Thank you for taking the time to do this! It was better then me throwing my treadmill out the window (teehee). I have the EXP 14i and my reset button was on the bottom left. I first tried with a paperclip but that was not teeny tiny enough at the end to feel the reset button being pressed. I didn't have a toothpick but I took a pen apart and that worked and could feel the button 'pressing in.' Cheers mate!

Sounds like it might be a motor overheating issue. Try lubricating the belt and see if it lasts longer than 5 minutes after that

I have the Proform Elliptical Sport E5.0 unable to locate the reset switch, also took the back cover off no switch seen . How can the reset be done?

I just checked on a 6.5 we have in the workshop and it is one of the rare models that does not have a reset button. Unfortunately if you can’t get it working it will need a new screen/console
proform t7 treadmill only had it 2 weeks and came to switch on faced with a blank screen of death. would only incline and screen stopped loading. Good old google found this. Looks to have on the trick nicely! phew was dreading a customer service call!

Hi, do you know if ProForm Premier 1300 treadmill has a pin hole for reset? Can’t seem to find it. Also, any idea on how to reinstall iFIT app on this treadmill? Thanks

I have the Nordic Track T23.0 model no NETL18711.0
It was working fine this morning but now the screen won’t go on?
Honestly can’t remember where it is on the T23.0, but it sounds like there is a bigger problem if the screen doesn’t come on at all.
Possibly controller is faulty or the screen itself.
Mine keeps saying it’s doing the update over and over. Never stops.
If you’ve tried the factory reset a few times and it’s still doing the same it might be time to call a technician

I have a Nordictrack R400 bike with IFit but have never used the IFit part. I'm older and just use what's there to ride it, but display won't light up but all else is working. I've checked over and over and there are NO small holes anywhere. Any ideas? My bike is 12 years old
It might be worth checking the power supply, could also be the socket where the power plugs into on the bike itself, they occasionally go faulty which stops power from getting to the console
Hi there - thanks for posting this, I've tried it a few times with my Nordictrack Elliptical machine - ACT commercial 7, but sadly it's not working. There is no power button, just the power cord input. I've tried a different powercord and nothing. Any advice on what the next step would be, or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It was working a few days ago, and hasn't been used much but just getting into it, so am really hoping to find a fix!
Does the screen have power or is it dead? If there is no power it’s more than likely the control board that’s failed. We will be posting a video in the next week or so on how to diagnose and repair this fault

Can’t help you with that sorry, best to contact ifit direct on that one as you may need to access privilege mode to do it
There does not seem to be a pinhole reset anywhere on the ProForm Smart Strider 935 Elliptical. Any ideas? The fly wheel is on the back of the machine. The ON/RESET toggle switch is at floor level behind the flywheel (nowhere near close enough to the display monitor to allow for holding a reset while turning it on). I’m flummoxed. The manual references resetting by entering a “Maintenance Mode”/pressing Maintenance Button in the Settings Menu that that doesn’t exist on my display.😢
In short, my monitor works fine but iFit wants to upload an firmware upgrade but can’t so just clocks. Won’t let me get to my workout screens until I load the new firmware. Pissing me off.
That’s a weird one, I can’t recall where the pinhole is on that one or even if there is one. Might be worth getting a tech to look at it but it sounds like it might need a new screen

@slbrown9624 I haven’t had to reset one of these, if it’s there it will definitely be on the plastic surround for the screen up top.
Some of the older models don’t have a reset button so that may be the case with this one, but definitely worth another look to see if it’s there
my 890 has a USB port there. I can't find mine

I have a 10.9 elliptical elite and it does not have a hole looked for an hour like a crackhead it only has usb and hdmi port
From memory it’s next to the usb port, very very small hole, super hard to find
My screen lights up a bit but is just black but makes noises when i tap the screen reset doesnt work
That sounds like either a faulty controller or faulty screen.
Very difficult to tell which without swapping parts over.
Probably best to get a tech to look at it to diagnose it correctly

Crazy question but where the heck does the ground wire go on proform T 10
You’ll have to be a bit more specific, there are several ground wires in each treadmill

I have a ProForm 550 CST PFTL60916.0 I got for a steal....I use it with iFIT, and works great, however, iFit continously tells me there's an update, that never updates...except for completely removing the "head unit" from the treadmill, I can't find a reset hole. It's the one with the rather hexaonal faces. I've seen a few other comments where there may not be a reset button..is this the case here? otherwise, Iove it!
Hey Jason, if it’s the 505 with an lcd readout it wouldn’t have a reset, only machines with the ifit screen have the reset

I’m pretty sure the 990 doesn’t have one. I had a repair on one of these a while back and we had to replace the entire screen 🙁

I keep having to reset every time I try to do workout. It works for one video and then I turn it off and then I turn it on and whoops error again. I reset it about 5 time already. Don't know what to do.
If you are having to reset so many times it sounds like the screen itself is faulty and needs to be replaced.
I would advise getting a tech to look at it before going ahead and replacing

my proform y 2021 android is stuck in a loop logo and black screen try to reset nothing heppend same loop true reset procesuder . any other solution to try 😢
you may need to try the reset several times before it works. If it doesn’t work after a few attempts you may need a new screen/console

I think you are looking at the microphone hole which is next to the camera. The reset pinhole will be on top or side of the screen
Sadly, ours has a usb port and we found a statement that says there is no factory reset / function 😢 a whole worthless treadmill?! 😩

If the screen won’t come on I’d say it’ needs a new screen or might possibly be a faulty controller not supplying power to the screen.
Best to get a tech to look at it and diagnose it for you

There is a possibility that it doesn’t have one. Some of the older models don’t have one but have a reset switch inside which is not easily accessible

Any idea where the reset hole is on the NordicTrack s25i? I haven’t been able to locate it.
Can’t remember exactly where it is on the S25 but I do recall it’s just a very very small cutout in the edge of the black plastic shroud, it’s so small that it’s honestly easy to miss.
Best idea is to get a flashlight and look around the edges as it is very difficult to locate.

Did it stop working straight after you moved it? Does it power up?

I didn’t plug it in immediately when I moved it into the garage. It’s been sitting for months. I Just tried it today with the new extension cord. The screen won’t cut on at all.

First thing is to check the safety key to make sure it’s got good contact and check all the wiring, it only takes one wire to not be connected for it to stop working.

If it has a screen it should have a reset. I believe there were a couple that don’t have them. They can be super hard to find sometimes though, sometimes it seems almost hidden in the smallest groove in the side of the console

If it’s from the 90s it’s likely it won’t have one, this reset is more common for newer machines with an lcd screen

If the screen is fading out it sounds like a power issue, more than likely a faulty controller or a faulty screen

Sounds like maybe you are just missing the switch itself by a couple of millimeters or possibly in the wrong spot

I’d say you have the right place but the switch is pretty small so maybe just play around with it and see if you can locate the switch inside there, it may be slightly off to one side

My pro-form 2000 it doesn't want to work, it turns on the screen but then it goes blank and doesn't go to the next process to run.
