Question of the Day ⚡ What editing software are you using to edit your photos and videos? Let us know! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 **** Check out the Samsung T7 Portable SSD here: amzn.to/3h6tHv8
I am using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2021. I used 4K Video Downloader to download music (videos) from TH-cam, then Premiere Elements to edit out some people talking and to ensure volume equity across the video files.
Am I required to create a password for this device? Or can I just start using the device without one? I'll be using it with windows on a lap top. Informative video, thanks!
Have used and love these for some time now, all the way back to the T5 when it was quite expensive. As the prices began to drop, I got more and now have 4 or them, two 5's and two 7's. My only limitation is that my computers don't have the 3.2 usb, but these are still much faster than the hard drives and so small that they are a breeze to work with and transfer data between my computers and cameras. I love them!
I like your voice it’s gentle and relaxing and your easy to listen to ! thanks for this I was unsure about getting the T7 but this was exactly what unneeded , so I’ve gone ahead and ordered it . Thanks
Maybe a stupid question, but do I move the actual photo and video editing programs over to the SSD or just the photo and video files? Thanks for your work.
I've been watching your videos from Turkey and I really loved the narration. Thank you for subtitling videos. Since you explain everything in detail, someone with average English can easily understand your videos. I am thankful to you.
Reading your comment 2-9-2023, I hope you & yours are safe from the terrible earthquake in Turkey that recently happened. My prayers for those affected by it there.
@@Earthy-Artist Thank you, I was one of the people who lived in the epicenter of the earthquake and it was truly terrifying, one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. Thank you for this information. Would you conside doing a video to show how to hook the SSD Drive up with imovie as the main storage ? Also do t=you kno whow to shoot Video from a 5D Cannon directly onto an ssd drive ? These would be great videos
I'm very late to this party by at least 3 years. I am just figuring out how to use external drives. Like as in I bought this T7 a week ago but now what? Anyway you mentioned you use these for back up. But on the Q/A page on Samsung site they state this device can not be used as a back up. Copy paste from their site: Does the Portable SSD T7 Touch support data backup software? No. The T7 Touch does not provide a data backup solution. One of the reasons I decided to try this out is I just loss a lot of files when my older PC died 5 weeks ago. So I'm scrambling to update my PC world and catch up to technology to a degree anyway. And of course had hoped to use this as a quick back up set up too precious work. I'm also confused can you actually load programs to the T7 and run them and build files on the T7 while working through your computer? So when you unconnect and take the SSD to another PC you can resume where you left off. One of the things I'd like to do is share files and designs with a friend who designs and uses the same digitalizing software programs as I do. We like to share back and forth and when I've developed an intricate design ready to print or cut with digital cutting machines it would be great if we could do it by taking this device back and forth instead of our computers. We are neighbors but come WINTER in NW Montana something this size would be far more easy to share back and forth than our PCs' and having to connect them to the others printers and cutting machines. In other words hoping to design on this device through my PC & unplug and carry to her house and plug into her PC and she's all set up with her printers and her cutters. We share the same cutters and same software programs but not same printers. I'm more portable than she is to a degree. But I also have an inkjet, laser and inkjet converted to sublimation printers on my PC and also I print via a connection at our home to my husbands two printers as will. So we thought this might be the way to continue to share our designs and make changes to them. Example a design I finished but is personalized she can access then and change words or names to fit her family and friends. She's looking at getting her own SSD same as mine different color so we easily ID which belongs where. That brings up another question can we clone one SSD T7 to another so we are twins using twin programs and systems only different computers and of course even though some of the external devices like the digital cutters are identical our printers are not. It all sounds complicated but it's what we want. And of course not everything one wants is reality these days. (If that was the case I would roll the world back to XP or earlier when you didn't pay for office or Photoshop as in yearly rentals. I just invested in a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 because it's one of the very few tablet style devices that is compatible with the software for a new digital cutter. Turned out my tablet only a year old is not compatible. This is an expensive update to have a semi-tablet/laptop just to be compatible a specific device. But my W10 Lenova laptop less than 2 years old also failed to run the device. It can upload and work the program but won't connect to the device itself. True the cricut brand is the problem here as they are not bothering to broaden their wares so to speak to fit a more realistic world. My friend is using her phone because her computer like mine did not run the device too but her phone does. So we so are hoping with the use of a pair of the SSD T7's we'll find a win win avenue to success. And of course I will share the Surface Pro between us too until we can figure out what other computers or tablets run the device not just the software program. It's all confusing and very frustrating. Anyway I was thinking I understood in part that I could use the T7 as a back up system too. Now that's in question & until I find a definitive or clear answer I'm on hold investing in a second T7 SSD for my personal use only.
Hello, you have quite a use case for your T7. But think of the T7 just like any other drive you have installed internally. You should be able to install and run programs on the T7 and move and run on another computer as long as the software is compatible across operating systems. I suggest you test this with a program and a small sample of data to see if your vision is going to work the way you want it too
Thanks for your interesting video. I use Vegas studio 17 platinum for my video editing and be frank I'm not very happy with it. The program crash easily in-spite of the latest update, any recommendation of other editing software??
I hear a lot of people like DaVinci Resolve 17. It is free and it's very powerful. I would probably use it myself but I already have the adobe subscription for all the applications
It sure can. Just be sure you have the latest USB port on your current computer before you buy. This will give you the best read/write speed. Know that it will work with ports with older USB specs but it won't be as fast
I have one conected to my samsung cell phone, it recognice it, says how big it is, and the security stuff, I downloaded the app od course, but how can I get into the device, I see no working button

thanks for the video!! im about to buy mine for running engineering programs, the thing is i`ve seen other reviews saying there`s disconnecting issues!! is that also your case?
I got mine in the mail today. It's a blue 500 gb and I got it for $69 via Amazon. I was looking for the 1T but the price on this one was too good. The real reason l went for this one is that it's supposed to run much cooler than others. Thisshould be a good mate to my 2021 M1 iPad Pro with only 128 gb.
