    Tommy and Peter, the knowledge that you have, the things that you have learned and continue to learn is amazing. I am learning so much from you. Being with you all of these years so much new information and most of all the beauty that your garden continues to look so more beautiful each year. It is a pleasure every year seeing the garden coming up in a new direction and more exciting. ♥️

    When you talked about eating spruce tips - something I had never heard of before - I immediately went out into my yard and had a bite myself! It was indeed citrusy and resiny, but not something I found particularly tasty. Still, thanks for the tip. I tried something today for the first time in my life! 😀

    Everything is looking good. I'm not sure how it works. But I guess different minerals and acids. Help to change the color of rodadenrans. Not sure I spelled it right. The big white flower bush you were talking about. Having some pink I'm it.

    Hi Tommy and Peter! Your property is so pretty! I love seeing all the different colors of flowers, shrubs and trees! We really need some rain in our area! Everything is so dry. Morel mushrooms are delicious! One of my favorite things to do when I was young was to go Morel mushroom hunting with my parents and siblings at my paternal grandparents farm. We would get so excited when we found some! The field of yellow is stunning! I would love to walk out into the middle of it and be surrounded by a sea of yellow beauty! It would be so peaceful! Thanks for the Vlog! Take care! Hugs!

    I’m worn out just watching the video. You both work hard to keep your land in order. I enjoy mushrooms cooked in butter and a little cream, served with chives and black pepper ‘en cruet’. Delicious. Your tulips reminded me of a trip to the keukenhof gardens in Holland. Acres of tulips beds and the whole place celebrates the Dutch royal family. Enjoy the week ahead, T&P. Best wishes from Ireland, Stefan. 🌷🌷🌷

    Guys, your garden looks amazing and I congratulate you for the hard work that is necessary to make it look that way ( despite the laziness confessed by Peter the First).
    The rooster, so cute, already forming part of the musicalization of your videos. It does its job perfectly. Always on time.
    Omg. That mushroom looks scary. I don't know if I would dare to eat it.
    The Johnny Jump up flowers here are known as tricolor violet, so beautiful and ethereal.
    Kiises guys. Until next time. Keep on going.

    Here is an easy recipe with fir buds.
    Fill a glass jar with fir buds -pack well to add more. Then add (a lot of) sugar to fill in the gaps. Expose to the sun for a few days so that the heat makes the sugar melt. Later take away the fir buds and you have an amazing syrup.

    • @tommyandpeter
      @tommyandpeter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Lestat. We read about it, there are interesting recipes out there. We prefer them fresh because there is no added sugar but it would be nice to taste the syrup one day 😊

    Howdy Guyz!! Did you remember to clean the under side of the mowing deck? That need to be done after each mowing. Also check the blades to make sure they are sharp. You should also check the spark plug annually to make sure it's not getting foulled. Big hugs from Ohio USA!! Morel mushrooms are best fried in butter!!

    • @tommyandpeter
      @tommyandpeter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Ken 😉 We forgot but you are right, the under side is getting quite dirty. We just need to figure out how to access it better, it's hard to get to it!

    • @swirlgalaxy
      @swirlgalaxy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tommyandpeter Howdy! You can tilt the mower up some & put blocks or large hunks of wood under the wheels so that you can reach under the mowing deck easier.

    The yard looks like the gardens at Buckingham Palace after you mow it. I have a great idea for you, ok? If you got a twink houseboy to mow the grass just imagine the extra time you’ll create for admiring the views. Everyone wins! 😃. I’m always looking out for you ❤❤

    Last year I found dozens of morels growing under my apple trees. Coincidentally this is where I spead out wood ash. I understand that morels are often found in areas that recently have had a forest fire there. My morels were not very tasty, to be honest :D.

    • @tommyandpeter
      @tommyandpeter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha, that is a shame that they weren't tasty. Oh well. None showed up here in our garden this year, sadly. No wildfires here either, so maybe that's why. But wildfires are not really a thing here, and such mushrooms generally still grow, so who knows 😁

    Take a stiff hand brush and brush the grass bag first from the outside then from the inside and that should open up the screening for better air flow.

    There is a poem by Edna St Vincent Millay, Portrait of a Neighbor. The last quatrain is:
    "Her lawn looks like a meadow, And if she mows the place, She leaves the clover standing And the Queen Anne's lace!
    You guys are not so extreme that you refuse to mow down the weeds because they are pretty. Still, somehow it fits the video.

    • @tommyandpeter
      @tommyandpeter  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's funny because I was mowing again the other day and I intentionally skipped over some clover to let it blossom 😃

    It could be titled "Paradise smells like freshly cut grass" We all know the smell of grass. Yet what an inner jolt is registered, warning him. And then what about the colors of the flowers, not to mention the song of the birds, but also the rooster that bids you good morning. In the beautiful video you can hear the "voice" of the rooster, are we wrong? A warm greeting. R and D 🐓🐓🐓🌲🌷🌷🌷🐜🐝🐝🐝

    youtube officaly is nuts , every 5mins adds, like 3 in a row, unabel to skip till second one is over, wth is going on. never had so much ads in one video that it was almost impossibel to watch it..
    i love your garden and whole property, btw that grass wich grows on a top of shrubs when you mulch it. i think iz is a agreesive weed not grass, wich grows from ''rotten'' grass piles.. coz if you look it it is wider and thicker than regular grass, like rotten and dead grass is fertilizer for it.. btw i learned the lesson about cleaning lawn mower on same way as you did, but it was much expiensier coz knife went off coz of too much dried grass and it was strugling to cut wich lead to engine droping dead.. when i told my mum she was like when was the last time you cleaned it, you need to clean it after mowing.. ...
    i was so pissed off and just said so why no one ever told me or teached me that... she was like well it is common knowledge urm, yeah someone needs to teach or share common knowledge to someone else.. and she went on and on how dad would never allow himself tgo get mower in that state, i said yeah but he allows to almost soficate in his own puke filled with booze.. she did not speak to me for almost 6 months coz i am once again under too much of dutch and west influence and become so rudeand arogant...
    why on earth i am even telling this.. anyway i almost spent 1000 euros to repair it when i realised it is way cheaper to buy new one... wich i clean regulary..
    i only like oyster mushrooms, i fry them, cook, on sandwich, with eggs.. any other mushroom tastes awfull to me...

      @tommyandpeter  ปีที่แล้ว

      TH-cam always plays by its own rules, sometimes there are no ads and sometimes milions of them 😀 We also need to clean the mower better so it doesn't break down. We learn things as we go, internet is our friend but also parents give us advice.

      @@tommyandpeter yah, especially among str8 males, from boomer generations, it is wired, almost every one in my family or any friend i know have at least 2 to 3 male functional alcholics, here kinda war added to it, after war number went to sky, offical one. it was so bad that generations of millineals born in late 70ties and 80ties have high aversion towards alchochol and drink only in special occasions and majority gets drunk, black out drunk only once in couple of years. as a kid i do remember that i never ever saw my father or grandfathers ( until they got really old like 70) drink water or juice, it was always beer, wine, rakija in their hands.
