    the gr86 went better than I expected considering how modified the FRS is. beautiful cars

      That’s what I’m saying!! Very happy with it. And thank you!

    The gr86 is a well balanced car and was never meant to be faster, but a fun drive. Thinking about getting one, but would really care less about people attempting challenge its speed. Obviously the modded frs would win if we’re talking mere speed.

      Yep we know all about that. We own both those vehicles and a S2000. Straight line races are pretty much pointless in these but in the corners nothing can match them.

      The sprintex supercharger with stock internals on 91 is super promising numbers. 300 whp 250ish torque

      Had a dude in a firebird pull up on me on the highway. I'm like nah bro, I'm driving the speed limit 😂

    How did you add 500 pounds to the Fr-s?

    • @FRS2K
      @FRS2K  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Wheels, widebody, big wing, air ride, subs, ect…

  • @jamesvang4392
    @jamesvang4392 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Good runs for comparison. Have you actaully weighed your frs? Id be surprised if its actually that much with just the widebody and wing etc.

    • @FRS2K
      @FRS2K  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have weighed it yes. I haven’t done anything remotely to save weight other than add things. My wheels are heavy also

      @@FRS2KI believe you but holy shit these cars supposedly weigh 2700 stock plus the driver, did you really add 400 pounds or more

    • @hunterpilot1571
      @hunterpilot1571 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m also assuming that you only had one person in the car with no other weight, but still even with all that, that’s an addition of 200 pounds or more

    I’d much rather have the NA GR86. Can’t wait to see more of what they can do with FBO+tune. Might just be the perfect balanced combination. And retaining reliability/less complexity. 250whp and 200+ wtq NA would be amazing with just easy bolt ons and tune. Honda K20Z3 motor with tune, header, intake, bigger exhaust make 220whp/160wtq NA. But the torque in a 2023 BRZ I tried was unreal, unlike any NA 4 cylinder out there with torque.

      Dude fr, my buddy said as a passenger it’s super torque’y

  • @savortheskies6988
    @savortheskies6988 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    When the bolt ons come out I bet the gr 86 might be able break even with a turbo 1st gen

      I agree!

      more displacement, better torque curve, I'd say it will surpass it.

    Do you remember how long it took for the first gen ECU to get cracked after its initial release? If I recall correctly, the first Turbo kit was released a whole 2 years after the car’s release.

      I don’t remember exactly being that I had mine for 5 years before I started modding it 😅 but if I remember correctly 2 years is pretty accurate

    Makes me want to get my FRS back on track, maybe after E85 🌽. This event allow roll racing. I rock with that.

    how do they compared from a dead stop?

    • @FRS2K
      @FRS2K  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Never lined them up from a dig. The GR will probably get the frs from the hit but it’ll get reeled in quick. We’ll have to line them up again once we take some of the camber out of the frs.

    The gr86 has about 250hp at the crank. More then advertised

      Ours is getting a beta tune from ecutek right now so hopefully that’ll wake it up some more but I definitely agree!

    Wow I didn’t know the frs was heavier than the gr86 🤔

    • @FRS2K
      @FRS2K  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well technically the gr is a tad heavier than the frs stock for stock but def need this way lol

    • @adrianl6754
      @adrianl6754 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the FRS is not heavier than the GT86

    • @FRS2K
      @FRS2K  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      New vs old with the same transmission, new is a negligibly heavier.
