  • Welcome back to the channel, fellow car enthusiasts! 🚗💨
In today's video, I bid farewell to my beloved 2009 997.2 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Yes, you heard it right! After only 3 months of ownership, I have made the decision to part ways with this beauty.
While I was undoubtedly enamoured with the performance and allure of this Porsche, a few things arose during my brief stint of ownership that ultimately prompted me to sell.
In this video, I take you on a final drive in the 997.2 C4S and detail exactly why I'm saying goodbye. From the breathtaking performance and handling that is quintessential of Porsche, to the intricacies of maintenance and insurance, and not forgetting the unexpected factors that surprised me along the way - this is a candid discussion about the realities of owning a supercar.
Whether you're a Porsche enthusiast, a potential 997.2 owner, or just a fan of car ownership stories, I believe this video will provide some insightful takeaways. It's not every day that you hear about someone selling their dream car after only three months!
Remember, this isn't about discouraging Porsche or supercar ownership - far from it! It's about sharing my personal journey, to help others make an informed decision regarding their dream cars.

I have the identical but with 6-speed manual. I’ve owned in for 10 years which is by far the longest ownership of any car for me. I have 5 other cars including an 86 air cooled M491, and classic Alfas and mercedes. But this car so beautifully balanced and such a joy to drive, I simply cannot part with it. To each his own!

Yeh, they're great cars. Think I would have preferred a manual. Now have a manual Evora (my 2nd) and that feeds my drivers car need! Cheers

The 2 911’s I now own are my 6th and 7th Porsche 911’s. They are brilliant cars. I’m in the market for a bog standard 993 manual coupe. They are also fantastic cars. All are engaging to drive and test your mettle! Enjoy the Evora. Nice car!

Fair points. The 911 is not for everyone. My brother had a 997 Turbo in 2007 could not gel with it and sold on, he bought another in 2017, barely lasted a year before sale. So your reasons are quite understandable.

Funnily enough, I could tell after your last vid that the car wasn’t your thing. The nodding action after each upshift was a bit odd and it was noticeable that the car wasn’t making you Lol, just a grin. I like your style though, make up your mind and get rid - hopefully you haven’t lost much in the sale.

Broke even bascially, 4 months of free 911 motoring so not all bad! The Evora seems to be ticking the boxes.. for now!

Why you bought it then? You bought it online without checking it in person?

All sorts of reasons really. Had a 911 itch that needed scratching. It was local to me. It was well priced, in budget and well spec'd. It was a good car just wasn't quite for me at this time.

I don't understand these reviews. There's no perfect car, but this 997.2 is the nearest thing available. The smiles and great feeling it provides, while keeping a tight connection to the car and road, makes it one of s kind. I'm keeping mine 997.2 C4S definitely.
