+Darnell Tucker If you're planning on getting this game or if you did get this game then I would recommend getting the PS4 version because it has more monsters and the online multiplayer mode is a PS4 exclusive. Biollante and the 1993 version of Mechagodzilla had something to do with the online mode crashing. The best strategy to use for the 2014/2015 Godzilla video game is to use the tail whip and atomic breath attacks if you're playing as Godzilla. Another technique that works is to take your time wearing out the other monsters without taking a lot of heavy damage from their attacks. This is not the worst Godzilla game of all time. If people want an example of terrible Godzilla video games then they should check out the Godzilla games that the Angry Video Game Nerd reviewed several years ago.

Godzilla is destroying the generator. The generator is losing power. This reminds me of the old "Godzilla Generations" video game. This Godzilla video game wasn't designed as a standard Godzilla fighting game. It was made for hardcore Godzilla fans. The graphics aren't the best in the world but the graphics aren't as bad as people make it out to be. The slow movement of the kaiju is accurate to the Godzilla movies. If you're a huge Godzilla fan then this game would be worth picking up when it goes down to the 20 or 15 dollar range. If you don't care for the lack of an offline multiplayer mode and if you preferred "Godzilla: Save the Earth", "Godzilla Unleashed", and "Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee" over the "Godzilla Generations" video games then I wouldn't recommend this game.

Honestly, I think this is should be the way Godzilla games were supposed to be, not fighting game rip-offs. True, graphics could be better, and the plots could use a little tweek here and there, but overall, from looking at the videos, I think it's a nice game that I'd buy. It's not a perfect 10, but then again what Godzilla game has ever been at that? Lol.
+Darnell Tucker Yeah. I grew up watching all of the old school Godzilla movies. I would either watch them on VHS tapes in the 1990's when I was a kid or I would watch them on the Sci-fi channel. I started to get my favorite Godzilla movies on DVD in the 2000's. "Son of Godzilla" and the 1984 Godzilla movie are the only Godzilla films that I haven't found yet. One of those movies is out of print and the other one isn't available due to licensing issues. If they got rid of the generators or only forced you to destroy a couple of generators in the game, if the game had an easier control system and a block button, and if this game had an offline multiplayer mode then it would have received a better reception from the gaming audience. There's never been a perfect Godzilla video game but judging by the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of the older Godzilla video games, there are far worse Godzilla games out there. This game is essentially on par with some of the earlier PS3 games in terms of graphics. When I go back and look at "Godzilla: Save the Earth" and "Godzilla Unleashed", those two games were strategy games as well since there were special challenges that you had to complete in the story mode in order to beat the game and you had to play through the story mode multiple times. If someone wanted to create the best Godzilla video game in history then they would need to include every monster that has ever appeared in the Godzilla movies, every move that each monster does, the game designers would have to include every arena that Godzilla has ever fought in, the player would need the option of choosing every type of Godzilla, and you would also need an offline multiplayer mode and an easy control scheme that comes with a block button. This game isn't for everyone but if you can tolerate the generators, the controls, and the lack of an offline multiplayer mode then I would recommend this game when it goes down in price. I was trying to give an unbiased opinion about this video game because just saying that it sucks isn't really going to mean much to anyone. If you pound the same attack buttons over and over again and if you constantly upgrade your monsters and unlock all of their special attacks then you might be able to master this game. The new Godzilla game wasn't made to be played with for hours on end. It was made to be played for just an hour or two. This new Godzilla game is all about patience and if you take your time and slowly play through it without getting frustrated then you'll be content with the video game.

+sara hatcher Dang. That was my response to this game when they didn't include the offline multiplayer mode. You can use the online mode in this game but it costs 20 dollars and the online mode tends to crash when people use it. The PS4 version of this game is a slight improvement since it at least has more monsters that you can unlock.
+sara hatcher To make matters worse, even if you had friends who owned this game and even if they bought the online multiplayer mode, you still wouldn't be able to play against them because the online multiplayer mode picks your opponents at random. It's also worth noting that if you play the online multiplayer mode then you'll likely be competing against someone who has far more experience points than you do so you'll likely lose the match each time. If that wasn't bad enough, it's not uncommon for other players to gang up on you which makes your chances of winning in the multiplayer mode even lower. The new Godzilla game alone costs 60 dollars and the multiplayer mode costs 20 dollars. The game itself has enough flaws as it is and the online multiplayer mode is just a mess so it wouldn't be worth the money. This video game wasn't made for me since I preferred "Godzilla: Save the Earth" and the Wii version of "Godzilla Unleashed". If someone created an updated version of those two games then the next Godzilla video game would likely be a major success.

I absolutely love how people are calling this game crap simply because the graphics don't meet their unreasonably high standards. I, for one, want this game more than anything. If I were to get a PS4, it would be just for this game (and possibly the remaster of God of War III). I've played Unleashed on the PS2, and it made me FEEL like a kaiju. This takes that game and amps it up. Besides, you can put as much spit and polish into a game's visuals to make it look amazing, but if the gameplay is dull and boring, it ain't worth my time. Shall I remind you of The Order: 1886?
+FrankenHeavy i dunno, the gameplay on this looks boring, all he does is blow up tower after tower and fight a few enemies. Plus there's no other perspective or viewpoints of how massive godzilla is. That would help immensely.

FrankenHeavy I agree, like let's be honest, if u watched the 2014 Godzilla, then Godzilla vs king ghidora (I dont know if I spelled that out right) u could easily tell the special effects difference between them, so in my mind it would fit like this in any Godzilla game, not everything has to look like it's in real life, it matters in a good story, and good gameplay

It's a shame that the game didn't come with an instruction manual inside the game case because that would have addressed your problem. Did you destroy most of the city? I believe you have to stand still at certain points in the game to collect specific data nodes for the game too. Did you pay full price for this game or did you get it for less than 60 dollars? I've heard that constantly running through invade/ go ashore in God of Destruction mode is the easiest way to get energy if you're playing as an Earth defender.

I may have watched about every Godzilla that toho has ever made, but I've always wondered if when Godzilla comes on land is it to mostly feed on radiation from the nuclear power plants? Or is it half of the time exploring the land?

From what I read, the G-Force units increase in number thus raising the difficulty but also increases the reward in experience points to really make Godzilla stronger.
