  • Today we’re presenting the ultimate showdown between green superfood powders: Athletic Greens and Organifi’s Green Juice. Both immensely popular and influential in the industry but the two are remarkably different on just about every front. Let’s take a look.

    * ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI NUTRITION
ATHLETIC GREENS has way more vitamins listed: 700 percent of your daily Vitamin C, a day’s worth of most B-vitamins and Vitamin K2, almost a day of Vitamin A and more than 300 percent of your Vitamin E. There aren’t a whole lot of minerals but you do get a day’s worth of zinc.
ORGANIFI just has three minerals listed: 11 percent of your daily iron, 3 percent of your calcium, 1 percent of your sodium. Athletic Greens is the clear winner for vitamins and minerals, here.
READ THE FULL REVIEW, GOOGLE: BARBEND + ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI
    * ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI INGREDIENTS
ATHLETIC GREENS has a whopping seventy-five ingredients that are split into four proprietary blends.
The “Alkaline, nutrient-dense, raw superfood complex” has a variety of standard greens ingredients (like wheatgrass and chlorella) and fruits and vegetables as well (like goji and beet root). There are also other plants known for their antioxidants like green tea leaf extract and cocoa bean polyphenol extract.
The rest of the ingredients are mostly adaptogens (like astragalus and reishi mushroom), digestive enzymes, and probiotic bacteria.
ORGANIFI has fewer ingredients, though that’s not necessarily a bad thing: a greens blend that’s mostly wheatgrass, spirulina, and green tea (like the similar blend in Athletic Greens) and a “Super Food Proprietary Blend” that has coconut water powder, ashwagandha root extract, beet root, and turmeric.
WATCH OUR ATHLETIC GREENS REVIEW: • Athletic Greens Ultima...
    * ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI BENEFITS
ATHLETIC GREENS appears to have more adaptogens, which may help the body handle stress, but many seem dosed pretty low. Reishi mushroom, for instance, is usually dosed at 1 gram but in this product it’s just one ingredient among several a blend of 233 milligrams.
But it seems likely that it provides antioxidants and it does a much better job of focusing on digestive health, with probiotic bacteria, prebiotic fiber, and digestive enzymes.
ORGANIFI also seems to deliver antioxidants, but neither product actually quantifies them.
I’m more confident that it contains a good hit of adaptogens, as the standard dose of ashwagandha starts at 300mg and here it’s the second ingredient in a 1.45-gram blend.
The other ingredients are a little questionable. For instance, Organifi says it included coconut for the potassium but there’s no potassium on the label.
In any case Organifi seems a decent source of antioxidants and adaptogens.
WATCH OUR ORGANIFI REVIEW: • Organifi Green Juice R...
    * ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI PRICE
ATHLETIC GREENS is about $3 - $3.50 per serving.
ORGANIFI is about $2 to $2.50 per serving.
Both products can be discounted if you subscribe to a monthly shipment.
    * ATHLETIC GREENS VS ORGANIFI TASTE
ATHLETIC GREENS tastes like vanilla, pineapple, and papaya.
ORGANIFI tastes like mint green tea.
    * VERDICT
Organifi seems like a better bet for adaptogens while Athletic Greens seems like a better way to improve digestive health and add a bunch of vitamins and minerals to your diet. Both appear to be sources of antioxidants but neither quantify their antioxidant content nor provide the exact weight of any of their ingredients.
All in all, they may appeal to different people with different goals!

I drink Organifi greenjuice daily. I got it mainly to reduce my stress/anxiety and get some good stuff in me because I have a poor appetite due to anxiety and stress and am a vegetarian. Idk about the nutritional part but I can say that my stress/anxiety hasn't been this low in 10 years. It works great for stress relief, love it.

It's sad as an African-American I have to drink all these manufactured green drinks to stay healthy, while in Africa you have tribes who just drink Moringa have more define facial features and seem to be in good health. You got people in the Amazons more healthy than the West. The West brought to other cultures unhealthy food that just makes you fat and sick.
When you think about it people in poorer spots of the world aside from famine and poverty have stronger immune systems that aren't obese and are more connected with each other.

Its because they eat cleaner in Africa. In American Culture, fast food chains are abundant. There's also more pesticides in the USA, Mosanto, etc. Diabetes is very prevalent in many African countries though, and even high blood pressure. Theres many healthy places you can go to in America, you just have to search . I love Soul food, but I only mess with it once in a while. I'll eat fast food on occassions. It's all about balance, and not over doing it.

So I am in college and I plan to start taking a super food green drink regime through the semester but I see one of the big downsides on Organifi green juice is the lack of enzymes for probiotic health. Would you suggest buying a separate probiotic supplement and adding it to the green juice routine or just buying the athletic greens drink? Is there any benefit to taking a supplement that just increases your digestive health than buying a all in one drink?

To be fair, when my digestive health is suffering I don’t deal well with stress. I think I might go for athletic greens just cause personally I think my digestive health could use more attention

Athletic Greens has a great nutrition Profile that is actually listed on the back of the package. Organifi and many other "green superfoods" have no vitamin and mineral panel listed. I find that a big red flag. Out of dozens of Green SF powders I have researched, I only found "Athletic Greens"", Green Vibrance", and "Advanced Multi Raw Superfoods" to list their nutritional profile and it be amazing. So they really are "superfoods". All the others leave one "in the dark". Including well known brands in on Amazon, Whole Foods, Sprouts and NG.

    • @Nic_ole_
      @Nic_ole_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

🤔 That was very hard to read. I believe you were asking why Green drinks are a bit on the pricey side and the answer is- because of the ingredients. It's like why are some colleges more expensive than others, you're obviously going to receive a higher level of education from Harvard over a state funded community college. Would you rather have a 50¢ apple that you know nothing about, or a $1.00 locally grown organic apple with a reputation for being delicious 😏

A little bit of an update, managed to find a green drink that is within my budget called "Green Vibrance" 15 day supply = $59.61CAD. Compared to $100 with shipping for organify and athletic greens. You can always save money if you do more research.

With the vitamins...I can understand why having something like 700% of your daily Vitamin C or B vitamins in these products. They are water soluble and your body will expel what it doesn't use in the urine. But is there any danger of toxicity to having 300% of a fat soluble vitamin like Vitamin E or 100% Vitamin K in one scoop? What about the other food you're eating during the day?
