Thank you for this video. I was just switching to parking lights instead of all the way to headlights and that's why it wasn't working for me. 2017 3 in WA.
The on/off method worked at the end instead of starting my car after i was done. I completely turned it off and turn it back on. Thanks dude
Worked great on my Mazda 6/2016 Grand Touring. Not driving around with one DLR now! Thank you!
When you doing the sequence whit the light switch your not suppose to go all the way. You have to stop to parking light not the beam.. check the note
Does the car (engine) have to be on or off or does it matter?
P.s. my car is a push-start
@@brookem2225 foot off the brake when you push the start button twice (engine not running)
Worked on the first try! Thanks! Mazda 3 2015.
The first method worked on my 2015 Mazda 3
Great I have to try this ,because I wanted to get rid off it.
Did you replaced the w5w bulbs or not?
Thanks a lot!! It worked on the 1st time for my 16 mazda6
I saw someone do this and for the headlight sequence parts he only turned it on and off one click. You did two clicks.
I was able to turn the drls of with the buton method but never back on
Welcome Back dude! Happy New Year!
would you have to do the sequence every time you get in the car or is it just a one time thing?
One time unless you upset the change (possibly replace battery or have firmware updated)
Thank you it worked 👍
third method is change to LED
I don't have a 15A fuse and the DRL is working . How is this possible ?
Felix dada do you have the GT style headlights? The layout might be a bit different for how their connected
RainCity Cars It looks like yours.
In Europe the model is called "challenge". My car has the H11(low beam) and H15 ( DRL with high beam) bulbs.
I can't find a video to turn off the drl in 2nd gen mazda!!!!!!
Hi, did you manage to find a way to turn them off on the 2nd generation?
@@Tuberis I don't think I ever did. I just changed the bulb color.
@@markooska Try to keep them turned off as much as you can during the day by selecting the position lights on the switch that should only turn on the smallest bulbs and should turn off the low beam bulbs. It is difficult to remember to do it but it is important if you want to prolong the life of the projectors. These low beam bulbs produce a lot of heat, I measured over 100 celsius on the plastic reflectors that overtime burned the chrome reflective surface and the heat even cracked the reflectors resulting in unusable low beam lights. I couldn't find reflectors to buy and didn't want to buy entire headlights so I opened the headlights and removed the reflectors and tried to restore them by cleaning them and painting them. Have ordered even led bulbs in hope that they will generate less heat. This issue is the only reason I've been looking for a way to disable the automatic lights while the switch is in the off position. There seem to be four variations regarding light controls on the 2nd generation Mazda 3, the one I have the type D that keeps lights on even in off position and it doesn't seem to be any relay or fuse that controls them, instead it seems to be programmed to work this way.
First metod 100% not work.
