    Titanium is more rigid while aluminum is more flexible. I don't understand why people think that titanium is gonna make the phone better at absorbing impact. It only makes it better when it has impacts on the edges, but not on the screen. If that impact doesn't affect the frame, well, it has to go through something else on the phone - like the screen.

      @rajkoradia7747 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +90

      Aluminium is so great at absorbing heat and impact . Titanium transfers more of the drop shock to the glass . Just because Titanium is expensive and cooler to say , people think it would be better.

      It's all marketing I guess. From a young age, people learn that Titanium is the "strongest" metal - without knowing the full context and nuisances of material science, and that sometimes the "weaker" material is actually more suitable and practical/gives better results.
      People also view things like Titanium as an expensive and "premium" material. All the marketing that it's "Space-Grade/Aerospace" Titanium, etc. Therefore, when both Apple and Samsung are charging $1.2K+ for their phones, and Apple implemented Titanium whereas Samsung still stuck with Aluminum for the S23 Ultra, Samsung looked bad and "cheap" in comparison, so it pressured them to implement it too

      @PrabhablyAGoodTH-camr Titanium isn't the strongest metal on earth. it's Tungsten many people doesn't know bout this it's just Titanium has a nice Ring to it clearly its weaker grade Titanium apple and Samsung uses not what we expect

      My 6.7 inch screen on an aluminium frame bent after 4 years of constant use of taking out of my sort of tight jeans pockets. So now the display does not fit perfectly and it pops out a bit and dust particles enters my selfie camera. A TPU soft case make aluminium frame redundant. Its a good move for people who use protection case

      It's not about rigidty, but the titanium feels more premium and much beautiful and less shining

      Aluminium absorb shocks and get deformed but titanium is hard and it won't absorb shocks, it'll pass those impact to glass and internal components as u can see clearly in the video. Nowadays smartphone brands are fooling everyone, they'll use new useless stuff and increase price of the phone.

      The sides are, just not the glass 😂

    • @nothughmahn
      @nothughmahn 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +209

      Because titanium is stronger than aluminum. All of that shock, instead of deforming the side, just goes to the glass. Aluminum is the best material for phones, and nothing one can say will disprove that. Overall, it was a very disappointing year from Samsung, not even including this drop test.

    black spot in the corner is the OLED panel bleeding, the purple line is a puncture point from the back/shorted connection in display. too many electrical shorts in the display (more lines seen is signs of life) made it fail and display all white. Samsung mounts their displays to a flat aluminum back with an adhesive/foam gasket, (tedious but satisfying to replace) which is likely the cause for better face down durability since the iPhone has a gap between the display and the internal components.

    This is what happens when you make glass more scratch resistant. It breaks easier. Congratulations on the comparison video! 👏👏👏👍 However, I would like to highlight that comparing iPhones - whether the 13, 14, 15, or 16 - with Samsung's S Ultra line is, in my opinion, inappropriate. The Samsung S Ultra line is on a superior level, with features that simply aren't available on iPhones. A fairer comparison would be between the iPhone Pro or Pro Max and the standard S models from Samsung, not with the S Ultra line.
    Technical Differentiators of the S Ultra Line:
    Samsung DeX: Only available in the S Ultra line, it allows the smartphone to be used as a desktop environment, something Apple does not offer.
    Reverse Charging: The Ultra line allows charging other devices, both wirelessly and via cable, a feature not available on iPhones.
    Cameras: The S Ultra line has five cameras, including a telephoto lens with up to 100x optical zoom. In contrast, iPhone Pro Max models have up to three cameras, with optical zoom limited to 30x.
    AI and Camera Software: The Ultra line features more advanced image processing, utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance photos in various lighting conditions, surpassing the iPhone camera system.
    Fair Comparison: If we analyze it technically, the ideal would be to compare the iPhone Pro or Pro Max with the standard or S Edge line from Samsung. For example:
    iPhone 13 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy S22: A balanced comparison, highlighting the cameras and performance of both devices.
    iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max: Apple had a tough year with the iPhone 14, and skipping this comparison might be wise due to the lack of significant innovations.
    iPhone 15 Pro Max vs. Galaxy S24 (when released): A comparison between the latest generation of flagships, focusing on performance and camera quality.
    iPhone 16 vs. Galaxy S25 (when released): When the iPhone 16 is launched, a fair comparison would be with Samsung's S25 line.
    Comparing any iPhone, even the Pro Max, with the S Ultra line simply does not make sense, as they are devices from different categories. The S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and the future S25 Ultra are in a league of their own, with more features and capabilities that iPhones cannot match.
    Therefore, for a fair comparison between iOS and Android devices, it would be correct to place iPhones side by side with Samsung's S line, while the S Ultra line should be viewed as a premium category, with characteristics that surpass any available iPhone.
    Do you agree?
    Regarding Instagram, as mentioned, did the partnership Samsung made with Insta only apply to the S24 line or also to previous lines like the S22? I have the S22 Ultra, and with the new update, I don't intend to switch anytime soon; it's the first in the series and continues to be a great cost-benefit.
