I have a Polestar2 but never done a long trip but as far as I can see if the infrastructure is there it seems like it's fine, went to a fast charger once and talked to someone who was going from South of France to the Netherlands in an E-Golf a 37kWh car that can charge up to 40kW the man was insane for doing that...
Some of those big empty curving roads would SO tempt me to put my foot down! But no, I wouldn't, "not today son..." Beautiful scenery 🙂great tunes, awesome headlights! Great roadtrip video.
In addition to fossils blocking the chargers, there's another huge problem at that location, and that's the size of the parking spaces. They are ridiculously small. If cars park side by side and exactly between the markings on the ground, there is barely space to get out (or in) of the cars. I didn't measure the width of the spaces, but I'd be surprised if they are even 220 cm wide (recommended size by Sintef is at least 250 cm).
This is my favorite series in your channel Bjørn 🥳 I often set your road trip videos on my TV. Love seeing parts of Norway I've never seen before. Looking forward this summer and road trips with my family 🥳🥳🥳 And I have to say that this video has been seen 11k times and only 625 likes? Whats up with that? You deserve so much more than that Bjørn 👍👍👍
Regarding the charging station at the hotel. A 22kW connection can charge 15 cars at once. Reserving 15 parking spaces for EV only can be to expensive. By not having the parking spaces reserved for EV, you get a flexibility regardless of what type of cars that visitors you company. I have seen complaints in Bergen, Norway that at some locations there is a lack of non-EC parking spaces. If there is no parking sign with 'kun for ladende motorvogn ' underneath, the ICE vehicles can park there. And it's up to the owner to decide...
I love the road trips... I have said that many times but it is still true... Reg. parking: some people just want to provoke - or don't care... If a ticket with a photo was issued every time, it would help. I guess...
Never go to mekonomen 3:30 ! They lifted my car from wrong place and bent some metal reinforcement bar from the bottom of the car. Mekonomen even tried to denied that they did not do anything.
Compared to the MY21 Polestar 2 launch edition, these newer MY22 updated cars seem to be significantly better in terms of charging consistency, displays and driving range. Nice car.
If you mean from Oslo to the Arctic Circle it cannot be 2000 km or two hundred Swedish miles . By comparison, Sweden is 168 Swedish miles far from the southernmost border to the northernmost border
Love this artic circle runs. They show exactly how the car behaves on long trips. Just stupid question when you did first stop and you had driven just 83 miles. Did you actually need to stop because of low battery? Thank you
The temperature affects consumption and range significantly. The test happened at quite cold temperature. And much lower temperature than most of the others. This significantly affects the travel time. The consumption of my Polestar 2 is about 30% higher in winter (21 kWh/100km vs. 26-27).
Hi Bjørn, love your videos! Would like to ask if you have heard any latest news regarding Apple CarPlay on Google system in latest Volvos and Polestars? When they are available for OTA updates?
When the car reports the Wh/km or kWh/100km that is interesting, but it ignores losses in the battery and ignores the difference between the state of charge in the car battery and how many kWh you got charged for the kWh in the battery in the first place (charge losses). These gross kWh represent the cost side - how do these relate in practice?
in germany everyone is allowed to report a regulatory offence to the public order office. If fossils are blocking chargers I report them. I hate this selfishness nowadays. Maybe there is something similar in norway?
nice Cross Turismo at ca. 7:00 ... Regarding Google Maps in the display there: they should put in a knob to zoom in and out (like they have in the non-BEV Porsches, very conveniently), on all cars across all brands; it's very awkward and clumsy to have to pinch the map to zoom in and out (as at 10:45 here)...
I specifically ordered one without the PP. You can get used to them, but they are firm. It is still a good ride and it is comfortable, given the roads you drive on are ok. I went with 19 inch wheels and no PP and even then, you can feel a little bit too much of some bigger road bumps.
Hey Bjorn Do you think I can drive my casual route on a German Autobahn of 260km with just one charge in a Kia EV6 AWD? I usually set my Speedo to 130km/h. (At least in the morning)
One for you Bjørn: Polestar PP2 tested on the Nürburgring. No modifications (stock car, Olins dampers adjusted on the front). It keeps up with supercars and gets top marks! By Apex Sport's Misha Charoudin: th-cam.com/video/tOgS46o2Pv8/w-d-xo.html There are some Tesla M3 videos on his channel too.
The intro is like an old friend 😀👍
I love the format with the map and figures for each leg of the trip between charging stops

I watched the live stream, now I'm watching this. Proves the high quality of Bjørns video. The king of EV's
Love it! Road trip time like the good old days.
I keep in LOVE with the roadtrip videos. They are like a Norway tourism Ads to a spanish Guy like me 😀

Great roadtrip video.
You just made me miss Solo, Bergbys sweet mustard and Leverpostei :D I have to visit norway again :)
"we're only getting 130 kilowatts" is a such a strange sentence to hear
Skal hente min Polestar mandag 25, gleder meg!!. Takk for video 😁

European small parking spaces have been making me go crazy ever since I learnt to drive 😂

ROAD TRIP!!!! Finally!!!

at 6:30 I wish for some more Ionity stalls in Sweden as well. So much "ladestau" at Ionity nowadays.
Building my van right now to visit artic circle... and why not come to say hello to you !
Too bad they don't sell solo in USA. I would love to try one.
8 months, Congrazz! No more good sleep! ;) shiiiiiiit. :) Like your vids, awsome! Keep up the good work.

No moose in daytime!😮
Nice video Bjørn.

it cannot be 2000 km or two hundred Swedish miles . By comparison, Sweden is 168 Swedish miles far from the southernmost border to the northernmost border
Round trip. Unless you think I'm going to send the car back to Oslo by train...
Your right! Always fossil cars on ev charging parking stations..
Love this artic circle runs. They show exactly how the car behaves on long trips. Just stupid question when you did first stop and you had driven just 83 miles. Did you actually need to stop because of low battery? Thank you
No. But the Oslo - Alvdal stretch was not possible.
31:00 I think that number of fosil cars will get down and that problem with charging point will be resolved by itself.

polestar has already announced that they changed the preheating range on 2023 and ota update for all polestar 2 with heat pump to increase effecincy
Hi Bjørn, love your videos!
Would like to ask if you have heard any latest news regarding Apple CarPlay on Google system in latest Volvos and Polestars? When they are available for OTA updates?
Also, 2 years ago, the 2020 Polestar 2 did not have heat pump.
Korrekt

What is the name of the song at 11:35?
Hej Bjørn, you can use the Tesla Supercharger in Norway since a month maybe it is more flexibel
I know. And I already made video about this. Only 15 (now 16) of 83 Tesla supercharger locations are open for non-Teslas.
Hello Bjørn i love your Videos. Are you planning to do the Arctic Circle trip with the KIA EV 6 ? I would love to see this
No sleeping in the car this time? Nooo that's why I watch haha
For practical reasons: no
I was attending the funeral.
Seems that there are more ads, but that's ok Bjorn deserves soem more income. 8-)
The number of ads depends on the viewer itself.
How much did you pay on way trip for charging polestar 2?
in germany everyone is allowed to report a regulatory offence to the public order office. If fossils are blocking chargers I report them. I hate this selfishness nowadays.
Maybe there is something similar in norway?
No. Police in Norway does not enforce parking.
❤❤❤
It's still snowing in Norway and there's snow ?! 🙄
Wait for part 2...
Oh i miss that opening song.

would you personally get the perf pack on a polestar? are the dampeners worth it?
Depends on if you like it sporty. For normal driving I wouldnt take the PP. But the stunning rims and golden accents alone make the PP worth it imo.
I specifically ordered one without the PP. You can get used to them, but they are firm. It is still a good ride and it is comfortable, given the roads you drive on are ok. I went with 19 inch wheels and no PP and even then, you can feel a little bit too much of some bigger road bumps.

I usually set my Speedo to 130km/h. (At least in the morning)
Who cares about any range if you can charge at 270kw? 😃
What a sad reason for such a journey 😳
How do you pay for the charging? Do you have to pay it when testing a car? Or will the car manufacturer pay it for you?
I pay myself. That's why I'm grateful for any live stream donations and Patreon support. Payment is in the app. Usually visa/credit card or billing.
@@bjornnyland fair enough, yeah donations are welcome in that case. As long you are not flying for 10.000 NOK I think the donations will cover allot 😁
I don't know how many cars they plan on selling if they can't answer a simple email.

I've already watched it long time ago.
What happened to your sponsorships?
Nothing?
This was more a personal trip than showing a car off. I see nothing wrong with the lack of "sponsorship section" on this video.
ICEing cars should be ticketed and towed away.
15:01 ":)"

do you like that shiet
