very detailed build I did a k20/k24 in my ek sedan excpet I just switched to aftermarket cams and kept the bottom end stock the results where pretty good
Oooh that’s awesome! And yeah was surprised it was that simple to surpass 300 And on ur k20/k24 that is something I can imagine I mean regardless if “sedan” u prolly built a “snappy” runner ftw!
Maaan u have no idea how thankful I am for you guys… back before I made the channel, I thought I was weird for taking notes and remembering all the details and kept notes and photos of it Atleast now I realize we are all the same!! 🤣😂🤣
End of this year I am going to build a k24/k20 too. Love how detailed you explain things, really helpful 🙏🏼 what are the costs of porting/flowing/portmatching the head and intake?
Love watching your videos, great job! How people make k24/k20, even k20 with more agressive cams without blowing the engine? Last,i've heard that tensioners from timing belt, even the aftermarket one won't hold and will fail causing engine blow. In k24/k20 i've seen some engine blow, some say due to bore stroke ratio, is that true? And if not how can we build to make it reliable?
Good afternoon, I tried to find information myself but could not and decided to ask you. The motor k24 is going to the bottom on the pistons SS 11.5 to 1 RBC head with slight porting. The exhaust system will be self-made without a catalyst, standard C-RV plastic intake. The motor will be placed on the C-RV 2 with a automatik transmihsn. The task is in pleasant dynamics from the bottom and in the middle rpm, driving around the city and the highway, no races and maximum figures from the dyno are needed. And the question is, K24a3 is taken as the basis, I would like, since such a thing, the VTC gear by 50 degrees, but what shaft can be put in addition to k24z3, does it have an alternative? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Oh nice project! A camshaft that is not expensive and far is stock Specifically a k24a2 or k24a3 of 2003-2007 are the bigger “stock cams” but shhh don’t tell anyone that’s a secret :)
@@SRDmotorsports thx for the replay , I'm from the caraibean and watch your videos alote , I'm setting up a k24z7 and I have a kms ecu I'm putting on it , I've locked the vtec im using k24a1 intake cam cause the k24z7 cam got damaged, i want to delete the vtc cause the kms don't controle the vtc , should I lock it in full position or at least half way , it's a 50° cam gear from the k24a1 rbc .
really depends and the numbers on the Vtc the 25 or the 50 is degreed overlap so that’s something to consider and check But leaving the Vtc as is may just keep it at “zero” so might not have to do anything

@@findtherightbeat funny story… if you remember Bong’s yellow EF was also the first Kswap in the Philippines… and back then (Clark Intl Speedway didn’t exist yet) in Omni (Clark) I watched them Race the yellow EF on a stock K20 on TypeR tranny with 5.1fd , Pepi said and realized cuz he tried. This we did it in 2018 so generally cheaper But even back then.. if u simply do the math? On parts and add it all up? The “shelf”‘price seems insanely high like example “1m” When u do the math if all “bnew” it just tops 450-500k 😂 so maybe the price is the wow factor as sales talk hahaha
Those pistons look really nice. 300hp is a lot. Nice share. You got my like. Keep up.

Good question, I mean I haven’t tested alot of K’s yet but there must be a solution for sure
Timing chain issue is remedied by replace tct on stock motors every 80k and on aftermarket cams every 40-50k

“Sakal” if spent gasses cannot exit the chamber after the exhaust stroke, the induction stroke enters the engine with contaminated fumes adding to it
