- We're back at our country home, and Johnny is still with us. There are so many berries getting ripe, so it's very nice that he lent us a hand in picking and also eating the fruits of our labor. But that's not all because Peter also asked Johnny for his help in the kitchen. Yum!

Yesterday after dinner I retired to the bed and watched five of your videos in a row. I get to do this on occasion and wanted to say that it is such a nice way to spend an evening. I just enjoy your company even when just through TH-cam. I was hoping for another video and this one came through today which made me pleased. I like the addition of Johnny in your latest series as he seems very nice, gentle and compatible. San Diego is not that far away as I am in Palm Springs and go to SD every six weeks. I think that I like where he is now much more than both SD and PS.

The quiche /Flan looked amazing. Tommy hit the nail by saying so professional.. The acholic drink looked interesting from a caterers perspective.. Completely clear!! Well, the quiche is originally from France (the recipe is from Johnny's French brother in law) but just slightly adjusted to some Czech ingredients 😁

Europe is an amazing place !! so many Americans are retiring to Europe. I have Friends in Athens Greece, I meet threw a NANA MOUSKOURI fan page (she is a singer) and love to travel around europe as well. Greece in sept 2023 and eastern europe trip 2024, czech republic is part of that trip. Johnny enjoy your time there !! watching you here in Pennsylvania USA. enjoy the summer Boys !!
Greece in September sounds wonderful! Hopefully you'll get nice weather, and there should be less tourists than during the summer. You'll find Eastern Europe so cheap, just like Johnny did 😃
@@tommyandpeter , I try to go to greece every summer september/october I just love it there. the people, music, food. last year I was there October was warm, I was swimming, now its like 100 degree every day , hoping its not too hot come september. I agree eastern Europe is cheap, well most places are compared to the USA, looking forward to going and seeing so many great places.

Yes, they spread on their own, not just from seeds but also from the shoots (long stems) it creates which take roots in the surroundings 😊
As a kid my grandmother served kohlrabi but I detested it. Never tried it since then. It’s been drought like here in upper Midwest u.s. Have only mowed the lawn twice this year. Looks like you have enough for a happy garden.
My mom used to serve us kohlrabi as well, but I remember liking it. Tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and kohlrabi were all very common. Now we're growing all of them ourselves 😊 We had a very wet spring, but the summer's been very dry, so we have to do a lot of watering now.
Johnny, you must know that I and Daniela have advised "those two funny guys" to confiscate your passport and never let you go again given your sympathy and great talent as a cook, and how can you blame him. "Beautiful" people like you are truly precious and much loved, they don't just love the world, they respect it because they are part of it. What about Tommy and Peter's garden, a paradise of first fruits, A hug to all three from R and D 😎😇
We should have "accidentally" used Johnny's passport to make a fire in the garden 😇 Oh well, maybe next time.

Don't know why, but I see a huge surge of people towards Johnny's insta lol. Talking about quiche I love kale quiche. I am distracted sorry have to much on my mind. Huge apocalyptic storm hited country yesterday in the afternoon, 4 dead people so far. My cottage lost its roof and windows, a lot of trees is destroyed with roots or split in half.
So I with neighbours whole day yesterday was doing damage control, we all went to each others and we're doing house by house, yard by yard, so many green houses, vegetables, fruits is gone. I went this morning back to city to check my apartment, whole building lost outside AC units and rolling shades, some lost windows coz AC units smashed into them.. but apartment is ok although I lost chairs, tabel and all the plants from balcony, will try to salvage some and save them. Mum's house lost roof and 2 trees felt on house smashing windows and furniture inside. Sister and brother in law lost more than 70% of crops and some machines coz they were flooded too, but they have insurance. In my whole life I never saw storm like this, it was around 15h very hot and humid and in less than 30mins it was dark like it is night. There were even whirl winds here and in Zagreb, such never happens in land just at coast. In a city it was never recorded..
Sorry for the rant I am just In schock, watching your garden and thinking how in less than 30minutes my whole property was ruined completely....

Yes, we saw that, we were also looking at it at my work. It was a derecho with embedded supercels. The little symbols on the map are all the observed cases of severe weather - they are added the next day and you can see they quite nailed it. Level 3 warning doesn't happen that often.

@@tommyandpeter worst part is a fact that we have SMS warning system. Not single warning was sent, coz we have idiot%s in charge, one said it was orange warning, other said red, plus it was around time when everyone goes from work. They just said day before possible storm coming. Instead to say huge storm is coming with strong winds stay indoors. People were trapped in cars, public transportations, stations waiting for trams and buses. Not to mention idio%s every now and then issue red alarm, scream it will be apocalypse bla bla and nothing happens ever, now offcourse no one took it seriously coz first alarming system was not used, then today chief of civil protection says it was orange warning we do not send SMS for orange but it was red. Insane.
I mean no one cares for cars, buildings etc you can't prevent that, it will be fixed new one bhought, but 2 people died instantly in Zagreb while they should not if warning was issued 30 mins before, would go indoors, worker in crane, huge crane was inside the crane when it felt, severe injuries he suffered, if warning was sent he would exit it on time. Fire fighter died today coz of wounds he got last night. Man in Cernik stoped car coz he was not Abel to drive and was smashed by tree. Those things could be avoided but we have id%ots in charge with bhought diplomas who are on such high positions coz of nepotizm and corruption.. that what piss%s us all.. who cares about cars, roofs it will be fixed, people died for nothing coz we have morons...
I am so glad I grew up in Iceland and have insurance for everything I own against anything. I even pay extra to be sure if ever meteor hits and destroys something I will be payed lol...
I'm watching the video and as you say the images are apocaliptic. So sorry for the lives lost and for the property damages you suffered. Hopefully all of you can corageously face what you are having to live through.

@@tommyandpeter 2 or even 3 already passed' one was early in the morning, woke us up so we went thru apartment and unplugged everything, went back to sleep, around half 10 was another one with rain shower, now is sunny and humid and sun is so strong that actually everything dried and no evidence that it rained. Already hot as hell outside, I don hear anything (probably coz I am partially deaf lmao), but Miron says he can hear thunder in far distance.
At the this point I am so tired of everything that I decided I will spend day slacking around, sleep and spend whole day half naked coz it starts to be hot as hell, insurance money for everything I own and needs fixing should be payed off during next week coz I sent everything this morning and yesterday insurance guy was on terrain and officially made damage estimation. Problem is mum's house and she is having "brilliant'' idea to move into my apartment until she figures out what to do coz offcourse I was an idiot when I told her she should insurance her house, I don't wth is wrong when it comes to insurance with majority of Slavs when it comes to that, her response was how it is just money stealing and there is no need for that. At this point I am so tired of my family that I am rdy to pay myself for her house to be fixed during next week. Can't understand why on earth she needs to live in 1 floor house of almost 100m2 alone. Told her bunch of times to sell it, buy smaller flat. But noooo I am nuts, every time something needs fixing I have to do it or pay for fixing coz her pension can't handle that. My sister always have some excuse when she needs to contribute on any way. I don't have kids and my own family so I can afford it, that always an argument, but fact I actually raised 2 of her kids, payed for their universities, clothes and was primary guardian it does not matter. I am so sick and tired of them all..her own grown sons can't stand her and have minimum communication to her' that says all. I did not even went to my dad's place yet, knowing him he is drunk passed out while everything around him is flooded or half of house is missing...
Sorry for rant, I already choked Miron with it for last 2 days, honestly if he wasn't around I would sign up myself to mental hospital by now, coz those 3 will put me in an early grave...

Of course we remember. We planted the colorful balls, and I wore the swimsuit in our first video from Corfu in Greece 😉 Seems like there is no solution for the comments disappearing, it just sometimes happens.
