- In this video I test out some freewell ND filters on the DJI Avata 2, can they be used to creat some cool motion blur effects? Let's fine out.

Yessss! I’ve been watching these videos in this field Andy, praying for that ‘X-Wing Death Star Trench’ moment. You delivered pal 👊🏻
Great demonstration! Perfect location for it with all the detail in the grass/crop.
I was thinking it looks very blurry, finally got my phone to switch up from 360p, no bloomin wonder. Very sharp once in high Res.
Perfectly explained mate! Great video 😊
Thanks matey!😁👍🏻
Good review and video Andy
Awesome video. Beautiful location
Top video Andy ,always use nd I use variable nd my lumix s5mk2 , and the motion blur in this is on point ❤
Shotguns blasting away in the background, great time to fly the drone around ! 😃😃
Great video, just picked up the freewell pack waiting for the sun to come back out 🌞
Haha yeah know what you mean!
I'm glad you got this drone. Great flying! I cannot wait to save up and get one. For now I'm with the mini 3 Pro. But, I will be saving this year
Thanks! The mini 3 pro is great, you can actually fly it with the goggles 2 and older motion controller in FPV mode but it won't sustain a crash 😁
Maybe I'm judgmental but looks worse to me. Don't like the lens flare from sun.
Had to be a smudge on the filter👀 it disappeared when he wiped the lense. A polarized filter would do better for glare👍🏾
this drone has some really impressive quality for the price of it im gonna get me one and fly it around in my area in texas i live in a area with alot of open land
nice video thank you! and ND filters are good for stopping damage/dust to camera lens etc I guess?
Great illustration of motion blur. I found the mini 4 pro freewell nd filters also have lens glare. I’ve just picked up the DJI brand nd filter to take a look if flare is still an issue.
Great video, great flying.
Thanks for putting in the work. 👍🏻
Cheers from Australia.
Thanks! Thats Interesting! Let us know if the DJI filters do have lens flare.
@@andykirby I haven't noticed any flares on my DJI filters so far.
Personally, I think the "Motion Blur" thing is a bit overrated. Everyone seems to think this is what the cool flyers all need to do... But , I kinda like to to look down at the details passing by sometimes. BTW, yes, I do have an Avata 2 and yes I do have Freewell ND filters.
Like all techniques they have their place. I think you are right in that it's better to be able to see the details when actually flying, having the blur in the goggles might not be desirable.
@@andykirby I’m personally also interested in looking at the details in the actual video that is presented to the viewer as well
I wonder if the official Dji filters suffer from lens flare as well.
Always best to take the white balance (WB) off auto and leave it ay 5,500K in afternoon sunshine. Otherwise you'll get shifts in the white balance during the flight as you move to and from the angle of the sun.
Good tip, thanks.
@@andykirby No worries Andy - your content is inspiring mate! I started flying in full manual with the Avata 2 (my first FPV drone) a few weeks ago and already doing split-S's and smooth combined turns. Long way to go but getting there!
Great video.
I like the sharp video that 4K60fps gives. Why would you want it blurred 😅?
What sort of range do you get from the Avata 2
Thanks, sometimes filmmakers want a bit of blur to give the effect of speed.😁
Is the flare at 6:40 repeating in your flights? Does it belong to Freewell brand, did you have chance to use DJI’s filters?
What bicycle is that? Brand and model
Great video - great choons too 🫡👊🏻👍🏻😁
What camera were you using to film your face? Very bizarre focus effect. Looks like you were standing in front of a green screen.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I think it's such a crisp image sometimes it can look fake. There's no AI processing or any of that rubbish AFAIK
Does reviewer's only review freewell nd filters or are they the only company sending them out to review ?
The only ones I have been sent so far are Freewell brand.
Nd filters r a waste
How far it go
