    Last year I was diagnosed with silent reflux. In looking back, I believe I have had low stomach acid for a while based on some medical conditions. Instead of taking prescriptions, I started taking plain Betaine HCL with meals. It was very helpful to mitigate the sore throat irritation and loss of a good speaking voice. After many months of dosing, I stopped taking the HCL and within a week I began to experience silent reflux again. I will be taking Betaine HCL from now on. It is fairly cheap and I have had no side effects. Interesting comment you made, Dr. Sung, about low stomach acid not breaking down proteins well and having more inflammation in the blood stream from amino acids. I wonder if high cholesterol could be connected with low stomach acid in some way?

      @vdubU18 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I had the problem with throat clearing for several years thinking it was some type of allergy. Then missed diagnosed by an ENT saying I had Gerd but really I had low stomach acid causing my problems. I imagine I will be taking HCL for a long time if not forever. Interesting question about the high cholesterol… I don’t think there’s a correlation I don’t get real concerned about high numbers. We are totally misled about what cholesterol really is and does. Try to research it. Dr. mercola would be a good place to start. We need cholesterol for a healthy brain.

      Were you not Absorbing proteins and fats? Did you have a loss of appetite?

    • @unclegeorge4629
      @unclegeorge4629 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@myyoutubechannel3161 I had no loss of appetite and don't know about my absorption of proteins at the time. I understand there is a causal relationship between protein digestion and strong stomach acid. Bile is needed to absorbed fats. A persistent sore throat / vocal chord change was my only indication. TH-cam videos is how I surmised my condition, not from an allopathic doctor. Now, I take a pill throughout the day as that seems to work best instead of only at mealtime. If I forget I notice my throat or my voice changing for the worst.

    Is this the true cause of Asthma and Sinuses? the sphincter not closing properly because of low stomach acids, so HCL going up into the throat, chest area, nose. Also could this be one of the cause of glue ear? Eustachi tubes become inflammed and body produces extra mucus to protect that area where ever HCL can reach and now the mucus can not drain.

      Hi dear, I have exactly the same conditions as you write since I am 8 years old until now I am 32 years old. And since last year I also have a nonstop belching. My symptoms really ruin my life quality, I can not do an office work because I can not sleep almost every day. Because I have difficulty breathing due to nasal and throat congestion. I have already see many doctors here from ENT specialist, pulmonologyst, gastrologyst, and allergi and autoinmune specialist, I also do a parasites detox but nothing works. Do you also have a similar condition to me? How do you cope with it?

    • @ps-ic8pm
      @ps-ic8pm 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You might want try Betaine HCL w/Pepsin and gentian bitters. The Betaine (sources from beets, hence the name) adjusts the PH and the Pepsin helps break down proteins. I also had silent GERD, all of which improved after my first few doses of the supplement. My GI dr's office has been of NO help, their answer to anything acid related is to take a PPI, which makes it all worse, including GERD because you need a low (acidic) PH for your lower esophageal sphincter to stay shut. Good luck.

    I was on PPIs for about 5 years. I'm off it now but am still trying to regain stomach acid. I have joint pain probably caused by an autoimmune response to parasitic infection. What should I do? My regular doctor says my blood work comes back as "nothing unusual". I live in a small town and don't have access to options in health care.What should I do>?

    So my doctor sometimes says I have IBS and he wants me to take an antacid twice a day for a while I’m wondering if that’s cutting down the acid in my stomach like you say because, I felt my belly was bloated at times also I get attacks of diverticulosis, and diverticulitis can this add to that low stomach acid that is ?

      @@RealZayComo Lotta bloating, the pain goes to the left side typical can’t touch that side. Sometimes a slight fever. They give you antibiotics and it goes away never had to go to the hospital. Trying to avoid surgery. I’ve been taking a lot of probiotics, watching what I eat it’s not just seeds, are used to eat a lot of vegetables, just eating too much and getting gas can cause it. But I read you shouldn’t take antacids with diverticulitis. Which my doctor didn’t agree with maybe he’s wrong

    Is dizziness or light headedness a symptom of low stomach acid?

    • @MacGuyver85
      @MacGuyver85 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Any symptom/disease can be; if you're not digesting your food your body doesn't have the resources to function normally, and that's even considering you eat a diet containing everything in the first place, which is very, very, very unlikely.

    Could low stomach acid be mistaken for gastroparesis ??
    I have no health issues like diabetes etc. I was put on PPIs for about 2.5 months and now I've been suddenly diagnosed with slow gastric emptying... I haven't felt the same since. I'm extremely bloated and constipated.
    I'm not currently taking any PPIs or any medications.

    I have been facing this issue for almost a year now and also dry mouth. I first thought it is from mouth so I got my teeth cleaned and the dentist assured me that it will cure the bad breath but it didn’t. I have gerd issues but that is normal from a while and i also think i have sinus because i usually have running nose when i get up and a kind of irritation in nose. At work I have to talk to many people and it kills my confidence when they rub their nose. I just forget what i was talking about and it is creating problems for me. I brush my teeth twice a day. Eat chewing gums entire day and keep my mouth hydrated by drinking water yet this shit isn't going away. until I meant Dr Emovon on TH-cam. May your days be full of good health, I'm so excited that am totally cure from bad breath halitosis disease, I never believe I will be cured but when I meet Dr Emovon on TH-cam channel he sends me a herbal medicine that cures my bad breathe halitosis completely…🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

    i have an bad intolerance to gluten belladonna and capiscum. is this because i have too weak stomache acid? i can eat rice and meat and greens tho

    • @MacGuyver85
      @MacGuyver85 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Gluten are poisonous to any human/mammal so "intolerance" is just showing the correct signs of the poisoning.
      White rice is ok.
      In general: plants are poisonous and the seeds are the most poisonous parts. So nuts, grains, legumes are all toxic to humans/mammals.
      There are of course rare exceptions like white rice, coconut.
      For other plant parts it depends; a large variety are safely edible when cooked properly.
