I don’t mean to bring this argument here but string orchestra obviously doesn’t need percussion and they’re easily able to stay in time with each other I’mn actually not trying to start a argument. I’m just saying.
As a Euph player I’m just happy someone remembered we existed. I don’t really care if you call us a Baritone and most of the time when I explain what it is (cause most don’t know) I just call it “a mini tuba” it’s technically not wrong. I was switched from Trumpet and I haven’t met on who wasn’t switched over from something most of the time a trumpet or woodwind or trombone.
I ain’t never seen a fat bari player. Usually just tall guys that love playing an instrument that fits their size. (Coming from a 5’10, not fat tenor sax/tuba player)
As an alto, we all hate it when people play careless whisper and it’s mainly freshman and middle schoolers that actually think it’s funny (yes I used to be this way but I’m sane now)
Literally, the only one I thought was wrong was the bassoon and percussion, our bassoon more experted in yapology and us percussionists are VERY funny (I went into percussion because it had a cool name not because I knew I was gonna hit stuff)

We aren't the reason piano was invented, they had to invent fortissississimo specifically for us. We can play a triple-p. The real question ie can yall play a quadruple-f?

as a clarinetist, i can confirm
also yes, the altos have careless whisper memorized
I am an alto and i can confirm that(tho you wouldnt hear it in our band room, one wrong move and you get flamed)
Tenor saxes wearing vans is the realist thing ever
As a bass clarinetist thank you for acknowledging me.
As a quite large Bari sax player I’m glad you appreciate our size.
I have a friend who i sit next to in band, he plays bari sax and i play baritone horn. bari sax kid is HUGE, and i'm a friggin spaghetti strand
@ I’m not fat per say but I’m overweight. Just a big kid in general though, tall, wide shoulders.
This is scarily accurate, i play trombone.. i ALWAYS play loud, I love to draw, and i have long arms 😭
I’m a percussionist and this is the most accurate and beautiful thing 🥁
I Chose euphonium by myself and it’s probably the best choice I’ve made
As a saxophonist theres a split:
- The ones obsessed with Careless Whisper
- The ones who hate it with a passion (majority).
as a clarinet i can confirm i never actually practice other than pep-band and 9th period

as a euphonium, keep ignoring the baritones. THEY ARE THE INFERIOR ONES
I agree
real, baritones are trombones that just wanted to be different

as a french horn i couldn't agree more, we even have rituals for our instruments sometimes and we're still the most sane
i play bass clarinet and i feel honored
percussion hit WAY too close to home, only thing off is im too nervous to make a joke out of fear that it wont land with the other percussionists
