i like how in this game, you defeat bosses not by depleting their health to zero, but by beating them up until u get enough rage to defeat them in an amazing cutscene.
I like that a lot. Because he still says things the player doesn't know. He still gives you exposition. But you can straight up skip the exposition. Or listen to it. Players choice.
The fact that the game himself let you shut him up saying literally "Shut X up" with a hard punch is a nice mechanic and a fit just perfectly with the character mind set.

It still pisses me off everytime I think about how the game was originally(premiere trailer) before they changed it due to how much gore there was. If you all haven’t seen it, look it up. Asura could do so much more to what he already does combat wise. He could pick enemies up, slam them together or rip them apart. Pick up a pillar and use it like a bat etc. Basically more Hulk like mixed with God of War style. As legendary as this game is, that version could’ve made it one of the best games ever. Truly an opportunity missed.

What Asura's Wrath really nailed that I feel like no other game since has managed to replicate is how all the big QTEs for these cinematic fights match the input with what the character is doing! And it just keeps getting better at it the more complicated the battles get. Like, even during this early fight, the game tells you to press the right stick down: Asura plants his right foot firmly upon the earth, the game tells you to press left stick down: Asura plants his left foot as well to brace himself for the descending attack, the game tells you to spread both sticks apart: Asura opens all his arms wide and challenges Wyzen's attack, the game tells you to press both sticks upward: Asura catches Wyzen's colossal finger, the game tells you to mash Circle: Asura gets back up, the game tells you to press both sticks up again: Asura manages to press Wyzen back, the game tells you to just keep mashing Circle nonstop: Asura pummels Wyzen's finger and just keeps pummeling even as his arms shatter, the game tells you to curl the left stick: Asura clenches his last remaining fist with determination, the game tells you to activate your super and then perfectly time a Triangle press: Asura pours every ounce of his rage into an earth shattering strike. It's just so kino, and it's the least exciting of the major boss battles!

I just wanna talk about how perfectly timed the angle change was at 15:12, as soon as zooms out of Asura with his fist raised against the finger, the tenor comes in with that beautiful note. It really feels like it’s from an anime.
Complete coincidence btw. The music was never meant to play at that shot. It's only because the guy playing progressed through the QTEs that that part of the music matched with the cutscene.
I love the obviously world ending attacks that this game has. It reminds me of Xenogears where one of your attacks literally blows up the entire planet but after the animation the boss only takes like 25% health damage and the planet is fine lol
Dude more games need stuff like this, incredible celestial objects you can actually fight defeat, the fact that a six armed man was strong enough to throw a being that big and heavy by just pushing up on his fist, you know, ridiculous stuff like that. I think if done correctly it can really bring magic to a game, I love it!

Just leaving this here: Yes you can. You have to look up a guide for you to run it properly because you have to mess with some settings in the emulator and get the patch but after that, you can easily run the game at 4k 60fps with the proper specs(just beware of the button mashing parts. It is WAY harder to do with 60fps)

Just leaving this here: Yes you can. You have to look up a guide for you to run it properly because you have to mess with some settings in the emulator and get the patch but after that, you can easily run the game at 4k 60fps with the proper specs(just beware of the button mashing parts. It is WAY harder to do with 60fps)
