Literally, the most fun I had during my four years was when our straight infantry platoon was attached to Force Recon and we worked with them to do these kinds of missions, working with the SEALs, quite often. For just a regular, 0311 infantryman, it was a dream come true. Fast-roping from helicopters onto moving ships and getting to know some of the Force Recon guys was beyond amazing. Those guys inspired me to no end, and still do to this day! They are a whole 'nother level!! #SemperFi
Hey KevinsNewWorld-98! Marines do travel a lot! We deployed a lot: visited numerous countries in Europe. as well as South Korea and Okinawa, Japan. Also, numerous states, including California a couple of times. Marines DEFINITELY deploy and travel a lot, usually more than the Army.
Stan R. Mitchell, this is John Rodriguez: I Am Prior Service USMC and US Army, and I Thank You,Young Man,for Your Service to GOD Almighty and Country as a 0311 Gyrene, and,I Am glad to know that You are content with The Corps and the experiences You had as a MARINE. Did You ever consider MARSOC Raiders and/ Force Reconnaissance?! SEMPER FIDELIS!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🦅🔫
Sounds like some Marines had a lot of fun. Back when I was in '02 - '08 it was strictly Navy doing this. We were usually coming in in SH60s and the boat guys were on the boats. I 100% would have rather had Marines in the boats. I didn't trust ANY navy fireman, or gunners mate, or cook, to run VBSS with us.

Once a Marine is a Marine till the end of this world
I’m Canadian but this is what I want to do after highschool
I’m going to Massachusetts Maritime Academy so I have a good chance to be selected and go as a officer
Can you join MRF as an officer? Also, what training do you need to join MRF?
good idea you open two fronts keep them jumpy and then dismantle them
