    Topic- plastic
    Plastic is a non degradable substance which once generated remains in our ecosystem for a long time and if used for more than once, it gradually broke into a no. Of fine micro plastic particals which reaches our human body more easily
    How plastic reaches human body - food item or water in the plastic bottles if stays for a longer period can accumulate micro plastic particles plus if food is heated in a plastic container then also toxic from the plastic can reaches to the food and from there to our body
    Health hazards- itching, eyes watering, fever are some short term effect, if plastic keep on going to our body for longer duration it can lead to cancer
    What should be done- awareness among the people's about the negative effects of plastic. Some strict actions of the government for ban on single use plastic or used plastic imports. Incentives must be given to the industries if they reduce their plastic use. More money must be spend on R&D of new organic plastics so that in the long run they can be cost effective. More R&D on Use of plastic for energy generation, road making etc.
    A huge campaign funded by government, involving celebrities to reduce the use of plastic.
    Warnings on plastic containers as there are in tobacco packets.
    Conclusion - about 60% of the marine plastic waste is contributed by South Asia which through marine being return back to us. Plastic today is present everywhere around us so it will be impossible to ban plastic completely but what can be done is a behavioral change in long run of using plastic but only as the last option.

    Apart from points discussed i would like to add one more thing.
    Shopkeepers keep plastic bags bcz they get them at cheap rate as compared to cloth bags..it is necessary to cut down rates of cloth bags less than plastic ones so that they dont buy and sell their products in plastic bags to others.

    • @tahirfazal
      @tahirfazal 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      cool stuff why blame shopkeepers. It is more for the buyer to keep cloth bag with him. N sometime back it was introduced. HP is one state which has made this mandatory.

    • @ms.tanvi61
      @ms.tanvi61 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      M not blaming anyone.its just a step we can take towards..many a times it happens one goes for window shopping incase one likes something he buys that..in that case he will not search for a cloth bag around na...take for example big bazzaar they are also providing customers with poly bags.

    • @bhargavbvs3635
      @bhargavbvs3635 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think people will buy cloth until it's cost is less & then once the subsidised cloth bags go away, plastic will be back. Needs a behavioural change altogether in the people.

    many sides were poorly discussed in this episode.
    the main thing is the waste or sludge that remains after distillation which is converted to synthetic products cannot be safely stored. it may add up the cost of production of petroleum products like diesel and petrol.
    so the sooner we stop hydrocarbons usage the sooner plastics will have a safer death.

    The only way to tackel this meance is to provide a substitute or alternative on which we can bank upon.if one has a option to choose then definitely we will choose the product which is environment friendly and cost effective for a common man.the final point I would like to flag down here simply banning will not work it would have further repercussions which will bring hardship for the people.

    Since long everybody know that plastic in not good to health and environment, but still can't do any significant control, why? ....the core of the solution is to bring up one alternative first, banning to use in pubic will not be effective, until there is ban in production. Govt should invest on recycling, alternative biodegradable. Util there is stop in production, or providing an alternative, plastic will continue to be used.

    • @avinash1354
      @avinash1354 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      magnet khuraijam Why anyone will ban it if public is happily accepting plastic.We need to refuse plastic for making it economically unviable for its producers. That'why it is said,"Be the change which you wants to see in the world".

  • @mohdnadeem8366
    @mohdnadeem8366 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    according to me public awareness is the prime solution to this
    public should know the adverse effect of plastic so that they can implement it in there day to day life we cannot simply blame the goverment to this because ultimately we are responsible for this we are encouraging the plastic company to produce more plastic for over convinence
    lastly we should take example fromt the neighbouring countries how they tackling such kind of situation in there country

    • @aspirant8996
      @aspirant8996 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, and the more relevant question you should ask yourself should be that whether you could afford a copper water bottle. stop playing victim card, if you are aware of the hazards of plastic you should promote the alternatives rather than just crying like a 10 year old boy.
