- Join me as I chat with Tijana Sharp about her dual role as a PhD candidate and casual academic and how she uses her skillset in clinical practice.
About Tijana:
I am a current PhD Candidate and casual academic at UTS in the School of Sport and Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. My research focuses on High-Intensity Multimodal Training in the general population. I am particularly interested in how various methods of prescription influence the training stimulus and adaptations within this training mode.
In my teaching role at UTS I love working with first year uni students and spend a lot of my face to face teaching time in anatomy subjects where I strive to motivate students to learn in an applied manner right from the beginning of their degree.
With my AES background I also have experience applying exercise interventions (in particular Pilates) to help clients achieve their goals! This time as a practitioner has also led to the co-founding of the Active Education Program. This program offers Pilates based professional development to allied health professionals.
