Hey Victoria, nice video. I have a couple of questions. I see that you are using wicks. What type of wick are you using in your wick watering system? Where did you buy your wicks? I totally loved your red violet. It was really pretty. It wasn't symmetrical I get it, even though you did an excellent job growing it.
Thank you! The wicks come with the pots I order. You can purchase cotton macrame cord or purchase wicks like these online. I have also seen people use yarn. Synthetic materials will last longer. I hope this is helpful. ✨️
@@plantastix thanks for the information. Reason I asked was really impressed with your Violets. I totally love cotton yarn. Works great sadly only last about 6 weeks. I also bought 2 violets at a Walmart that had the little stick and the too deep of a pot for Violets. One plant I transplanted into a regular 4 inch pot, the other I just kept it in the pot that came from Walmart. It didn't bloom for a year, now blooming profusely. I hear acrylic yarn is good, had no luck. Anyway thanks for the video and advice.
It sounds like you are having success! 🙌 trial and error is the best secret I can share. I am trying new things and I replicate what works. It is a rewarding process. ✨️
Thanks for your comment ❤️ check out the description in this video for the pots I use. I have them linked. The size depends on what size the violet is. I have both sizes I use linked.
Hi Victoria, new subscriber here. Loving your channel ❤️ What kind of watering can are you using in this video?
I'm using a spray bottle. It has compressed air and has distilled water.

Do you need vermiculite in the soil? Just got one from Lowes today and know next to nothing about them.
I suggest amending the soil with either bark or perlite.
