    A lot of BT50 owners would benefit from this video. I have a 2013 model with driver and passenger climate control. My goodness what a ballache. I have changed 3 passenger side and now one drivers side blend motors. The part for the Mazda BT50 is identical to the Ranger part and a fraction of the price if bought from Ford as opposed to Mazda. The procedure is identical to your video. Champion effort once again mate. 👍

    Mate, not through the entire video yet but got here while trying to figure out what sounds (and looks because of the movement) like a mouse or rat inside my 2016 Ranger dash, chewing the shit out of hard plastic in there... Right now I have 6 mouse and rat traps set (I know) as I'm on a road trip and can't really afford to have a wiring loom chewed through. Now though you've got me 80% convinced that it might be the passenger side actuator. Many, many thanks!

    Great video. Thank you & well done. This is a much better option than Ford removing my dashboard to replace this unit. My 2015 Ranger has a driver's legs airbag there. Removing the airbag was simple, to remove the centre cover was painful (different clips to the video). Beyond that the video was 100% spot on. Thank you.

  • @josephgarrone3254
    @josephgarrone3254 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Great video thanks mate. Found that its a T25 Torx rather than T30. Also found that if you drill a bit lower you can get still a standard Phillips screwdriver in on a similar angle to the rest and undo it - definitely rate a magnetic driver for the re-install. There was also an additional plastic screw holding the top black aircon duct in from behind - appears to be missing from yours, but can see the hole it goes through in your video to the left of the ground. Absolutely zero chance of reaching that one with a screwdriver, but found you can somewhat squeeze the plastic screw out a tad and then use your fingers to loose it enough that it pops out.

    Great video mate, helped me a bunch.
    I’ve got a 2017 BT50 XTR… needed some nylon trim tools (super cheap/repco), had to remove dash around the head unit, slide the air con controls forward and out, lift centre cover up but not fully remove. Doing this it’s better to disconnect the 2nd/4wd switch to gain better access to screws for drivers side silver trim. Take the silver trim off (2 screws), un clip plastic cover in footwell (near centre) to access the screwed in footwell cover (2 screws). The access hole for mine needed to be about 30mm up and 20mm in (different earthing locations?), but you can get a rough gauge by having a feel.
    Cost me $100 in parts plus an hour and a half vs more than $750 elsewhere.
    T25 torx, Phillips head and 7mm socket

Still haven't found one yet !! 😀If there is a special tool that means no drilling, that might mean I get it done sooner !!

    tried this on my 2017 Wildtrak. wont work as the plastic covers underneath the dash is a whole thing (center console). its a pain as it covers the sidings beside the downward air tubing as well. and it also has 2 actuators (dual climate ac) and another for the recirculation vent (3 total). its the driver side that i guess is impossible to remove without removing the whole dash. good content still, learned a lot in most of your ranger vid. thanks
