Hey Chaps! Did the winner suprise you?? (also - sorry for reupload, i'd mistakenly written Tensor G2 for the Pixel)
Yo is the magic 6 pro a Chinese version because mine is global and I get 13 hours plus in my experience
Please sir give me a Samsung galaxy S24 ultra 😍
I am considering OnePlus 12R for my purchase. Surprised to see OnePlus 12 performed as good as iPhone 15 PRO MAX or even slightly better.
Brother the OnePlus 12 is updated to the latest firmware in this video???
You need to put oneplus 12 on performance mode.
not really sure why, but i really enjoy these battery test videos
Glad you liked it!
@@Thetechchap are you adjusted the brightness of each phone before the computition is their brightness is maximum?
@@BRUKSIRAJ yes he calibrated them to the same level at the beginning
I'm also much more excited about battery tests than performance tests

I expected honor to win, but Vivio surprised me.
It's because honor hasn't learned the usage yet my magic 5 pro increased by around 2 hours I also have the magic 6 pro and it's really good maybe this 8s also a Chinese version not original
@@Avner-sj2kyhonor is Chinese company??
Yes, it is. But that one who's in video, is global version @@phen1811

S24 ultra performed quite well I did not expect that
Seems like it got better from the latest update, iphone did beat it a month ago in many tests. But then again, iphone is the oldest one. And smallest battery.
It depends on the update
Just wait a couple of updates and it barely makr it through the day.
You did, it's a 1k phone, if it did not perform well then it's a waste of money
Yes with the latest update gpu npu cpu got efficient @@vikinnorway6725
Glad you include a wide variety of phones and not only the typical ones
We can see the excellent power efficiency of the new Dimensity 9300 and it is a lot better then Snapdragon 8gen3 in both GPU and CPU performance and power efficiency. This is clearly explained by Geekerwan as 4+4 config is better than qualcomm's 1+5+2 config. You can always run lower clock speed on Bigger Cores while having the same or better performance of the smaller core at high clock speed.
Lower Clock Speed = lower power consumption. Mediatek designed this Dimensity 9300 chip so good it successfully outperformed Snapdragon 8gen3.
Mediatek is very good last 3 years, is not the first time winning against SD.
But, I don´t like it on my phone for just one reason. The Optimizations for SO, Apps, Games are so far away from SD, Custom ROMs if you phone getting old, etc.
Is like the GPU of Intel "ARC" are beasts, best performance in number against price but the performace is soooo random. We need time to get Mediatek on the real fight and that takes a lot of time, like AMD vs Intel. Almost 20 years to beat it in some scenarios (Domestic CPUs)
Only if we see a phone that can properly utilise its performance. The x100pro is a camera focused phone so the cooling won't be as good however the china version of the iqoo Neo 9 pro with d9300 destroyed everyone in antutu, geekbench and 3D mark
@@xdyt2007 if you put dimensity 9300 in an active cooling system, it surprisingly performs much efficient than the SD 8 gen 3 Performing Faster while using significantly lower power consumption. Manufacturers have different tuning depending on its cooling system and battery. When speaking about RAW performance of the chip, Dimensity 9300 is marginally better than the Snapdragon 8 gen 3.
@@daiduo6143 yeah fr mtk is starting to take down Snapdragon and it might be able to even compete with the a18 in the iPhone 16 pro when that comes out
Why are you praising the Mediatek? Those phones have like 10% more battery capacity than the S24 and it overheats..
I love the battery drain test all the time ! thank you 🎉
great comparaison, you need to do a battle between the most endurant phones for instance Vivo x100 pro vs ZenFone 9 ...etc
Great work as always! This is in line with reality I think. I have Oneplus 12 and it's really good and the charging is even better. Ideally charging time also would be in consideration in these tests but I understand that it would require extreme work 😊
One plus 12 is good for use bro because i am confuse in iphone 14plus and onepluus 12 what is the best ever
No solo la carga, también hay q contar el cargador en la caja.
Considering the price, the OnePlus 12 is incredible, with one of the best batteries, plus a fast charge almost twice as fast as the S24 Ultra. I was just on a trip to Niagara Falls for the solar eclipse and my OnePlus 12 held up great. The camera app did crash a few times when I was taking a ton of pictures, but so far I haven't had that bight me in the rear.
I just bought a Vivo X100 Pro a few weeks ago for its camera. Thank you for confirming that I made the right choice.
Is battery that much good? because there are some new reports that say battery drain really fast in 5 hours
@@hosseinghadjari1496 Looking at my Settings > Battery, it says battery usage since last full charge: 13 hours 39 minutes (Right now, the battery's at 1%); screen time: 10 hours 8 minutes. The battery would probably last only 5 hours if those people switched on WiFi, data, and bluetooth simultaneously and left the screen at max brightness all day. I spent the last 24 hours indoors with the screen at minimum brightness. Also gamed with maximum graphic settings.

Incredible work with that Mediatek chip. It's a beefy 4 X4 and 4 A720 setup so I'm surprised it lasted that long.
Things to test for:
Increasing the brightness to around 800 - 1000nits (outdoor usage). This helps detect the screens with lower power consumption.
Test only using mobile Data.
To check out the modem power usage (although this test is just too complicated because many could say it should involve having not the best connection which consumes more power, although this could be reached with some diy stuff to decrease connection)
Those are just ideas, i very much liked your video (except i didn't like the front picture because it made it look way worse for the pixel than ot actually was)
Just love your dedication to do these kinda videos... Cheers
Hello? Please I need to know if you're still in Mumbai. I left my bassport in New Delhi
Hello?
Nice test.
For someone that doesn't take pictures often, those huge round cameras on the back are deal breakers for me. They look absolutely ridiculous. 😂
Tom loved the comparison. For the low scores on OnePlus and oppo phones. I suggest you to change the performance mode. In color os. It has a high performance mode also
That was a great work. Try to do a charging test as well, we want to see which one charges the fastest without getting too much hot.
OnePlus and Vivo 🎉⚡
Amazing battery drain test as always brother
I don't think any of them loose, getting more than 9 hours of screen on time is wild and it's very good to see this kind of battery lives

Great video, I would like to see you do so the same video woth the phones using mobile data and lests see who the real battery champ is after that
I guess the Samsung. It's modem is the best of them I think. Qualcomm..
Love the test but as you state yourself. On 5G the result will be different especially for Tensor with the bad exynos modem. I mean it lost on WiFi already but on 5g game over comes a lot sooner
...it really is surprising that Vivo/ Mediatek got this... Was rather expecting iPhone/ Honor/ OnePlus (with Samsung/ Asus close behind)... still a great test, nicely presented!
Part of that was because of the large battery.
@@MisterNotSpanish20% better battery life, not even. 10% bigger battery.
Maybe I am just nitpicking, but do you always start and stop new sessions from the same direction through the devices? I mean, do you always start from the left device? From the video it was not clear, sometimes you looked like starting from right sometimes from left, means some devices can start a session first and be stopped last, means not every device had the same running time in each session. I hope it does make sense, what I try to say here. Good video btw great effort, thanks.
I recently purchased the HONOR Magic 5 and was surprised at how fast and smoothly it works, how long it keeps the battery charge and how good its screen is. I'm comparing it with my iPhone 14 Pro. I am waiting for the arrival of Magic OS 8)
The only disadvantages are the weak speakers and the camera.
Thank you so much for the is Review,, 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great content ❤
You gotta appreciate the time and effort it takes to put up a review like this. Well done!
I have been waiting for this
Hello, xiaomi (this and other models) have a problem with overheating, what do you know?
You should now do a battery charging test for all these same phones!
I got the vivo x100 pro like 3 months ago and i can confirm, most of the time i can make it through 2 full days easily. This is definetely a very good allrounder even in therms of performance and especially camera.
But Chinese model?
Chinese model or global one?
Hace 3 meses solo estaba el modelo chino, yo lo voy a comprar soy de Colombia vamos a ver qué pasa
Hey thanks for that was interesting OnePlus 12 did really well but I would have thought it was going to be the top one or two so I was surprised that it went out number 4 best like you said all those phones except for maybe the pixel 8 pro will last you a full day
I guess it would be honor
I saw a video it shows 17% advantage to sd8gn3 over exynos in s24 ultra
S24 Ultra uses snapdragon.
Impressive test! And also impressive is the fact that the Mediatek chip clearly wins on power efficiency compared to the others.
I ran the same 3dmark extreme wildlife benchmark test on my Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the phone did not overheat with the phone set to "balanced" mode.

Interesting test really, truly surprises me 😮
I am still a great believer in conditioning my battery when I get a new phone, always run it down and charge it to a 100% from the same mains charger for the first month. I'm probably just being old fashioned but it seems to work.
Love this kind of video❤
Mediated 9300 is insanely has a good battery efficiency
I've got an Oppo X7 Ultra and I plug it in once in two days. If I use it very hard it provides up to 9 hours of screen on time and always survives until the late evening.
Did you update iphone? Or the battery is new
Thanks this help alot
Super helpful video🎉
Can you do a battery life test for phones that are one or two Android versions past what they launched on. I think that although they do the Android update the phone becomes so unoptimised that it almost forces an upgrade through effectively planned obsolescence. My Oppo Find X5 pro is down to Battery saver by lunchtime since Android 14.
Bei mir steht in der check App bei xiaomi 14 ultra 5300mhA? Is das ein Bug in der app? EU Version?
VIVO X100 Pro uses the latest battery technology from collaboration with a battery company called Ningde New Energy.
- Self-developed battery with super large capacity released by Vivo & increased durability
Battery energy density will be improved, mobile phones will be thinner and lighter, or battery capacity will be larger
- This battery provides a balance between energy density and fast charging, improving lithium-ion transmission efficiency, and will debut in the vivo X100 series phones.
but what puts me off buyung is what are vivo etc like for updates, im on march 2024 security patch on my s24 ultra
Company you named doesn't have any patents on Li-Ion batteries.

Yes. I have feedback.
Please use a lux meter in between the test to look fro brightness throttling.
Also if you could explain what is the use of checking the temperature.
lol
Come on, temperature is self explanatory. Shows how well the cooling system does, and the higher the temperature the worse the battery drain and degradation over time.

Traveling is different because it uses way more mobile data
I want to buy the timer phone.
what is it?
Thank you, I tried Honor Magic 6 Pro
Would have been nice to see an standby period of like 16h in between.
From this i understood that all the phones performed very well and satisfying and i believe pxel should work on their chipset and i also believe that if iphone decides to increase their battery limit to 5000 or plus it would win the battle among them all.Apart from that honor being a killer from no one is awesome and proves that it might take a big fight on the market in future
I find this ranking very strange. I have seen others with different conclusions. I am interested in the autonomy and autonomy comparison of Honor Magic 6 pro and vivo x100 pro. However, I have never seen a ranking of apps from each company. I would like to see what one house offers compared to another. I know that Honor does not have automatic adjustment in the image gallery, it does not have an audio recorder that transcribes, it has a video editor, an image editor (on the contrary, Samsung has both), an audio player (recent and very simple), a document reader (coming soon on m6pro exists) what do the other companies offer? What does vivo offer?
Great work! S24 Ultra is another level 🔥
OnePlus 12 4th supber I love it
High performance mode wasn't enabled.
Vivo X100 Pro is the best phone I've ever owned! My first vivo phone and I ain't going back. The camera is sick.

Does not having a quad hd screen make any difference in better performance?
You should group the phones by display resolution. Some still run on FHD and have an advantage
What screen brightness are them?
Incredible video with insane graphics 😊🩵🩵
That vivo are origin os or funtouch os ?
You are from UK right? Where is also Exynos variant is sold? So you should added Exynos S24+.
You did the test with high performance mode on for Honor Magic 6 pro, if you turn it off, it will last over 13 hours easily
I did a battery test on three devices and it was so hard i wonder how you do it. Then you said you had to restart woaahh 😮
Love you and your channel, but you gotta say 'although' a little bit less xD
It would be even more fantastic if you can list down the temperature of the whole test 👍 still great short video 👍
😅
Which model was the countdown phone?
can you make a video with the newest midrange phones like this?
It turns out that you need to enable "High performace mode" on the Oneplus to get the maximum performance & score, i saw it on another youtube video. Not sure about the oppo but probably the same case right there
A good test as usual, but in the benchmark test, try running the high performance on Oppo and OnePlus devices
This video shows his hardwork
Love from India Bruh ❤❤
Had the Vivo x100p global until, but in terms of usage I really doubt it's better then s24u, end up using back the s24u, no doubt the camera Vivo is better then s24u, but not on my daily use. The Vivo max last me a day or so, my s24u can last closing to 40 hrs haha.
what happened to honor? this should beat all as it's have a new type of battery, still ion but something that's better, maybe some updates and optimisations will do the trick or maybe that battery it's only in China available, i don't know
When reviewers get sponsored by Honor they get the creme de la creme Magic phones. I suspect the consumer versions may not be as consistent or as good as pre-selected reviewer samples. That is the case with the chip lottery. An A+ SD8G3 will be better than a C+. Luck of the draw.
@@andyH_England i also think about this, but i saw this on any product, reviews units are better then consumer products

I would like to see the same test but with more compact phones. These are bricks
All doubted the mediatek but it rises to the top
It still has worse modem
the mediatek 9300 throttles hard. u can see it in the wildlife extreme test. it's 7 fps vs 16 on the 8 gen 3. it might look benign but it's a massive difference. it shows that when u push the chip hard, it will throttle and lower the frame rates far more aggressively vs the snapdragon chip. that will ofcourse, allow the phone to last longer. also, if u didn't know, vivo x100 pro plus was reported to have severe throttling issues before and after it released. many people complained about this issue and vivo finally acknowledged it. look like they just made it so that the phone will downclock the 9300 aggressively anytime u put load on it.

Kudos to the Vivo team! 🎉
sir , after thanking you a lot for your efforts ,
i suggest leaving 1 hour on idle between every section of your tests which simulate daily usage . that's will give us the REAL battery performance .
Good idea
All phones have different screen resolutions, which means more battery consumption. and if we consider separately Oppo find and x 7 ultra and one plus 12 apparently could not cope with the temperature of the processor and could not properly cool it
Maybe the ASU’s rog phone 8 and Zenphone 11 ultra could win in dynamic mode? X mode should have a big negative impact on battery life.
😊😊 Super Happy as I am watching this in my VIVO X100 PRO 📲
And heating is good ?!
Some people said x100 pro isnt that battery efficient, as mtk doesnt have efficiency cores this time. Idk whom to believe.
efficiency cores can just be worse quality cores with lower clockspeed, because at peak Clockspeed, they would consume less energy than the main core at peak.
You could also just take more of the main cores and just clock them lower and get better efficiency than the so called "efficiency cores"
@@fa14bi-78 oh yes thats a better implementation. However the battery for me has been phenomenal on 9300. Except for the high drain while using camera especially video rec. I can always rely on the battery all day.
