Thanks for sharing. Looks very safe, but also way too timid as well. They need to give it a bit more balls. Also, I don't think it's fair to say it's hands free as most people are, as long as you don't wear sunglasses. That feels like a bandaid to me because everyone would prefer to drive with their sunglasses. So it's handsfree, as long as you want to drive and squint.
Thanks for watching! I think it will increase in its assertiveness before the next update. My understanding is the initial releases have some server side controls (not sure that’s the right term) that make it much more passive. As time goes on, they dial that back. Check out my latest video where i tackled that same initial left turn 5x in a row.
hahaha, that sentence is hilarious! After 5 years developing the truck you would have thought FSD would be delivered with it. Elon just tweeted getting FSD to the cybertruck is not on their priority list.
Q: what setting do you use: chill, hurry, etc.? Does that make a difference in assertiveness? I’d love to speak with you as I’m considering a purchase mainly to utilize FSD. V12 upgrades seem substantial. I appreciate all the time you have taken to document real life experience.
Thank you for watching! I’m so sorry for the delay in reply; TH-cam app is not great at sending me notifications. In my experience, three modes: chill, standard and assertive really only have an effect on follow distance. And, at least at this time, it’s not very noticeable. I definitely recommend trying FSD for at least a month (though I recommend waiting another couple weeks). It’s so great Tesla offers a subscription option. V12 has definitely catapulted FSD to the next level and I have found that I use it more than manual driving. And when I’ve gotten in Teslas without it, it desperately miss it.
I just learned this.. if you want to choose a different route while you are on FSD, tap on the first direction panel and you can select alternative routes.
Thanks for watching! Braking for yellows is a bit much, but otherwise, I think it’s fine. I don’t have complaints about any of the other items you mentioned.
A very easy drive for a human, but FSD has issues: 4:15 Tesla has fast acceleration, but cannot make a simple Left turn 14:30 FSD does not slow when crossing railroad tracks After 4 years in development, 8 cameras, AI and Neural Nets, there are still problems on a short simple drive.
I personally liked 12.3.6 better. 12.4.3 has major speed issues in my city. Waaaaay too slow. I was actually enjoying the previous version. This one.... not so much.
Having seen quite a few FSD (Supervised) v12.4.3 test runs on TH-cam with various Tesla vehicles since last weekend, I can tell this latest version isn't doing all that much difference from the way my 2024 MYP operates under FSD (Supervised) v12.3.6 installed since May 6, 2024. Think Tesla has laid off way too many topnotch FSD developmental engineers that took with them their FSD secret sauce; btw we refer to it as black magic in integrated-circuit manufacturing! Oh, the remaining ones have to actively jumping ship!!
Everyone has their own experiences and nuances with their city. 12.3.6 was very good, but has predictable issues. These are mostly solved for me in 12.4.3. I also think there may be experiential differences from Hw3 and Hw4 owners. I’m on hw3.

Two different major cities with similar near-miss problem!
@@nowteslafy My MYP has gone directly to 12.5 from 12.3.6 the day before yesterday, but I rather not be caught without sunglasses on a bright sunny day just to achieve hand-free FSD operation; awaiting FSD v12.5.x improvements. This clip th-cam.com/video/l87gU_pGP5U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t1R5WUtOPbk5tedf is my first drive in the dark with FSD v12.5 (version number visible on the display) installed. The day before, FSD v12.5 did a stormy drive th-cam.com/video/jCT8NVfyOQA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=11YpHvkvzXm0P8aV in the evening all hand-free without sunglasses. Along the way, 12.5 hesitated at one intersection with flashing red light in the storm. All things considered, I think my MYP did reasonably well.
'nearly flawless' but still about as a good as a 16 year old on their first or second road driving lesson. I'll stick with driving myself in my '24 Model Y. Heck, I like to drive it myself.
Mine is a 2024 MYP with the included FSD package (free transfer from my 23 M3P bought used when Tesla was giving them away last November) to free me up from routine driving. Just like y'all, I love to drive too.. here's an example th-cam.com/video/D_45EO5BauU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fg3yLJTcM2CYQOgH of what my MYP can do for me when driving for fun! Note: we were at speed of 36mph all in entering, during and exiting a sharp left turn, followed by an immediate curve to the right, when urgently clearing an intersection safely under an unexpected yellow.
Check out my follow up video on that left turn that caused the only intervention!

Thanks! I’m aware of this; but slipped my mind to try that in the moment. And even then, sometimes doesn’t show the route you really want.
Thank you for this!
so i noticed 3 things , one it slows and accelerates to quickly two lane changing should be more smoothly , it jumps into the lanes.

@@nowteslafy We should!
Nearly Flawless. In other words, FSD is still not worthy of trust.
"Close, but no cigar"
"A miss is as good as a mile"
What are you using to hold the uniden R7?
It’s a magnetic mount I got on Amazon- I have details and a link in the description of my video here:
