The law is you lose your rights to privacy where there is a perception of any wrongdoing so that stops the one about a prisoner's rights. The victim, well how do you know they are? What advertised messages are there to protect a victim's privacy rights? No signage stating, 'NO PHOTOGRAPHY'. This is the answer, there are no rights to put up signage like that. Just as prisoners can, a victim can cover their head if privacy rights are at the forefrnt of their problems. The copper saying this is assuming an advocates roles. That is against his impartiality oath. “I do solemnly and sincerely declare and affirm that I will well and truly serve the Queen in the office of constable, with fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality, upholding fundamental human rights and according equal respect to all people; and that I will, to the best of my power, cause the peace to be kept and preserved and prevent all offences against people and property; and that while I continue to hold the said office I will to the best of my skill and knowledge discharge all the duties thereof faithfully according to law.” It is not an offence to film or photograph someone unless it is in a private setting under their control or one they can have influence over. Such as visiting a friend who would have. The officer had no complaint to act on from a victim visiting as a victim. Something to do with a potential civil matter is not crime prevention in these circumstances. The officer had no remit to act. He acted contrary to the video maker's human rights. The officer was trying to prevent these. Its a miscontact compliant not to uphold someone's human rights.
