Love that people actually start to understand how good and usable were normal screens and we don't need freaking cinemas to change the AC
Unfortunately if you look at some of the comments on this video making fun of the small screen you’ll see how we ended up with 98” widescreens
I mean that's good for y'all with lil ass hands but us big handed people need something too
Keep living in the past bucko
@stillatin yeah, bu biggest screen almost in no car mean easier usage. It usually means there's a ton of tiny icon on it. And believe I'm I like when it's easy accessible. And with wide screens like modern Mercs or BMWs I would expect to not be forced to go through 5 options to find some setting.
@GODATCOD1 yeah well whatever, nice ppl can have opinion
Love the review…here are some more reasons buy one:
1) if you buy it new (at least in the US) they’ll send you for a 2 day track driving class at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Nevada.
2) It’s so track ready, they actually give you extra brake cooling vanes to be bolted on at the dealership if you plan to track it. They’re also one of the 3D printed parts.
3) When you get the upgraded seats, you do get cooling/massage, but also pass-throughs for a harness.
4) It doesn’t look like a G82 M3…😂
It's G80 M3 by the way. Cool car but dealerships can't move them off their lots. Apparently most of us still prefer the M3 😊
@@m3awd598 BMW knows how ugly the new M cars are and shifted their main focus / production to their other cars instead. They are artificially making the M cars scarce to create the illusion that they are valuable / desired when in reality they are some of the ugliest cars ever made.
@richurro20 LoL sorry but that doesn't make any sense. Sales nos. don't support your silly theory 🤫 BMW attracted many new customers with their new unapologetic designs. Their designs were becoming too predictable so they had to do something about it. It doesn't mean they are for everyone but they're selling really well and the nos. don't lie 🙂
@@m3awd598 it would be the fan boy with an M3 as his picture, and name saying this nonsense in the comments.
@Adierit I am a BMW fanboy and owned more than a dozen BMWs over thr years, but I'm only stating facts. Do your research and pull up the sales nos. and you'll see that BMW sold more of the current M3/M4 than the previous generation, and they probably sell 4 or 5 before Cadillac sell 1 blackwing 😜 there are plenty of blackwings on dealer lots sitting there for months in my area, whereas there's a wait to order an M3 🙂 facts are facts
My dad had one for a week as a GM company car. 6 speed manual with all the aero bits. Unbelievably composed and super fun to ride along in
This car is exactly why people get pissed off at GM. This car SHOWS they can sweat the details and get a car right compared to Ford and Chrysler, but the fact that they don't sweat the details on their volume vehicles like the Japanese do, and do it consistently is infuriating.
GM needs to stop building cars to a price point and needs to build them to a standard with consistency.
yes bro totally agree with this they keep pumping out performance cars with gm DNA in them when they should instead ditch the affordability and work on their perfomance
i bet GM would change as a whole drastically if they were bought out by a different company
@@getrightgianni if GM was consistent with their volume cars, they'd probably get more people who traditionally buy Japanese/German cars to give them a shot, but I digress.
Like Corvette. Some cars they care abouts, others are plasticy boxes of crap
Agreed, but that's about as likely as Acura building a RWD Integra Type S with a DCT
Hey guys, I bought my 2021 from your review of the white CT4 and it is still rolling great - love this car! So cool that GM has continued to make small improvements and quality of life upgrades to it. Keep making awesome videos
You get the manual or automatic?
Lucky guy thats one of my very very favourite sedans, alongside with IS500 i think
how has the maintenance been on it? I'm really keen on getting one too
I would certainly hope your two year old car is rolling great....

Thanks Yuri and Jakub for validating my order of a 2023 Ct4V Blackwing with a manual transmission. Like you I live in Ontario. I currently own a 2016 Cadillac ATS 2.0T RWD with a manual and a 2018 Mk7.5 Golf R with a manual. Can confirm Jakubs comment of the ATS being better than the Golf R as a daily driver can't wait to see how even much better the CT4V Blackwing is. I also second Yuri's comment that RWD with an LSD is actually better in snow than AWD from my Golf R to ATS comparison. With the ATS you are much more aware of the traction levels and it lets go at the limit very controllably. i.e. you never end up in a situation where you will have a crash. With the Golf R you end up driving faster and once the limits happen you are in trouble. i.e. you will end up backwards in the middle of a farmers field. Please everyone go now to your local GM dealer and place an order for manual CT4V Blackwings. #IWorkForGM
Yall sold me on volume knob AND tuning knob
The exact reason why I drive a 2019 Civic Si instead of a 2018 Civic Si
Seen this reviewed before but this is the best review because you legit pushed it! Really showed off it's capabilities. Makes you realize how awesome this car is. Bravo GM!
I've had my 23' CT4-V for six months now. I love it! Appropriate amount of power and the handling with rwd is incredible. Cant wait to upgrade to a yellow blackwing
I'm ordering a '24 in yellow as soon as the order banks open
Are you sure you have a black wing? Sounds like the you have just the ct4 v with the 4 cylinder 😂
Do you think the handling is just as good as Ct4 Blackwing?
Still considerably slower and handles worse then a bmw m3 or m4
Took your advice, just bought a brand new CT4-V Blackwing with a 6 speed manual transmission. What a beast! Such a fun car, love it.
As an owner of an ATS 2.0T I am so proud of Cadillac/GM for taking it up a few notches. My ATS is fabulous and fun to drive, I can't even imagine what this CT4 is like to drive.
Imagine owning a domestic car 🤭
Imagine being a judgemental lil inch worm commenting on other people's lives. Your post BMW is nothing your short have a small thing and look like everyone else...get a life chump
@@jumbomuffin1316😐
One thing that seems consistent across the board is to avoid the base 2.0t in both the CT4 and CT5. Yes it's a 2.0t but it's different all together. It produces less power, but it's more refined, with marginally better hwy mileage. Most people say to go for the 2.7t non-V or the 3.0tt non-V. They produce decent power whereas the 2.0t feels anemic.
The 2021 CT4 is still a fantastic car with continuous improvements. GM did a great job with its small upgrades and quality of life enhancements. It's awesome to hear that you and others are enjoying this car. Keep enjoying these rides!
What upgrades did the 2023 models come with besides the blackwing badge

There's a Chevy dealer near where I live that has one in light blue sitting outside. Great spec.
Very nicely done, guys! I especially liked that you took the effort to decode the VIN derivative on the steering wheel.
Was NOT expecting that sound! Wow! 🔥😎

Love this! Thank you for showcasing the struggles and resilience of the Eloy boys. 💯
Truly an underrated Luxury Sports car. Most bang for buck in its class.
Sick sedan... Now we just need the V Wagon!!!
Your comment illustrates exactly why we can’t have nice things. After this car that nobody will buy because excuses, there will be nothing.
I sat in this car at the Toronto auto show this year. Perfect mix between luxury and fun. An absolute mercedes killer
I finally got mine yesterday and I couldn't be more Happer with it so very amazing and BEAUTIFUL. I am in love with it
This looks like an awesome practical daily driver for the enthusiast .
Great point about the manual being good.
Just having a manual option doesn't automatically make it better, if them manual sucks like plagued with rev-hang, numb clutch engagement etc
The BW manuals are specifically known as being exceptional.
As a previous ATS-V 6sp manual owner, I hope in the CT4-V BW that Tremec fixed the 2nd gear interchange. In the ATS-V when the tranny was cold, shifting into 2nd had to be done gently and as you might experience rough shifting/clunking, or the shifter actually popping out of gear. Once the tranny was warm this wasn't an issue.
@@tipring6956 I have a '23 BW and I can verify it's still an issue. Even though I'm in AZ (averaging 112 over the past 10 days) I have to be gentle when going into 2nd gear while leaving the house. You get used to it though and once the tranny warms up, this car is an absolute blast to drive! I'm glad I was able to find one here in the Phoenix area.
Glad to see this car getting the respect it deserves. The ATS V was already a legend and this just improved upon it. Chassis, transmission and suspension put it above the M3.
Above the m3? 😂😂 don't think so
@@khalidsultan7109ain’t no way 😂 there is plenty of track times to prove that wrong in a straight line it will win but on track the 4v is superior

Love it!! Fantastic in Forza😅😅😅😅 both the Blackwings are incredible !!!
I’d buy one if dealing with Cadillac Service wasn’t an absolute nightmare. I have a basic CT4 rn and will 100% be going back to BMW.
Cadillac dealer experience in general sucks so much (in my experience)
This is a beautiful car. My in-laws had a standard CTS that I wish they kept better care of, but it drove beautifully. I can only imagine how this drives
Nice video keep up the good work fellas
I had a '16 ATS-V for 3 years and loved that car(w_the 6sp Tremec - yes!!). It was my DD and my track car. Awesome limits, awesome Arts&Science looks. The CT4 to me kinda lost some styling edge, but gain a huge amount in the luxury interior equation, and refined/ modest improvements in the performance envelope. Mentioned in the video, that clamshell trunk STILL HAS NOT grown on me. Everything else looks sharp. Some day I might come back to Caddy, picking one of these up as a CPO. The Caddy stealership experience was less than ideal... felt like a domestic brand/Chevy experience with better loaners. Nothing compared to the Euro luxury experience, or Japanese luxo-brands for that matter.
I drove the CT5 Blackwing at CTMP the other day. It completely blows everything GM makes out of the water, even the new Corvette Z06.
I bought a 2022 CT4 V Blackwing in February 2023. I got it for $65k - has the Built in 1080P Dashcam - its the 10 speed automatic - i got about 6k miles on it - its the funnest car i've ever driven. If i set it to cruise control around 80mph it gets about 25-30 mpg easily. otherwise its about 15-20 on the freeway - bout 15mpg in town. Isn't bad on gas really. I haven't taken it on the track yet but its quite fun. My only regret is that i didn't wait another year and save up to buy a CT5 V Blackwing lmao.
I was at Street Car Takeover here in Indy Saturday and the Caddy Vs were out reppin hard. They were in every class turning fast times on the strip
I just bought a car. I kept waffling between a relatively sensible sports sedan like a CT4-V Blackwing, or an Adrenaline Orange Corvette w/ Z51 fully optioned..... orange and impractical won.
Also perfect
Same. I was between this and a Camaro ZL1 1LE… I ended up putting in an order with the Camaro 😢
Side note- tht orange is the perfect color for the vette
My local Cadillac dealer has marked these up to $120k. And the CT5-V is $175k. I think I'll buy an Aston Martin Vanquish instead.
Waaay over price for these. And I like it. Aston Martin beautiful 👍
I've had mine since May 11, 2023 and freaking LOVE IT!!!
If I was in a spot to have one of these I'd 100% pick one up. This is up there with one of the best daily drivers imo
Y'alls review was one of the major forces that made me get mine!
For anyone looking for a deal, they do exist! Barely used ones for a steal (like mine), and new ones going for msrp & below. Just gotta hunt!

Great car. Love the color. Only complaint is the styling of the back end.
I was so pumped to see this review posted. This might be the car that replaced my loved 2005 Subaru Legacy. The only thing that worried me was living with this in Toronto winters
Looks super smooth! Being from europe, I dont get to see these on the roads, so thank you for showing me guys :)
I have a 4BW and love it. The easiest way to tell the difference for a BW is the non BW does not have the vents behind the wheels.
AND...BW's have black exhaust tips. Regular V's have chrome.
If they existed as wagon here in Scandinavia I would order one instantly. 😁
Americans haven’t done station wagons for 2 decades and never will again

Just saying what I'd like. I know it will never happen.
Volvo dont do this kind of stuff anymore, sadly.
@@WhatisthisstupidfinghandleExcept for a little over 500 Cadillac CTS-V station wagons made from 2011 to 2014. A Cadillac station wagon with a Supercharged 556 hp V8 and a 6-speed manual. They cost as much or more now as they did when they were new.
This is my favourite episode by far
Cadillac for the win!! Love the lineup!! good job!
I had a 2016 Camaro RS with the non-turbo version of that engine, but with the optional dual-mode exhaust, prob one of a very few ever made. Sounded amazing at the top of the rev range, and had great response. I can only imagine the TT version is that much better.
A lot of the Camaro V6's have the dual mode. Came standard on the 1LE variants as well.
My lady has one, I can hear her come and go 😂
My brother just bought a white 6mt today because of this video lol. The drive home was nice even with only 4500rpm available. It has 17 miles so no full revving.
Congrats to your brother
I did buy one, 2 years ago. Best thing ever.
I love the hard buttons and knobs!!!!
I would take this over a lot of sports cars if I had the money to buy one
The flat foot shifting almost have the same sound as the single clutch auto or automated manual
The front door / fender and those wheels remind me of the Chevy SS. Love it!
I like this interior, reminds me of my 2015 335i. Center screen isnt a big ass ipad and lots of physical buttons gotta love it

I would love to own any Blackwing in blue and would keep it for a long time. My only concern would be availability of parts after time, I heard that its very hard to get CTS V parts for certain model years for example
These things are rockets. Just a tune can get you into the 11s in the quarter.
@@cowmath77Yeah well I built a trebuchet for $800 that gets me down the quarter mile in 9 seconds.
Seriously what a ridiculous comparison to make.
@cowmath77 it actually is silly. Comparing a bike to a car. Even the sensation of speed is different and you can't daily a bike. Soon as it rains you're fucked. Stop glazing an 11 second bike is actually slow asf

Sweet car. I think the Blackwings (CT-4 and -5) are peak GM. Once the production run for these finishes it’ll be 20 years before they do this good again.

20 yrs? Lol. No cars by then🤣🤣
It looks like what Holden were producing 15 years ago. Good to see someone keeping the dream alive.
yeah I was thinking the same while watching. This is what the Commodore would have been had they not canned the brand.
@@TommyfromNewZealand it would be nice seeing it with an LT2 under the bonnet
Earlier today the wife and I test drove a 2023 CT-4 Blackwing with an MSRP of $78,500 with $1.395 of dealer addons and a 5k markup, total price before fees: $84,895. They only had two on the dealer’s lot and this one was had the automatic transmission and the other CT4 Blackwing had a sold sticker on the dash and it was equipped with the manual transmission. I currently drive a BMW F90 M5 and prior to the M5 I had an BMW F80 M3 both M cars were purchased new. My wife of over 37 years has still not forgiven me for transitioning from the F80 to F90 due to size increase of the F90 over the F80.
The test drive was rather short maybe a total of 5 minutes. I did not want to thrash someone’s car but I was able to accelerate from a stand still and used both touring and V mode. Touring mode made the car have a floaty drive and was making my wife feel sick. Placing the CT4 Blackwing in V mode stiffened the suspension but a sweeping turn at speed and the car did not feel planted and did not instill confidence in the handling of the car. Both front seats felt loose and had extensive bounce when driving over rough portions of the road, interesting feeling. The interior felt cheaper than our BMW and I am comparing it to our departed M3. Our M5 with full leather is much nicer then our departed M3 as it should for the price difference. Maybe it was the automatic transmission but in V mode under ¾ acceleration it just felt lacking and uninspiring. My wife made the comment that if felt slower the our F80 M3 that had 425HP. I fall into the category of one that does not track my vehicles. When I choose a vehicle, it is the totality of all things that complete the vehicle and performance plays a part but is not the end all be all. One can only drive so fast on the streets. The inside of the cabin plays a big part and this is where our belief Cadillac needs to improve upon for a vehicle that has an MSRP of 78.5k. The G80 M3 sells out quickly here n SOCAL so trying to test drive one proves to be challenging. The wife and I do like the new style of the front grill of the current G80 M3 but with a dark colored exterior it may be doable.
your wife also tell you what underwear to buy?
Totally amazing car !! I have driven it and it's a JOY! I do love the CT5-V as well with because of its awesome V8, The only way to know if its a BLACKWING is to look at the tiny BLACKWING label in the in the seat and the quad exhaust. that's it !
Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop driving it. Almost 3k miles in 3 weeks.
Yesssssss I got mine 2 weeks ago and it's been simply perfection. Best car. Every time I get in to drive I have a good time 🥰
i literally could not wait to get mine broken in lol thing is just intoxicating to rev out
@@bwSteen red line revs under overpasses sound like straight up machine gun fire 🥴
So much so that anytime my wife needs me to run errands I have no issues saying yes 😂
I am about to purchase the SS 1LE but this has me reconsidering. If this had an LT1 it would be perfect but the engine sounds sweet still.
I also considered one of these (and a few others) but ended up with the SS 1LE for the price and V8. Differet experiences. The Caddy is a sleeper and goes under the radar for the most part. You get attention and constant compliments and conversations with the Camaro. Kids of all ages love hearing the V8 roar too
That v6 is superior especially when we’re talking hp per dollar when modifying
@mogulme6190 If you're considering modding right away, then it's ZL1 money
Can’t go wrong with the SS. I had a manual 2SS and it was an incredible car. I couldn’t believe how well it handled and it wasn’t even the 1LE. The LT1 sound is intoxicating. Only bad thing is you can’t see anything out of it.
Buy the 1le. I haven't found a better car under like 70k
That V6 sounds reallllly good wow
I LOVE this car. There’s a blue one that looks amazing and that’ll be my dream car!
I had the 4 with manual & ended-up trading for a 5 with the auto. Miss running through the gears, but I live in a fairly dense (high traffic) area. Both are great cars … my only gripes are (1) The level 2 carbon fiber package should be standard. I’m thinking of upgrading at least the rear wing. (2) 4th gear has a very “stretched” power band, so there’s a lag when upshifting from 3rd [using the paddles].
Otherwise excellent … getting 15mpg 🤪
15 mpg is excusable when you get over 15 spg (smiles per gallon)
Heh.. 15mpg
Got them heavy soled shoes do ya ?
Good to see Cadillac making a better car than BMW again.
How? This is the only review saying the prefer it.. they gave 0 facts on why it's better. They just said the stick shift version is fun. A m340i is faster then this car. It's not even competitive vs a real m3 or m4 xdrive. They are faster handle better and look better with an adro or CSL grille. I'd get a m3 anyday over this old man caddy
Mindbuildingsolutions approved!
Excellent video and content.
I love the small screen
Been living in Europe for 5 years, 4 of which with my Fiesta ST, but man, North America is rock and rolling with great options to the point where I'm considering moving there just for the cars. This would be definitely be at the top of my list
The cars don't make it worth it 😂
Dude do it you will only regret things you don't do, if you have a lot of money, do a bucket list, Jeep in Baja, race rally car up mountains, find a track and drive a muscle car, go to a car museum in Las Vegas, drive a Raptor around the city just because being an ahole is American, just find some random person and blast your loudest engine note into their face and hit 100 then brake hard into a left turn into Walmart. Just LIVE my man.
Um hello Europe puts out the best cars in the world, BMW Porsche Mercedes Audi Ferrari Lamborghini on and on and on.
I was considering a CT4-V BW but I ended up with an Audi RS5 Sportback. The biggest thing for me was the lack of AWD. I know Cadillac said that they didn't include it because it didn't add an advantage at the track. That's fine, but the reality is that for cars like the M3, C63, and RS5, etc., the number of people taking it to the track is single digit percentages. Yes, car enthusiasts and magazine reviewers go on and on about it's superior driving dynamics. However, they're clearly not the ones buying these cars. The vast majority of people buying AMG, M, and RS cars are buying them for everyday driving and never take them to a track. They simply buy these cars because they can or because they want the most expensive model.
The interior and fit and finish of the Cadillac was definitely below that of the Germans. When I went to test drive one, the front seats rocked back and forth slightly. The sales person said they were purposely designed that way to "help absorb the massive acceleration forces". LOL but I have to give them credit for quick thinking. The hard plastics and tiny screen were also marks against it. My RS5 has a larger screen yet still retains physical HVAC controls. If I was looking for a track car, sure I could excuse a lot of this. However, I'm wasn't. I was looking for a nice daily driver and the interior is what I'm going to be looking at and interacting with most of the time. I'll gladly take slightly reduced driving dynamics in exchange for a much nicer interior.
If this CT-4 BW had come out to compete against the previous generation of C63S, M3/4, or RS4/5 it would be a much harder choice. With the Germans all having AWD and really upping their interior fit and finish game, the Cadillac is lagging behind.
RS5 is great but somewhat underpowered for the price, I have a 2023 RS3 currently
@@fzr1000981 Yeah, more power is always nice but realistically, for what 99% of the people, myself included, buy it for, it's more than enough. That said, I put the 034 tune on it so with 93 gas it's making 514 HP.
I can't flash the RS3, kind of frustrating
@@fzr1000981 It's still fairly new. I'm sure they'll come out with a tune soon. I had to wait a little over a year for the tune for my RS5. RS cars are lower volume so they always prioritize the S cars first since there are more of them.
