I fell in love with her when I saw her cry tears of happiness for her fellow co-stars from The Help when they won their awards. She's super sweet and genuine
I watch any movie with Jessica Chastain in it. Just watching her act feels like time well spent. And she’s such a wonderful human being too. God bless her!
It seems like assuming that she's (such) a wonderful human being is an easy way to kick poor people while they're down, because there are probably a lot of poor people that you would think are bad people (for example, you might think that the poor people with the same politics as you are fine, but also think that the poor people with different politics as you are bad people), in which case, those poor people would not only have to suffer through being poor, but also, simultaneously, socially, by people like you who would put them down way more than you would put Jessica Chastain down, even though she enjoys so much luxury over those poor people and, due to her wealth, arguably, metaphorically stole their hard-earned wages using capitalism as the vehicle for it. Sure, rich people can speak against capitalism as penance for being rich, but does that make them wonderful human beings? Let's take an average man with an average job. If he supports socialism, for example, you could say he is making up for coming from a privileged gender, but does that make him a wonderful human being, or does that just make him an average human being that's doing what he's supposed to do anyway? Are people really wonderful for just doing what they're supposed to do while they continue to enjoy large amounts of privilege? Is an average man with an average job wonderful for supporting socialism, or is he just doing what a privileged person is supposed to do, and is Jessica Chastain wonderful for the politics that she supports, or is she just doing what a privileged person is supposed to do anyway? Doing what you are supposed to do might keep you from being a bad person, but it doesn't seem to make you a wonderful one, especially when you are still someone who, on a daily basis, enjoys massive amounts of privilege that the system gives you over other people who are just as deserving of it but had bad luck and/or were treated unfairly.
Look up the movie 355. Chastain hyped it up as this all female tour-de-force. It had a budget of $75M, but only made $18M at the box office. At the end of the day, women don’t want to see women entertain them. That goes for comedy, movies, or sports. The only thing they’ll support are singers.
Don't worry, D Jack....Jessica is an "Angel at work". I have a feeling she's lived her whole life this way. She carries that "warrior spirit" for justice. It is such a blessing to know that there are people like her. She's quite an inspiration.
The look she gives the camera at the beginning when said she plays "strong women" because she doesn’t like that turn of phrase at all, since she considers every women strong.
Never would have suspected the strong friendship transpired off-screen too from The Help! EDIT: Excited to see how the 355 turns out...we gotta wait like 3 to 4 years for it!
Jessica is a lovely person, and radiates joy. So kind and fair of her to make sure Octavia got equal pay. It is very empowering to see women stick up for each other and join forces. Wonderful. A good actress too, luminous.
I love Jessica Chastain, however wen she talked about women’s right to vote and she worked on a film with Native Americans and she doesn’t realize that we were the last people to have the right to vote.
Liberals and their same old propaganda, gets tiresome. Woman were far more equal before Democrats came along and began to oppress us with Feminism and everything else they have put into place, under the the guise of helping us. Instead they have unbalanced society and created a mess that works for nobody but them. It's how the keep power. Except It's not working any more. Us people in the real world, who have to live with the mess, see right through the lies now. Toxic liberalism is going down. We can all, only be equal, if we have equal access to liberty and freedom. Not the tyranny of socialism.
Why is Hollywood so sjw now? Every movie has to have sjw propaganda in it. Most "white" people have no problem with women and minorities. But they make it feel so forced now. Like you have to have a strongwilled heroin in the movie, preferably in the lead. And we have to make sure we lace throughout the movie "people of color". If it makes sense to the story then thats all that should matter. But dont do it for the sake of diversity and feminism. Its like when you see obvious product placement in a movie. Its just annoying. Let me focus on the story and not on your sjw mission to not be "racist".
It's a good virtue signal, but would anybody have complained if she was paid more? She's a talented actress who's won multiple awards, received two academy award nominations while starring in multi award winning and multi academy award nominated movies. That, and many other factors determine how much power you have for negotiating pay, not race or gender.
The problem with Spencer is she demands and is an angry black racist women. When she shows up everybody goes into caution alert mode. She is awful to work with.
Sorry but I find that really hard to believe. Every interview I've seen Octavia in, she's been over the top lovely, kind and humble. Also, Jessica Chastain is a woman of high calibre and I doubt she would be such close friends with someone who was "an angry black racist woman" as you put it.

Can you send me the link?!
She’s sweet just like her sweet role as Celia Foote in the Help. I’m definitely gonna watch more of her movies now. She seems so kind.
@@rickiiicee501 that's a lot of award ceremonies though, maybr the top commentator is referring to the oscars?

@@Roccofan yeah we do ! Was there a good promo for that movie ?
what i like even more than her acting and her choice of roles is that she really puts her money where her mouth is
That woman is one of the best actresses of the day! She needs her first Oscar for playing Tammy Faye Bakker!
...and she got it !
Jessica Chastain very talented and a great human being!
A White person openly admitting that bigotry is alive & well. Wait for the backlash, Jessica.

My God she is gorgeous.
That was a well conducted interview. Covers a wide range of topics. Timing and transitions are exquisite.

And who is helping these women earn the same as their male counterparts?
Pretty sure all women are fighting for this. Still hasn’t happened, shows the injustice, right?
