No it's not. You haven't got to show your details to a member of the public. The only people that can ask to see them are the police, the SIA or the Council.

That’s a really interesting bodycam that cop has. Thats the first one I’ve seen which has a screen showing what’s being recorded for all to see. I guess that also means that the officer can also interact with the saved footage, rewind, rewatch, edit, delete, etc.. where as without a screen they have to plug it in or give it to superior etc to view the footage.. 🤔
i've seen that type more than once, usually it's the circular one with three leaves around the lens, but i have seen ones that have the screen. and i don't recall him declaring it was turned on "at the first opportunity"

The Police Officer was obstructing and demonstrating clear partiality in covering for the Security Guard not showing his ID as he is required to do so. In investigating, a Police Officer must demonstrate that he is impartial, so Fail in that respect.

I think the police officer was in the wrong. People have a right to film in a public building. The filming should be done peacefully without causing disruption and not in restri ted areas. We are filmed every where we go i dont see private filming as any different. The security man was very aggressive he put hands on the auditor on approach. He later did in fact assault the auditor he was the one breaching the peace. I don't like the attitude of the auditor but that doesn't mean his rights should be violated. Hate the thin blue line badge.
