When Jake says he prefers M2 over the 4V Blackwing - is he referring to Competition or CS M2? Cuz it's nearly impossible to find a CS for under $100k US. I have a M2Comp & really want a car w/ adaptive suspension. Is that CT4V Blackwing (fully loaded) w/ MT & carbon package a good enough option? Or should I keep saving up for Cayman GTS or that lovely new Lotus Emira?

@@fatoni698 Well no, in the UK alone, after 2035 all new cars sold in the UK must be full EV, ICE are no longer permitted. Also hybrids only from 2030.
@@NickLiang They'll find a reason to postpone it, then postpone it again, then rewrite it so it has exceptions. It won't happen in our lifetime.

@@basithph8958 that is all Lexus has and it is 200 hp and trq less than CT5-V Blackwing. The lowly CT4-V 2.7T almost matches it in torque. This segment doesn't want the playing card in the bicycle spokes noise pumped through the speakers on a V8!
Honestly at this point hearing "I'm Yuri , I'm Jacob We're going for a drive" puts a special feeling in my ears.
These two are an amazing dynamic in car reviews. Always excited when you see them in the feed!
I love these guys, but, "I'm Thomas", "and I'm James!" puts a special feeling in a more sensitive place.

I have a 2023 CT4-V Blackwing and LOVE IT! Despite what this video says, there is NO discernible turbo lag. It just feels and acts like one big engine. Amazing handling and braking with Cadillac luxury too!
Do you have the 10spd auto? Does it shift fast?
@daboxer181 Hi, yes I have the 10 speed auto, although I have had nunerous manual vehicles and motorcycles in my life. As you will see if you do any research, the auto is about. 4-.5 of a sec quicker in 0-60, and has benefits in the quarter too. It shifts EXTREMELY fast, especially in V and Track modes. With the paddle shifters, I don't miss a manual. My friend has a manual CT4-V BLACKWING and the spacing between gears is pretty substantial. I drove it and liked it, but the power delivery with the auto is so much better IMHO. Plus, I want to have both hands on the wheel when I'm trying to control something that is almost 500 HP I'm the size of a Honda Civic. It's a monster !

Right before things go full electric, Cadillac finally nailed these cars they've been trying to perfect since the original CTS debuted or even Catera if you want to go a bit further back.
The original cts was just as good as the current one relative to it's competitors. It always had a better engine, better handling, worse interior.

Were I to get one, I'd go with the 4V over the 5V I think. Cadillac actually made the V6 sound pretty good, too. Though I agree that the back end is a little wonky with maybe too much trunk.
What a tremendous job Cadillac are doing at the moment. I'd go for this in terms of aesthetics over the BMW's. Sadly and once again not available in the UK. Is synthetic fuel the answer so we can keep producing these fantastic cars?
I hope synthetic fuels get produced soon because even EVs are not the answer, it’s just temporary until we can figure something out that is truly beneficial for the planet

That's because you did not buy them. But it's Cadillac's fault for not building a car that could compete well enough. They never felt special enough to say they were premium. Lincoln on the other hand is building some impressive luxury vehicles today.
@@JuanGarcia-zq5tp The few I did see had great styling. Taking on the usual suspects from the German big three of BMW, Audi and Mercedes was too much though. Maybe perceived American build quality was a problem ( Not having a go at American cars myself. It's just what some say ). Infiniti seem to be in the same boat in the UK ( Although doing great in BTCC ). Chrysler had a bit of limited success but it didn't last long

Great episode! Another AMAZING car from Cadillac. Two for two! Bravo to Cadillac for giving us another amazing manual! All electric cars are automatics in practice which is why manuals like this are going to just skyrocket in price in the future. If you are in a position to get one of these beauties, get it. If you already have one, don't sell it and pass it down in your family. Your descendants would be glad you did.
Right now, nothing is better than M2 CS, that car is just piece of art in my opinion, having said that, these cars are awesome too, i like CTV blackwing more

Yes, i just bought a 2023 CT4-V BLACKWING and it came with three manuajs - the owner's manual, a V Blackwing "differences" manual, and one that pertains to the 2023 differences. Also, I have had Cadillacs before and the service appintments are MUCH better and more luxury oriented than other GM cars

Agreed...about the exterior. The front, especially the hood, look better and more agressive on the ATS-V! The ATS-Vs back looks fairly good too although not spectacular, but the CT4's back is kind of ugly duck style and the square tail pipes are of arguable taste... The interior seems better on the Blackwing tough, especially the "display" (gauge cluster) and functionnality of everything. Still I ordered a Blackwing... because I always wanted another orange car and aside from Nissan nobody ever offers that color. With red calipers, torch red seat belts and "graphite colored" wheels like in this review. I was thinking about getting my ATS-V painted in orange (already got the red calipers) but it'll end up being almost as expensive to get it done...:-P Besides I heard that the engine sound is better on the Blackwing!;)
the dripping on the leg is hilarious, but only because it also happens in my 2012 chev malibu.

To answer the question in the video, the CT4-V is easily the best sport sedan for the money in my opinion. Having daily driven an M2 for almost three years and had seat time in the competition, the Blackwing would be the far superior daily companion. The overly harsh ride on most modern M cars is enough to keep me from buying another one. Combine that with sky high maintenance costs, no thanks. This Caddy is a proper M3 beater and I love it.

This is an AMAZING car that Cadillac has doomed from the start, all anyone is going to think of when they see this thing is how it’s cool but it just isn’t the ct5. They need to relate the two, but don’t make them competing siblings .

@hatersgotohell The days of floaty "luxury" are gone, thank God. These days, more beauty, practicality, and performance is in the Cadillax line with MUCH greater reliability, safety, and fuel economy to boot!

You're lucky you could get your hands on one. Ordered mine a while ago but with the chip shortage I don't know if I will ever get it. Plus, I live in a remote village in Canada, so the dealership told me that, sadly, gm (be it in uppercase or not), doesn't really gives a rat's @$$ about supplying us with anything but pick-up trucks in the 1st place...:-/
I get that some people like to drive a manual, but what's the point if you have rev matching and no-lift-shift? Just get a dual clutch at that point, as that's what you are essentially trying to mimic.
Cadi is keeping it really classic rare to see a good manual shift in performance cars now

@@Mike-1000 Same. I wish Cadillac had remained as an option for UK buyers. BMW, Audi and Mercedes are very common here. I think we miss out on some of the V8 Lexus models that the North American and Canadians enjoy as well

CT5-V Blackwing has 6.2l and about 200 hp and trq than a Lexus IS500!
@@normt430 It's supercharged and up by 2.2L so why are you comparing them? Obviously it'll have a lot more horsepower considering it has a higher displacement and isn't naturally aspirated like the IS500.
