As I revisit this video I thought I should mention something about the positive camber. Although it may look a bit odd it actually serves a purpose; but first I shall mention why it is still here. The positive camber on these tatra trucks are part of a unique suspension layout that is used by most tatras both new and old. It is designed to both increase grip while off-roading and also to manage weight while hauling heavy loads. This serves the in game benefit of not tipping over but when they do the 813 has a party trick. It is almost impossible to not have it roll back onto its wheels do to the wheel positioning meaning even if you lose your cargo at least the truck is right side up. In summary although the positive camber suspension on the tatras may look odd it serves a purpose and is still in use today.
Yes I read up on it and it came up on Reddit, interesting system but apparently not great when it comes to the repair side of things. Definitely an interesting system!
Just started the game and the Tatra 813 is a BEAST around Michigan. The sideboard bed and 2 saddles are mostly what I need there and it if there any big rocks, theyre not big enough to not make me miss the lack of raised suspension. 805....not a fan. Atleast sells for a good chunk of change so I can buy something more practical.
The Tart is an Eastern Bloc legend. The only manufacturer that had cars that were better than Western cars. Before the war, their design was stolen by Mr. Porsche, who created the Beetle based on it. VW even paid compensation for this in the 1960s. During communism, Tatra created the magnificent 603 passenger model with a V8 engine (such a bourgeois engine in a workers' state is an incredible feat) located in the rear! Plus modern aerodynamics and strong construction. As for trucks, Tatra patented its solution. Instead of a frame, the trucks had a central cylinder in which the driveshaft and differentials were hidden. Everything else was attached to it - that's why the suspension has such a strange geometry. However, this made it easy to make a 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 truck. All you had to do was add segments. This also ensured that the most important mechanisms were protected. Tatras working in mines, such as salt mines, have passed into legends - the humidity, salt or sulfur ate other cars very quickly, and Tatras lasted longer. Durability and, off-road bravery is something Tatras were famous for. Unfortunately, in the west it is not as famous as it should be. Sorry for my English from the translator, but I hope my entry is more interesting than the difficulty of reading it 😀
I like the 805 and can definitely see using it but one thing I notice is that it really needs a lift, even if small because it can't flex much and when you hit the brakes or accelerate or turn very hard the truck actually catches the tires and it throws it off. It's better when you have the skinnier non mud tires but then it's not amazing off road
Although you say the 813 is not as capable as the 605r (i agree) I think its strengths are so notable that it is still worth using. For me at least those custom mud tyres are very hard to look past.
The fuel economy and speed does make it tempting, definitely has its own useful niche. I also like the tyre choices. Pretty cool really, will be interesting to see how it does in my heavy truck showdown.
@@ATribeCalledCars in the heavy truck showdown I don’t expect it to be top but I would be disappointed if it placed below the top 65 percent. On the fuel economy side I would say it is above average which will have me using it on longer missions. variety is the spice of life yet I see myself using this beast a lot along with the 605r.
The lack of add-on options is a bit disappointing and no low saddle is a bit ordinary. I'd personally rather low saddle than high saddle, if I had to choose between the two.
Really liking the two new trucks, the 813 is quite capable, if unflexible, and the little "Duck" is an adorable little Scout/repair vehicle. Say, you asked for video ideas, you sometimes do simracing content aswell, right? Raceroom just pushed out a new update with completely revised Force Feedback, that might be interesting to check out.
Can’t wait to check out the new trucks. A year one pass best of trucks compilation or less confusing title would be much appreciated. Or how to prepare for the year 2 pass. What to sell or keep. Thanks.
Good ideas, once I know more about what is coming I can do the latter. The former compilation is interesting, maybe lots of people would find it useful.
I got to drive in the Tatra 813 Kolos (passenger) at offroad trial and it's a beast with amazing sound and capability, also the nickname duck is real as far as I was told, and also the nickname "osmsetpětkám" not sure if it was used much or just at that company. I think that the camber is big because when you load it it will get flatter.
The Tatra 8x8 is my main trucker. Its had some add ons since it was released - I normally have it with the flatbed which gives me 2 extra cargo slots. It does go quite slowly, although it can do most stuff and, most of the time, will just plow through mud etc. I don't like the speed (or lack of) or the turning circle though.
I think the T813 is an underrated truck. True, some bigger rocks may give its wheels some trouble, but for the rest, I have so far driven it on any kind of terrain and never got stuck. Despite its size I found it to be surprisingly nimble and versatile for certain tricky missions. And it's probably the only truck I haven't managed to tip over, heh heh. Cheers! //Rick
Thanks for the info on issues with DLC! Otherwise - great update, loving it so far! But... Royal BM17 is based on British Scammell s24, KOLOBs are based on MZKT which are made in the Republic of Belorus, ZiKZs are based on MAZ, which is also in Republic of Belorus, Tayga is based on KrAZ which is in Ukraine, Pacific Trucks - Canada. So game did not had only american and russian trucks. But more european trucks ... definitely could be an awesome addition to this game.
1:27 Nope ... The first "European" truck in Snowrunner is the Royal BM17 based in the British Scammell s24. The Interior is almost Identical. Also the ZiKZ 5368 is IRL: MAZ-509 & the ZiKZ 605R is the IRL MAZ-537 both made in Belarus... MAZ literally means Minsk Automobile Plant which is in clearly in Europe. Anyways thanks for the video.
@@ATribeCalledCars it’s helped me get some fun from Imandra. 😆 Seriously though, it even warns you that it’s almost too good. Oh, and the bed is amazing, it doubles as a portable ramp I love it.
21.5gb for my ps4 The 813 is ok, but so far the 805 is very prone to visting mr tippy if using chained tyres, hopefully the update fixed the dsync i had last week (loaded into a map and the truck went through the trailer like it was forming the old truck torndo and blew two tyres. detaching the trailer fixed that and tbf, it was a modded truck so, yeah
Thanks for this, I know what I am downloading and driving up hill and down dale later this afternoon then. I actually prefer the little trucks such as that tatra, the acteon or warthog for scouting rather than the scouts themselves.
@@ATribeCalledCars the warthog is a good truck but difficult to compare with the action. IMHO. New trucks are good if they are driven with no cargo or add ons like in a trial. Just been driving the big tatra and honestly it has eventually completed all I have asked of it. Baby tatra no, big fella then yes. Grip means progress. Add to that a naturally aspirated V12 sounds great. I like this new dlc.
Have played some time with tatra's and so far, the 805 is like Khan Marshal - have power and is a bit tricky to drive, but goes like tank. 813 is slower than Azov 64131 but it performs almost same. Goes slow but steady. I like them over all. Limited add -on's is a downer, but not a big deal ...
Agreed, plus the 813 goes a long way on fuel from what I have seen so far and even without the fuel addon. I think I will end up using it for longer deliveries.
@@ATribeCalledCars and 2 more things - if Azov had an extra fuel add on, it would be unfair, as it would be "go anywhere, do anything" truck in game. And 813 keeps momentum in mud. Where Azov have to shift down to move on, tatra just keeps going, no shift down's ...
Possibly since it's based on it... Ya know... something like GTA / Rockstar style vehicles... fictional vehicles made to look almost like real life one...
The T813 is like a diet Zikz 605R. I am also sure it is bugged as even with the best engine, it till struggles really badly on a lot of terrain when carrying or pulling loads. It doesn't feel like it has anywhere near the amount of power it should have.
@@ATribeCalledCars After further play, I think the bug is active only when towing a trailer. Without a trailer, it feels fine and will pull hard and climb hills easily, even with heavy cargo in the flatbed. The problem starts as soon as you have a trailer, even just a simple 2 slot trailer with no cargo. The vehicle feels like it boga down massively and struggles to accelerate. This is most obvious on mud, where it can sink and become trapped. A heav truck, with huge mud tyres and an S+ power to weight ratio, struggling on climbs and having to battle through mud with nothing more than a 2 slot trailer and no cargo in tow. Seems legit.

Tatra is way more capable in real life then in snowrunner I really don't understand why they did Tatra this way in snowrunner Its even better then most Russian trucks in real life
Why small vehicles like the Tatra 805 and TUZ 108 Warthog are so difficult to keep straight? Do their real life counterparts behave like that or just a game thing? Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable about vehicles.
Soo the update was yesterday and I'm on Xbox. Anyone else STILL unable to load med. logs into the med. log add-on? Though they'd have fixed this, am I crazy?
I didn't understand why the t813 didn't come with permanent awd and difflock.... I tryed last night, and comparing it to the zikz 650R is useless, almost no addons, and very slow, why anybody will pick this over the 650R??
It means you have to be in low gear and therefore going slower to maximise traction. However, that can have fuel benefits and it's more involving. But overall it is more limiting.
I think if you enjoyed the first four seasons and are keen for more it's worth it, £20 for another year of content. But if unsure, maybe wait until we see the first of the new phases.
On a normal truck when you add cargo it will camber so when you add cargo to the Tatar it combats the camber and makes it normal. So basically it counter the camber of cargo...
Hi, i just started the game last night I like to know the first thing must do Is unlock tower for the map first or make money first? Btw, The last truck seem very powerful n strong 👍👍
You can do both, plenty to do without watchtowers but they will help you reveal the map and that helps with route planning. You can use the Chevrolet CK1500 and look around. Equip with an autonomous winch if it's not already as this let's you winch when upside down. Great for scouting operations that have gone wrong!
Anyone else experience this one day I lost power and my game crashed when I came back to the game my map has been reset to where all the watchtowers are not discovered and all the trucks and trailers that I've already sold and discovered are now back on the map but yet I'm still level 30 and I have all my other trucks that I've already had and all my contracts and all that stuff for still completed
Would love to see the big truck compared against the Azov 73210 and the small truck compared against the comparable TUZ and see whether the Russians or Czechs build better trucks
PS4: I bought Y2 pass as soon it came out, but I do not see my Tatras anywhere (and cannot buy them in the store). Anyone knows how to solve this one? As a Czech, I want my Tatras! Also, linguistic corner - we used to say the following rhymes as kids: Na přechodu pro chodce drtí Tatra důchodce. Drtí, drtí, drtí, Důchodce se vrtí. Which means: On a pedestrian crossing A Tatra's crunching a senior. Crunching, crunching, crunching, The senior is wiggling. the more you know...
So, the DLC pack is in the store on the web (not from the playstation) and you can add it to the library. I'll check in the evening if it reflects in the game.

@@ATribeCalledCars ha, yes I have heard it is a nightmare to repair both the tyres and the suspension itself.
I got this and this is the best purchase Ive done besides snowrunner
Glad you like both.
Ben, since there are so many 8x8 trucks in the game now, you should do an "8x8 Showdown"! 😆
It crossed my mind, maybe you will see it in the channel!
I really hope they add the Praga V3S into the game :) legendary offroad truck
Just started the game and the Tatra 813 is a BEAST around Michigan. The sideboard bed and 2 saddles are mostly what I need there and it if there any big rocks, theyre not big enough to not make me miss the lack of raised suspension.
805....not a fan. Atleast sells for a good chunk of change so I can buy something more practical.
I love the new truck pack ,As well included in the season pass (year two pass)and did it right by including it
The Tart is an Eastern Bloc legend.
"Voted the best truck in Snowrunner, which it isn't". Couldn't agree more! lol
Thank you, I was feeling alone in this opinion.
The tatra heavy truck is really good in my opinion
It's a strong truck indeed.
Surely they are not the first base game European truck as the Royal BM17 is based on the Scamell s24, a British truck
Well first official European trucks is the line, but you're right.
"Osm set pětka" means The 805, that's not much of a nickname :D
@@1973honza yup
Would be one hell of a vehicle to ride in.
My video suggestion would be a hard mode specific tips and tricks video.
I like the idea.
In addition maybe a tip vid for starting in Alaska. There are a few on TH-cam but they’re all long vids
@@ACristianDude Nice, that's actually what I did. I wanted that 745C and didn't leave for a while!
Konečně naše Tatra 813 "Kolos", na tuhle chvíli jsem čekal dlouho. TATRA nezná BRATRA, ujede každému !!!
I play on xbox, I own the pack but I don't have the DLC paint job for the T813. Anyone know why?
I think the T813 is an underrated truck. True, some bigger rocks may give its wheels some trouble, but for the rest, I have so far driven it on any kind of terrain and never got stuck. Despite its size I found it to be surprisingly nimble and versatile for certain tricky missions. And it's probably the only truck I haven't managed to tip over, heh heh. Cheers! //Rick
i once thought i finally got it stuck nope the trailer just got stuck so i unhitched it and it just sped out the mud once again
Very true, you are correct.
Officially European was the developer line, but you're right.
Nice.
More Snowrunning 😃

I haven't tried that yet, perhaps I should!
@@ATribeCalledCars it’s helped me get some fun from Imandra. 😆
Seriously though, it even warns you that it’s almost too good.
Get the right tires, and spec the other good stuff on it, and it’s able to go places I’ve never been able to get to before.
1000 litre fuel tank too. Crazy.
Oh, and the bed is amazing, it doubles as a portable ramp
I love it.
I have liked the trucks so far I found the larger truck to be a bit tippy with chained tires
True, chained tyres are too thin on many trucks. A double set would be great.
I probably would enjoy them more if the handling physics was less unruly and unpredictable. The Warthog did me proud in the early days of Imandra.
@@ATribeCalledCars need to check that out. But over all, like I sed, I like tatra's. Add-ons would be just iceing on cake.
The Tatra 805 reminds me of the TUZ 16 "Actaeon". They have a lot of similarities.
Possibly since it's based on it...
Ya know... something like GTA / Rockstar style vehicles... fictional vehicles made to look almost like real life one...
Sadly, no crane on the tatra (I think)
The T813 is like a diet Zikz 605R. I am also sure it is bugged as even with the best engine, it till struggles really badly on a lot of terrain when carrying or pulling loads. It doesn't feel like it has anywhere near the amount of power it should have.
Yes the last engine isn't quite right, but maybe intentional to differentiate. Given its lack of utility addons, maybe it should be more powerful.
I love your videos especially having them run in the background while playing snow runner but I was wondering could you review the paystar 5600ts ?
It has become my favorite truck and I would like to see what you think of it

Good way to do it, you get the most out of the game by delaying mods I think.

Nope, you're right! Strong similarities.
Has anyone else had trouble with the multiplayer refueling issue? Players would get kicked after transferring fuel on Xbox Game Pass for PC. I haven't had any issues with it since last week, but there's no mention of a fix for that.
Got a question if anyone can help. Just got the game a couple days ago and bought both year 1 and 2 passes. I got absolutely no maps, trucks, or wraps from the year one pack. Any tips?

Its even better then most Russian trucks in real life
So I still can’t find these trucks at all. Does anyone know where they are?
Why small vehicles like the Tatra 805 and TUZ 108 Warthog are so difficult to keep straight? Do their real life counterparts behave like that or just a game thing? Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable about vehicles.
If you are going fast in mud without mud tires yes.
An element of real life but also the SnowRunner physics/steering. You'd have more control and predictability in real life.

They still havnt fixed when long logs pop out of the trailer but are still bundled on the truck. So annoying!
Hi the tatra v12 is twin turbocharged
I didn't understand why the t813 didn't come with permanent awd and difflock....
I tryed last night, and comparing it to the zikz 650R is useless, almost no addons, and very slow, why anybody will pick this over the 650R??
I'm unsure either except for variety, aesthetics or fuel economy. 73210 is also noticeably more useful.
@@ATribeCalledCars Exactly, you got the 650R, the 73210, 64131, etc...... Why????
No always on diff lock. Is that a bad thing for these trucks? So not OP?
It means you have to be in low gear and therefore going slower to maximise traction. However, that can have fuel benefits and it's more involving. But overall it is more limiting.

Yes and it is better for the main steering wheels although not perfect. Definitely worth a try, I'd say.
Does the pack come with new map/maps?
This pack is just the trucks but it is part of the Year 2 Pass and that will eventually offer maps. Around the end of August for Phase 5.
nice video
Thanks :)
Can someone explain the reasoning behind the camber on these trucks. I'm really interested
On a normal truck when you add cargo it will camber so when you add cargo to the Tatar it combats the camber and makes it normal. So basically it counter the camber of cargo...
Look up tatra backbone design concept
Hi, i just started the game last night
I like to know the first thing must do
Is unlock tower for the map first or make money first?
