I have StopTech Big Brakes Kit on my E60 M5 as well (ESS VT-2 SUPERCHARGED) and those are pretty good as well, 6-piston fronts and 4-pistons rear. Braked tested hard from 250kmh to 100kmh and not even tiniest vibration on steering wheel. I would say Brembos are StopTech both are amazing kits, you can't go wrong with either one :) But you definitely have to upgrade as he said, if you're going SUPERCHARGED!
I take my hat of to you as you’ve done a great job but me personally I prefer mine stock the only thing I have changed is the air intakes , it now uses the carbon fibre induction kit by Evolve 👍🇬🇧
Brakes and super charger are 10k each. This will all depend on the condition of the vehicle, including rods, vanos pump. This does not include any engine work.
@HighNinjaLive cute. Just rods and bearings with a motor refresh, maybe $6k. Supercharger $10k. Meth kit and headers with full exhaust $5-8k. Install of parts and dyno tune $5k. Used mint condition M5 2006 $15-20k. Grand total $49k. Far cheaper than a Ferrari Pal! 😂
@@TopAutomotiveInc Thanks for your answer. I had a slight accident last year with my M5 and it was in a ditch. All axle parts came new (used from a 20.000mile M5) but my car is way to high even with Eibach springs. Can you tell me if it‘s possible they built the new axle parts in lower so that it sits higher now? Or what can be the reason?
What was the mileage of the engine? What leakdown test numbers are considered good for a supercharger upgrade/install? I currently have just have FBO on flex fuel with pump E85 on my E60 6MT. I estimate around 600+ crank on a custom dyno tune by a local tuner - yes maintenance is well up to date (already have bearings replaced twice and vanos pump replaced amongst other things. It is still a ton of fun but would it would be nicer with 700hp. Only thing is I like tracking once in a while and sc'd wouldnt be ideal for it - also has Stoptech BBK, KWV3's, GC adjustable camber plates, 275 front and 305 size rear tires.
This supercharger is a centrifugal so it progressively builds boost/torque with RPM. Litterally the best forced induction possible for a Track car. Improves the sound at the exhaust too where a turbo would quiet it down. Or were you just looking to brag about your old bimmer to the few people who actually read the comments on youtube. 😂😂
@jpscharged a little bit of both actually 😂. In all seriousness Im really looking to see reliable and consistent power delivery with an sc kit for my setup. The mileage is pretty up there around 100k so Im concerned of about reliability although there are reports of owners with over 100k miles on their S85 engines and having no reliability issues with an SC kit. Heat soak is the common enemy for these kits but from what I gather a meth injection system can help while tracking it. I will probably reach out to the poster's shop about the tune. It looks like the ESS SC kit that Im looking to get.

@@TopAutomotiveInc badass. I've had my e60 about 2 years and 50k miles with bolt ons / brentune and have been considering the ess SC. Was curious to hear about people's long term experiences.
Thats not possible, zero knock with knock meter detection and zero in the log when this tune was complete. There is noway to detect knock by watching a dyno run without watching actual data. Unless it's so bad it's about to blow but then it's too late anyway.
@@TopAutomotiveInc one of the signs that's pretty easy to spot is the little rapid puffs of smoke coming out the exhaust at your top end, unless you were hitting the limiter, that's probably some real slight knock
@@ShelbyWithAShelbyIf you dont have one already and if you tune. I recommend you buy a quality knock meter and don't rely on smoke alone. That's just not a good indicator for measuring knock at 8500rpms. Puffs of smoke can be related to many factors, meth spray and quantity, meth injection kicking on at full blast, such as this M5 with slight white smoke, or runing too rich will be black smoke or blue smoke due to oil burn. You need to use knock control meter to determine knock. This is the only accurate way to tune and to know what is actually going on. Every good tuner will use a knock meter with live data to tune the ecu (data can not be disputed) everything else can. Any other method is just not accurate nor is it scientific.
