I've now rewatched this 3 times. Their chemistry is amazing. Conan is such a natural host, Kimmel and Fallon could take lessons. Also just an FYI, Breaking Bad is still the best written show in the history of television.
Bryan is going to pull a Paul Rudd and every time he comes on Conan to promote something he is going to show the Airwolf intro instead of the real clip of whatever he is promoting.
Im a huge Conan fan and to me he is one of the best late night talk show host. But these are the types of interviews I love, just 30 minutes of straight conversation with some friendly banter. Im starting to realize I like this better without an audience.
I wrote my oral communication paper on theme songs of early 90's tv shows. It was the most appreciated one in the class by far! People where crying and laughing during my presentation. These theme songs hold a place in our hearts.

Conan has always been THE talk show host that can hold his own show with or without the help of his audience, and doesn't need his guests to help make the show fun. Conan and Andy are enough. The guests just come by to have fun.
Tldr ; hosts hate their audience 90% of the time I dont think a single talk show host needs an live audience to attract tv viewers its done for the single purpose of selling expensive tickets. No host rlly likes their audience cus theyre told to laugh at every joke and that can have kind of a duality to it cus, when the audience is great and laugh at every joke, the show will seem extra funny. But theres nothing worse than having laugher and then taking it away. Makes every terrible joke that much more ugly. I do like conan more than most talk show hosts thoguht cus he can hold a conversation that is both engaging and fun (and no cheap drama at the expense of the interviewee)
This is the first talk show I've ever watched or listened to without a laughtrack and still be this good or even better than how it usually is with a laughtrack
I love when the guest and Conan are going back and forth like this. Isn't just there to plug a project but actually engages and has some give and take. Quality > Quantity 1000%
How is cranston so down to earth? its like his the opposite of normal celebrtiy actors, and he just exudes this sense of authenticity yet at the same time he is such a versatile actor.

This interview was great! I still miss the more serious part of Conan - like Serious Jibber-Jabber, and I think he'll be great on Actors Roundtable (to be interviewed or to be the host).
Your "Late Night" legacy is safely set in exactly the same way you launched. Authentic. Humorous. Unique. Fresh. Different. These conversations with so many celebrities and accomplished people will enrich (and entertain) the viewer no matter how long it takes them to discover (or rediscover) you! For some reason I respect and appreciate these few laughs at a time in the background over a giant audience. They feel a lot more genuine when I laugh along.
I was born in Georgia but my parents sent me to live with my grandparents in China til I was five. When I came back to the States, I of course spoke no English. Airwolf, The A Team, and Perfect Strangers literally taught me the language. I could tell time by what show was on long before I could read a clock. Just hearing that iconic Airwolf theme song makes me so happy. Thank you, Bryan Cranston.

I didn't see Airwolf for like 25 years, but the theme song is firmly burned to my brain, so it instantaneously snapped back in as soon as Bryan mentioned it. A masterpiece of 80s/90s cheese.

I've always thought, what would happend in a Conan show without the laughs from the audience? Would it still be funny? I can say that this is one of the most fun and engaging interviews I've watched. i think this format of no audience suits Conan and Andy perfectly.
Bryan Cranston does it all. Serious movies, comedy... ALL! He is super smart and talented. Shame how everyone is getting sooo old now. Even Conan ;/ Oh well, they still got it at least.

Bryan is so naturally FUNNY... I had no idea, and his sarcastic (caustic?) delivery is so on point!
He's such a genuine guy... I'm gonna have to go back through Breaking Bad. I never cared for Malcolm in the Middle, but he just has something about him that tells me he's a real guy, and down to earth. I bet he'd shake your hand if you met him on the street
This format is way better than the old live-audience 10 minute interview with the ad break in the middle.
