Ultimate Day tripper for the win, I ran a mustang on my Honda Valkyrie and while it is more comfortable than the factory at 6’6” tall 36” inseam it wasn’t right. When I bought my Victory Cross Country Tour I went with an ultimate Day tripper and it was night and day better. I sent my measurements and received a seat custom made for me. It made 300 mile days in the saddle not only doable but comfortable
Thanks for the review on the Mustang seat. I love the looks of the stock seat, but can see where there is no real flexibility as to where your butt is positioned since the back of the seat is a definate. I can see you may be able to go further back in the Mustang seat. I am shocked at the issue though, since many people have a taller inseam than 30" so it must be worse on them, so sounds like an oversight on the design by Indian. Glad your first try at a new seat was a winner. As always, thanks for the interesting video....keep them coming. 🙂
So Indian does make what they call an "extended reach" seat. It looks the same.. but pushes you back further. But the seat just didn't feel comfortable even putting the position aside.. so it didn't make sense for me to get that seat. But I did get luck on the first try with the Mustang. Thx for watching. :)
@@randomstuffwithjoe Hopefully Indian gives the buyer of the bike the option of what seat they want at no additional charge (but as you said, the comfort wasn't there anyway, so the optional Mustang seat made sense.)

I’ve never tried the Ultimate seats but I’ve read good things about them. I’m happy with the Mustang tho. Thx for watching.

The Harleys only have one bolt at the back of the seat. I guess Mustang did not think Indian needed more than one bolt.
At first I thought it was a little shifty, but the seat stays in place with no problem. It’s pretty comfortable too.
