The wobbly protective membrane that the people touch in GxK is made up of Mothra’s web. And Godzilla wasn’t made Thermonuclear because of Mothra, but because of the nuke Serizawa used on him, which made him full of radiation and heat. And Mothra saved him and healed him because he would have died because of immense pain and heat, so that is why she died, to put her healing powers on him. She was confused because there weren't people singing to her, and she was angered when the containment field killed the insects that were drawn to her. Both are true. Little known fact gamera and mothra are not from the same universe. Mothra was made by the same writer that made Godzilla Ghidorah and Rodan. Gamera was made by a completely different studio and while there are a few crossovers with Ghidorah and Godzilla they're not actually owned by the same studio. So mothra and Ghidorah both hold the same title in different franchises. Interestingly Kong was not part of the Godzilla universe originally either. It wasn't until the crossover Godzilla versus Kong a long time ago that they started blending but that one got so incredibly popular that the studio that owns Godzilla bought the rights to Kong.
