Blessings MsBrenda. So happy to hear you are healing and getting stronger. I love being outside as well. Today I planted periwinkles in my flower beds in the backyard! Watching your video while I rest. Goulash is a favorite go to meal. Been cooking for 65 years now.....will soon be 72 years old. I love to cook and watch others cook and enjoy. You are such a joy to watch. Continue to get stronger and stronger. You are in my prayers! 💐
Hello My Sister Faye. It's nice to hear from you. Yes...I'm feel lots better now. I feel my old self returning each day. Thanks for all your prayers and love. You all are So Special to me. I know your flower beds is so beautiful. I have so many things I want to do in my yard. I know my neighbors are wondering what's really going on with me cause I'm always working outside waving and speaking to them. I know you are a good cook and I wouldn't mind being your neighbor so I could eat some of your cooking. Thanks again for all your prayers and support. God Bless You!!!
im tickled pink to see all these videos on youtube, im one of those old guys, 76, i love cooking, hate clean up, but this is great that so many of you share real food on here. i got great grandchildren that love my dishes, with todays generation its hard to tell what you're eating. years ago when me and my boys lived alone for a few years i would make up things to cook to fill us up, not lots of you call it different names, still food though. i would tell my wife i want my pasta and meat sauce together not one poured on the other on a plate, she insisted on calling it ghoulash, fine, my sister called on of my dishes ice box stew, now i find lots of names for it. just about what you did here only instead of pasta i put what we had maybe for left overs, or just pick a can off the shelf, string beans, corn, maybe a can of new potatoes cut up a little and cooked in. i was more interested in getting us fed than what it was called. i also made lots of different variations of corn bread, well that was in the 80s, things changed some. now im old and alone again and ive decided to start baking, just pies and banana pudding for now, made my best so far yesterday, strawberry pie and a chocolate pie, took them over and the grand kids and great grand kids loved them. so i'll keep watching and looking for new ideas, who knows maybe ill find someone that cooks their pasta in the sauce like my grama did, so far im told im crazy. thanks for this video, by the way im and old arkansas cotton picking boy displaced to texas years ago
Hello Mr. Jimmie. I understand where you are coming from. Yes...i have made up things to cook myself. We fed our children what we could afford to buy and our kids still enjoyed what we cooked. So..... you are a baker now and baking up some good sounding desserts. I know you children, grandchildren and great grands loves your cooking. Thank you for sharing those precious memories with us. I love hearing about back in the day. I'm a Texan born and raised here. Thanks for watching my videos. God Bless You!!
jimmie Roan you are not crazy. I always cook my pasta in with the rest. That’s the way I like it. Others can cook it Separately if they like. Fine with me.
Looks good, similar to my moms! I make it from time to time. I add a teaspoon of brown sugar, some butter at the end. I also like to add chili powder and a hot pepper or two, it then becomes chili mac.
Ahhh yes, your home cooking brings back so many memories of when my mom and grandma cook for holidays and Sundays meals thank you so much. Stay blessed and take care of yourself.😍😍😍❤❤❤
Thanks Miss Vixen j. You are So Sweet. Yes.... those memories are so precious. Thank for watching. I'm trying really hard to take care of myself. You Stay Blessed as well.

Thank you..my friend. This is my children and grandchildren #1 favorite dish. There are never any leftovers. Thanks for watching. Be Blessed as well. Love and Peace. **I will be calling you soon.
That looks soo good looks like my momma made she was from Germany but watching this brings back memories of my childhood I’m 58 now and I’d love to have a big bowl of that you made thanks for the inspiration 😀
My grandma used to make this dish. I'd almost forgotten about it. Sure brings me back to those delicious years! Thank you for the. bringing back the memory! Take care, Ms Brenda De.
Hello Mr. Skip. Thank you. Glad to hear from you again. I know you are a good cook and be cooking up some good dishes. Thanks for all you support. Have a Blessed Day!!
My mother made goulash very much like this, but she assembled it like you did, and then she baked it. Same ingredients with perhaps more chopped onions, ground beef and chopped green peppers. I have heard some people include shredded cheese, but my mom did not. This looks yummy---I can almost smell it from here. Thank you for sharing!
Hi MsBrenda Dee, your Goulash looks fantastic. Yes I do remember this as a child, my mom used to make it for us...Looked just like this. I could almost smell it as you were cooking it. I like that you cooked your macaroni separately from the meat sauce. That's the way I make it too. I've seen some video's of goulash making where they dump the dried noodles right into the sauce and let simmer for awhile it soaks up most of the sauce. I like to keep an eye on my noodles though so they're not sticking and burning at the bottom. Thank you for the recipe!
Awe.....You're very welcome R Vandenburg. Thanks for sharing your childhood memories. As a child... I couldn't wait on my plate to made and I enjoyed every bite and that cornbread really topped it off....lol. Thanks for watching. Blessings to you and your family.

You always make my day brighter. I will take care of my self. Thank for caring. Thanks for watching and Have a blessed day!!!
All of my immediate family growing up made their own version. Mom went back to work and I was in about 5th grade when we took over all the chores. I liked spirals, one liked bow ties, another macaroni, somebody liked shells. All the same but different also. When we added corn we generally used macaroni and added some chili powder. It was always good, and it was always filling, and we tried to make enough that there WERE leftovers to snack on or for lunch on the weekend.
Thanks for sharing your memories..Mr. Andy. I love those precious memories. Beef Goulash is my children and grandchildren favorite meal. Along with the cornbread. I may cook some today. You've got my taste buds acting up now...Lol. Thanks for watching. Have a Blessed Day!!

I sure remember it! I've made it, too. In our family we add the corn and okra, and a little sugar, but don't add the bell pepper. Either way this is a delicious meal, and I've made variations many times according to what I had on hand, and have never been disappointed! Thank you, MsBrenda Dee, yours looked awesome!
Grew up with that kind of cooking. Ham and beans, with corn bread, home made noodles, chicken and dumplings, spam, ring bologna. Man I'm getting hungry talking about it. Good video!
My mother used to make it all the time when I was a kid. I loved it. She just made the basic recipe you did in the video. She never added corn or anything else to it. It was delicious.

I’m going to try your recipe and I bet this will hit the nail on the head! And I guarantee you ANYTHING, she added some sugar because hers always had a hint of sweetness to it!
My grandma use to make it but she made hers with her homemade sausage and it was delicious! And oh yes it was never done without a big skilleted cornbread!

Hello Ms. Brenda Dee - My name is Ms. Sandra Jo, and I think you are so fabulous!!! I am late in finding you, but I loved your video, loved the goulash (I have made it since watching) and love the baby in the background who is playing and happy!!! I just love how you talk to your followers as well! You asked everyone how they were doing - planting gardens, or what have you - and I thought that was so thoughtful and kind! I have subscribed to your channel and hope to see you again! Thank you for making my day!!! I hope you are being safe and healthy!
Hello Ms Sandra Jo, Very Nice to meet you. Welcome To My Channel/Family. You are such a Sweet Lady …I can tell. I’m so glad you enjoyed that recipe and found my videos. Thanks for all your love and support. May God Continue To Bless You and Your Family. We Love You!! ❤️❤️❤️
By The Way Ms. Brenda Dee, even though I am late in finding you, you asked for Mommy or Grandmother stories about goulash - My Mother would make goulash the exact way you do, and when I was a little girl in the 70's, that is how she taught me how to brown ground beef. The first time, I was browning the hamburger with my Mother of course supervising, and when she turned to look at something, I ate a little piece of not fully cooked hamburger right out of the pan. Well, you would have thought that I just burned myself or something, because she got very heated, which she never did, and said, Sandy Jo, you are going to get worms and die if you eat raw hamburger! To this day, I cannot eat pink beef of any kind!! Wonderful memory of my sweet Mommy, and I thank you for bringing it to my mind. God Bless you!
Awww Thank You Ms Sandra. You’re so sweet. My Mother taught me how to cook as well and I understand where you are coming from. I loved her smothered hamburger steaks and gravy I miss her and her cooking so much. Thanks for your love and support. God’s Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Very nice video, but I just wanted to add something I believe you already know, but it makes a big difference if you put chicken/beef stock instead of water right into your simmering beef and veggies/seasonings and then add your raw RAW macaroni into that. It will soak up all that goodness you're putting into that pot, right into the macaroni, and you won't lose any of that flavor. It will also thicken it up a bit. PERFECT. I always add a cup or so of Monterey Jack, or whatever your favorite cheese would be. Don't use Parmesan, the grated fine kind....it will make it milky looking. Buon Appetito !!
I use beef stock, and cheese that fits my current mood. You are correct about adding the uncooked pasta-whatever type you prefer-and the effect on flavor and consistency.
Hello DjTechnoid. I so......glad to be feeling better. I miss cooking for my ytube family. I know I got to take care of myself as well and I'm working on that. Thanks for your concern. Have a Wonderful Day!!!!

Oh how I long for my Grannie’s (great-grandmother) goulash! I often dream of her dish when I was a little girl! I’ve tried various recipes and nothing tastes like hers!

😍🤗🙇♀️😘
Looks good. Cook both bags, I am hungry.
So glad you are feeling better!
