No one wants EVS Ford is making a mistake. The Lincoln Continental needs to be elevated literally and asteticlly ... It looks like a Toyota .💯🧐
The tail lights look like a Dodge!
Every car manufacturer has to pay homage to the Great Climate Change -God- hoax. They have no choice.
The only bright ideas here is bringing the Taurus and Continental back. Don’t need the Bronco pickup as the Jeep Gladiators are sitting on the Jeep car lots. You already have the Maverick to compete with the Santa Cruz. Maverick may do ok as an EV compared to the disaster that the F150 Lightning has become. Ford also has to go back to Quality is Job1!
Trucks... good reasonable priced trucks...that were tough as hell!
So why doesn’t Europe get a new Mondeo, like the Chinese one. That’s a decent looking car🤔. Also ‘consumer preferences’ really! They ditched the Fiesta in Europe, their best selling model. They didn’t listen to their customers, many thousands still wanted to buy another generation of Fiesta, not everyone needs a BIG car☹️
Ford last quality truck around 1975, last quality car was 1972.
Farley is still on Toyotas payroll and is doing a great job of driving Ford into the ground and out of business, Bill Ford is an incompetent, Ford DESERVES to go out of buisness, and I'm a long time fanboy saying that, stupid people win stupid prizes...
Cut back on the SUVs and EVs!! Bring back a good CAR!!
How in the name of GOD did this Jim FARTley guy become CEO of Ford. I just can NOT comprehend or understand this!
Who was he before? I only just started his name recently
no tempo😢
A new Ranchero with a trunk-sized bed 🙄
"New taurus...likely to appeal to loyal fans of the model"
Ill stop you right there. The Taurus died in 2005 when Ford moved to their trash idea of naming all models under a word that started with "F". From there, the Taurus became the five hundred and the Taurus X came from the freestyle, both cars which basically flopped. They went from a mid size car to a full size car and basically ended the model nameplate. The Fusion took over in sales since that is what replaced 4th generation Taurus. There are many hundreds of thousands of those compared to the bulky full size Taurus that really didnt appeal to any "loyal consumers." 2019 officially killed the Taurus and to have a model discontinued for over 5 years, their statement of "appealing to loyal consumers" in it's "revival" is a dramatic overstatement.
I got rid of my 2020 Escape. Pieces of the vehicle kept falling off. Ford refused to buy it back. They lost a life long customer
Not interested in Bronco or Ranchero unless they lose the four doors and all upgraded systems. Just give us a basic vehicle for a change FORD.
Another site full of click bait and Chinese crap.
You have to be crazy to buy a EV vehicle! Coal powered or gas powered! Have you seen the price of electricity lately?
Of all the vehicles I ever owned, the biggest pos was the '78 Ford Ranchero. The new one will be just as bad.
Pretty them up all you want, still junk......especially now
No EV's!!! How many of these supposed new models are actually Mazda s under the hood....
The Sport Trac was dropped because of the housing crash that made everyone get rid of their SUVs. But the Ranger is fairly comparable to that.
Ev’s suck!
Fix Of Repair Daily ~~~~~~~FORD!!!!!🎉
Ford is not doing nothing new. Jeep has the pickup variant of the Wrangler and the success of the Charger is pushing Ford to bring back sedans. As for the Lincoln, Chrysler had the luxury market prior to this. So, Ford is following the Chrysler Corporations footsteps.
Is Ford's CEO schitzoid? He said no more cars except Mustang. Now 5 new models? The Ranchero isn't needed, neither are any more EVs! How about making Ford vehicles simpler, more reliable, and more affordable?
Boy if this is true what a line up of crap bummer.
Looks like all high price vehicles, Most people can't afford them.. No basic vehicles with a price tag of $20,000 to $25,000... Ford will loose again...
There is NOTHING special about any of these offerings. I'll just pick one. As the former owner of a '61 Lincoln Continental Convertible, here is my thought. The new Lincoln is boring to say the least. I'll bet the style of the '61 just as it was would sell many more vehicles this latest pablum offering. And it looks identical to the other two offerings.
Is this guy related to Chris Farley? Looks a lot like he is. But how on earth can they bring the, Ranchero name back, and have it look like that? Doesn't even look close to resembling the original. Get a grip ford. As a loyal ford owner of tons of vehicles, that one is disgusting. And why bring back the Taurus name too for that matter, the ine good Taurus was the original sho for that matter. Wow ford, guess you really want, Factory Ordered Road Debris to be the norm.
This looks like 100% AI Generated bullshit.
Ford's slapping old names on the same tired (and expensive) autos. I notice no pricing is given, either....
Nope...
ev pu BOOOOOO
This junk is why I am buying a Camry GR. a high performance sedan with quality
I don't believe any of this. What's next, the Falcon Sprint? Just another phoned-in AI fantasy circle jerk.
another stooooopid youtube headline...somehow the car workld is not stunned
All lies trust me
As a former Ford owner (first time I bought something else), ditch the EV's - the infrastructure to power them doesn't exist. Plug in EV's - yeah, ok. Also, Ford dealerships need to be honest with their customers. Had a 2011 Ford Escape, took it to my local dealership for all maintenance and repairs. Somehow, the dealership failed to notice/inform me that the rear frame was rusted/rotting out and a danger to driving. Again, the only place I took the Escape for routine maintenance and repairs was the dealership. Took it to a local auto shop to have the AC looked at. Had previously had the AC system replaced/repaired multiple times. They were the first to inform me about the frame damage. Fuck Ford and my local dealer. Went elsewhere. May never go back.
Bring back the Capri - might be interested in one of them as my Dad had one.
What a lot of BS, nothing founded in facts .
I will never buy an EV.
If they don't change the rear end of the car it will fail again. The back end of the previous Continental was the worst design ever.
Junk junk junk junk and more junk is that 5 ?
100percent fake! People will believe ANYTHING!! HOW SAD
Oh good, an EV Maverick. Another money loser for Ford.
Pure propaganda
Lol they said they weren't going to make sedans and bring back the Taurus and it looks like shit. Don't get high hopes for the Ranchero 😂
More cheap crap
Bring back the crown Vic! RWD with a V8! That’s what ford needs to do
Well, the Bronco, continental, Taurus, Maverick lighting are welcome. I don't think they need the Ranchero
