Excellent video. I'll try to do some of the exercises, at the beginning I'm not feel able to do all, hope to improve and do all the routine soon. Thanks for sharing. Amazing job.
That is awesome to hear! My coach loved coming up with new burpee variations... the options are endless! I hope you are doing well and ready to get back in the pool soon.
I do not do the same workout every day! Treat this more like a library of exercises to do. Picking and choosing a couple that gets to you 20-25 mins of working out would be best.
This looks like sucha killer workout!! Only thing I wish is if it was a follow along... rn seems like it'll take an hour easily to do the entire thing 😅
i've abeen lready 32 years old. although i'm not young for an athletet but i become one of the swimmer in taiwan recently. i'd like to know what kind sports can help me well on the swimming train. thank you for your videos. my specialization is 100m free and 200m free. i want to improve my butterfly and back.
Exercises highly appreciated, but honestly speaking it would be better to replace music with commentary so it's easier to follow if you exercise with TH-cam video.
Well your really good, I can get past the first 5 minutes without dying what would you recommend for a 13 year old kid who is going to go back into practice in a week . Cause I really struggle with all the prime pouse ones so some help would be greatly appreciated. Good video by the way:)
Thank you so much! You can mix up any of the exercises and just do them in lower reps if you want. I think my whole team struggled with prime position at first as well, it takes time! Prime is great for making sure you aren't straining your neck and are actually performing the ab exercise correctly.
Hi! I was wondering if you could help me. I wanna try out for my school swim team but I have no experience. My school is really competitive and has been winning state for 25 years.I was thinking about doing joining an out of school team and try to prepare myself. Also my parents aren't really sure about the idea. They wanted me to do a sport and so I picked swimming( I have a feeling ). I'm not really sure how I can convince them but I don't want to do swim if I'm just preparing to fail. I'm planning to actually try and practice but as I said I don't want to do it if I'm just preparing to fail. Do you think I can/should do it? My school tryouts are in October. I was wondering if you could could give me tips on how to prepare, what to bring to tryouts and practice, what strokes I need to know, tips about swim and strokes, what gear I would need, how to do starts and turns, what conditioning exercises, etc. Also my school team is a swim+dive team. Do I really need to know how to dive? Also I know this shouldn't really affect my decision but I'm worried about what other people on the team will think. I'm not really friends with any swimmers but I know that they know that I don't do swimming. I'm just worried that everyone will judge me. I found what I need to be able to do for tryouts Swim 3 out of 4 strokes legally Swim a 200 freestyle continuously 8 x 50 Kick- with a board on 1:00 12 x 50 Swim- 3 of each stroke on 1:00 8 x 100 Swim- freestyle on 1:35 Is this possible for me to be able to do in a couple of months? I'm actually doing a swim camp over spring break and I'm hoping that'll help. Thank you to anyone who's reading and willing to help.
Of course I would be willing to help! If the tryouts are in October I definitely think it can be done! It is a little difficult because I can't see what you are doing and your progress. Don't care about what other people think, you are doing this for you! I think one of the best things to do would at first just focus on freestyle. That is the basic one. I would learn butterfly last because that is a little tricky. Once you learn one stroke start integrating in the other strokes. Look up videos for beginners and look into drills you can do to get the technique down. Really look into videos and get them down before you visit the pool. Be patient with yourself, it takes a little while to get a feel for the water. If there is anyone in person that could give you lessons that might be your best bet.
Hello :) I’m really late in this video so you probably won’t see it. I’m going to be a senior in high school next year (also in Nebraska.) ive been swimming for about 10 years now and I’m not all that fast (a 50 free for me is about 40ish seconds) but I can only swim in the summer. Is there any time requirements I have to meet\ how can I sprint fast and still push through fast at the end? Also is your swim team really really competitive or is it really supportive? I’m trying to figure out options for school that also has a good swim team. If you answer this thank you so much
Our swim team is very competitive and supportive! I would recommend going to collegeswimming.com and looking at colleges to see where your times best fit. There are time requirements for some colleges so definitely go check those out. Building up some endurance will help with your races, but that will require more than swimming only summers. If you are wanting to stay in Nebraska for college check out Nebraska Wesleyan and Midland University ! I had some friends swim there and they enjoyed it!
Agree from this person under. This is a real swimmer. No bullshit. Would like to know how you will deal with all the training you have ahead of you. In my town in norway i am so lucky to swim next to the proffesionals when i do my exercise so i am just impressed how they do what they do when almost die after just one flipturn. How is your view on the use of sauna after training?? .Anyway you seems like a potential next Katie Ledecky!!Good luck
Thank you! And it takes a lot of mental training to be able to hit it hard at every practice. Personally I don't use the sauna after practice, but everyone is different!
No problem! It was all my coach's idea for incoming freshman actually. I would mix up the exercises so you have something different each day. There are a lot of exercises on here, so just go at your own pace and when you think you can't do anymore, do one more.
I think these series of exercises are the best. I'd like to know how many times can I do each position? Or if I have to practice exactly as you in the video? Thank you so much 😊🇧🇷
there are a lot of exercises you can do with bands or even just laying down and mocking the fly arms for a minute can really get your arms burning and activating those fly arms! a lot of free weight exercises such as tricep extensions. throwing a med ball to the ground also is great on working your grip and pulldown
Personally, I think a 14-year-old boy would be just fine doing many of these exercises! Anything can be done in moderation, so pick and choose a couple of exercises and build up the reps overtime!
@@shekharrudrabhatla8594 For sure she can be doing this! My dryland from the club swimming days was rough, but it transitions over very well! Do it it in moderation and build up to whatever you see fit!
This is the best swimming dry land exercise video I've seen on TH-cam.
Been following this workout routine for 6 months. Thank you so much for this. I've seen results in the pool and transitioning to cross country.
That is awesome!! I am so glad to hear it!
Great video, showing everything I cannot do. I'm 63, learning to swim freestyle to stay alive, love your choice of music :)
Excellent video. I'll try to do some of the exercises, at the beginning I'm not feel able to do all, hope to improve and do all the routine soon. Thanks for sharing. Amazing job.
We've recently done a core exercise video. Missing the pools being open :(
I know it! I am a coach now and miss seeing all of the swimmers and being on the pool deck.
This video changed my life. THANK YOU
Best swimming exercises. I love it!
Good strength Jackie. Hope your continuing to train hard.
Best exerceises I've ever seen.Thank you!
you’re amazing! idk how you can do so many burpees so effortlessly lol. Our coach sent us your workout and i love it!

I found what I need to be able to do for tryouts
Swim 3 out of 4 strokes legally
Swim a 200 freestyle continuously
8 x 50 Kick- with a board on 1:00
12 x 50 Swim- 3 of each stroke on 1:00
8 x 100 Swim- freestyle on 1:35

Jackie Jeschke Ok thank you so much! I'll definitely use this advice and try! Would you also recommend using this video for exercise?
@@amitamungi269Mungi yes this video is great for just normal exercising as well!
everything hurts
also, anything for backstrokers? this hurts so much
How many of these exercises would you recommend to pick and choose per day? I do reps of 10 but I don’t know how many of the exercises to pick.
Do as many as you can to get around 20-25 minutes of work in!
Hello! I’m super late to the video so you might not see this, but do you have any exercises for breaststrokers?
using resistance bands and mimicking the pull is a good one! any kinds of explosive jumps will help with the kick!
Good day! Do you recommend do this series every day? How many reps?
I wouldn't do the whole thing every day, but pick and choose some exercises and mix it up! Sets of ten is probably best.

How many times this exercise in one week? Pl tell
mix up the exercises and do them about 3-4 times a week!
Great video for swimmers. No videos like these out
thank you!! if you ever need any dryland for swimmers I have learned a lot.
Jackie Jeschke any dryland exercises for butterfly? I'm a fly swimmer and would like to add some more power into my stroke
Jarryd Snyman ME TOO! being a flyer is such a struggle sometimes
working with resistance bands and mimicking the pull would be great for fly!
Jackie Jeschke do you have any good breaststroke exercises? i know i’m really late!
Looking strong Jackie ! Great work and thanks for the video!
Hey I do t l ow if your gonna see this but do you do every one of these exercises in one day?
Normally I do whatever equals 20-25 mins
this is incredibly helpful thx

imagine doing 18 minutes of core, I'm done after 7
you should have plenty of time to do it now :D
;(
OMG i am soo tired after this my core is soo weak
Are we supposed to do it after or before practice?
I would recommend it before practice!
Please advice if a 14 year old boy can do this..he's in a local club and they train daily (swim only) for 3-4 hours..Or would it be too much?
