    bro, you have to realize, the FK7/FK8 are an entirely different chassis than the Si. of course the ride heights will feel different with tuned suspension than the soccer mom Si sedan. The FK7/FK8 chassis was specifically designed to handle track/mountain-type roads vs the bandaid sedan Si. This is why a lot of people were upset that Honda did not make a Si Fk7 model and forced us, Fk7 owners, to do our own mods.
    It made no sense at all. FK7 models came stock with a turbo engine whereas the FC model civics did not. Honda really dropped the ball by making the FC models optional Si models and not the FK7, with more potential than non-Si.

    Even though a majority of people aren't fond of the cvt, I must say a properly modified and tuned cvt is truly good for what it is. Great video fellas! And Bryant, I remember you from the 10th gen civic page on Facebook, think I might have commented on one of your races you had with those Infiniti's lol. Goodness, small world lol. If you do your research on the Facebook group pages or the CivicX forums CVT’s are more likely to fail on a base map then a custom tune.
      Like Tony said it can happen to anyone even if you have a manual transmission.
      In my experience if you want to get the most life out of your CVT do the maintenance a lot sooner at every 10/15k miles using Amsoil CVT fluid. Driving habits don’t be doing dig races the CVT is not that strong to withhold all that stress from dig races. Don’t do WOT pulls at a low speed as well. Let the CVT warm up to operating temps before being heavy on the gas paddle.

    • @filmmakerstudios
      @filmmakerstudios 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bthesupersaiyan that’s the problem right there these aren’t race cars. I’d never race it or take it to a track. I’d much rather build a car with that purpose than push an economic car to its limit for no reason. I’m on the civicX forums too I’ve had mine since 2019. There’s people tuned on hondata’s base maps that have made it past 100k miles. A light stage 1 reflash is supposed to give you more zip over the stock tune that’s it. It doesn’t become a race car at all. Not even with bolt ons.

      @@beatboxic1793 are we still talking about the 10th gen civic? Lol
      We don’t have a supercharger kit for either 10th gen trim and you’ll max out at around 350whp regardless because of our fuel system

    Hey Tony or Brian, I just got the new integra 6 speed. I’ve never done mods before but I’m interested on doing full bolt ons and tune on my car. But I’m really concerned about the ruining something in the engine or transmission. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, can bolt ons and a tune be safe if I stay under a certain h.p. and torque number?

      @@josegarcia-albarran7862 can’t help but ease drip, I’m not 100% sure how much after market support there is for the car rn but basic bolt ons and a tune can be safe. It all depends how hard you are with the car. I’m not sure if the new si/integra have this issue, but the l15b7 is prone to lifting the head on the 10thgen cars that get driven hard a lot. Not to say it isn’t safe to mod the vehicle but this can happen
