It always breaks my heart to see kids stuff left behind during an eviction. Those poor babies don’t deserve to live in a dirty and possibly unstable household.

I so agree. I was a teacher for many years and saw so much that kids have to live through. Then we ask them to try and learn what we feel is important as a teacher, but yet there is so much negativity going on at home... It's just really amazing how well kids can do and so sad. The older I get and reflect on this... It really hits home how much kids endure, and how immature the "adults" can be.

I love that you do many multiple passes over the carpet. After watching other videos, I would request my carpet cleaner to take multiple “rinsing” passes”. I hate the cleaned carpet residue I’ve come across in some properties. Makes it feel just as dirty as original. You already take care of that. Thank you!
Thank you! There are sometimes you don't need multiple passes with our wand set ups. We have larger jets and pretty good suction to accompany the entire set up balance. Also with the window in the wand head we can keep an eye on soils being removed.... But we do a lot of double pass (or some areas more) passes and followed up with dry passes to remove not just moisture, but more suspended soils. Something I have grown up doing for years 😊👍
I agree, it makes a difference...I call is "scrubbing'.
It amazes me that people live like this, especially with children! Well done for saving this carpet 🎉
I also do get very concerned especially with children present as you mentioned. I am also a former teacher and would see a lot of things that kids were living through. Some of them did make changes for themselves though to break the problem cycle of their lives. I get some amazing letters from some of them as to how they have prospered now. Makes me feel good we were able to help.

It's amazing you just mentioned this as I have more recently been thinking similar thoughts. And having been on the road a lot recently really think about where I am at consuming food. I also would rather stay in my RV vs a hotel. Something about your own dirt I guess 😉😁

I clean in Hamilton County Indiana. I do the same trick with the steam line in my vacuum hose. The new guys wouldn't believe how quickly it freezes. Winter is tough when we get into single digit Temps.

South Texas here. 68yrs young. In my day.. if you didn't do it yourself.. then there was Stanley or Rainbow carpet cleaners. Rainbow won hands down. I always called them. Quick, clean, and light clean smell left behind. Oh.. did l mention that I cleaned homes for a living?? Housekeeper. Loved my job. Nothing like looking around as you left & thinking, "wow.. l did that !! 😊
That's Awesome! Thank you for being here with us. I'm 62 now, But I have a knee that is only 2 years old...LOL. Unfortunately, I have to have surgery on it again in 6 days. Will be down another 6 weeks they are telling me. The first knee fell out right away 3 years ago when the cement didn't hold and didn't bond with the bones. I still like cleaning and hope this next surgery to remove a bunch of scar tissue helps things out! 😊

Had one this summer at a manufacturing facility I took on as a challenge passing through and only had my Trinity units with me. Got pretty incredible results to be honest! Someday, I'm going to take on another crazy one like this with VLM only 😁👍

We like it too. It has a bit more power than a number of other units. We are actually updating one of the units I bought last year used from a friend of mine to the special 2.5 inch hose set up. We got the parts about a week ago, but haven't been able to take time to do the update

Thank you so much for being here with us! So glad you are enjoying the channel and content. I have a few videos where I have used both methods, but not much on comparing each other side by side. I have done testing and I feel I can clean very well with either method. There are times one is faster over the other and that is a reason for the decision between either. I'm not sure if you have caught my one video cleaning a pretty nasty carpet at a manufacturing plant with VLM only. I really was surprised at what I was able to do. I was on one of my road tours and they reached out to me to see if I wanted a challenge...Of course sometimes I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed...LOL. But I'm so happy they contacted me, because I learned that I can do A LOT with VLM cleaning. Thanks! That little CRB is like a life line sometimes for us 😊👍. We have a 10 inch CRB on each van. Not used on every job, but when a good scrubbing is needed, these things are golden 😁
@@MarkSaiger I just bought a 15 inch. I originally wanted the 10 inch but a lot of websites I looked at said they were out of stock and some also added they were discontinued by manufacturer. I was worried I'd find one then not be able to get parts when something minor happened.
@@michaelolson419 actually the 10 inch is still made and will continue to be made. It's one of the more popular units actually. During pandemic, the factory in Austria that made motors for the CRB units went out of business, so they had to secure another manufacturing company. That took some time for the new company to tool up and then try to catch up with orders. Either way, the unit you have will be great too. came out great! just do the steps correctly in the right order. The chemistry on presprays nowadays is phenomenal. I havent tried yours yet, but it definitely looks like the ticket. Ive never used a zipper! Devastator wand would work just as well, maybe not as fast but then you dont need to switch tools to edge. Awesome job there, certainly a fun one to burn some calories and make a couple bucks while putting together a fun video. Lookin good Mr. Saiger. More videos and more fun when you can!

It was a doozie. I just had another surgery on that knee 7 weeks ago to remove a bunch of scar tissue. It's a bit better now, but it really got messed up with the first knee replacmemt... That fell out right away. Not a good moment. The cement never bonded with the bone 😬🙄

😁👍. This is the Zipper SS Super Spinner. They came out about 2016. Regular straight manifold Zipper has been around quite longer. Our Saiger's Sauce products I released publicly about 7 years ago. The Code Red I released about 5 years ago based around our original Saiger's Sauce 1 which then got added an oxy and an enzyme. It's been some fun tools and Chems to clean with, 😊

As a cleaner who has Steam cleaned Sofas . If you have not steam cleaned it in a year or more you would be speechless how dirty they really are. If I ever get another Sofa it will be leather (vegan)

I wished the people around here in Iowa did the same kind of work. I just watched a video prior to yours and he used a suction machine after the brush machine and you don't need it. He also says that he washes and sanitizes his vacuum and washing tools after ea use. I am wondering how many people do that

From a property manager's POV? That carpet was from the early 90s and the renters didn't bother to clean it once over many years. We'd call that property owner a "Slum Lord" because that carpet and padding needed to be ripped out and replaced.
the carpet can come out looking nice and clean... But that padding underneath is going to be saturated with dirt that will wick right back out in a couple months making the carpet look nasty again. 🤢🤮 That's one of the problems with "Wall 2 Wall" back then the padding was recycled fabric and foam...
You did an EXCELLENT job! Just that the owners should have replaced that. We need a rug spa to pull out W2W deep clean it like the area rugs and install it over new padding... 🤣

Do you find that the Zipper loses air movement the more you keep it on the carpet, sort of like the Rotovac does? I also have the butler and the suction is so great with the Rotovac, that I notice I have to let it breath once in a while to spin up the air movement again.
I know what you are describing. The Zipper has a bit of side vaccum slot happening. It doesn't lock down like a Rotovac or unglided wand. But saying that also there is more vaccum available when not on the carpet like other wands and such. Any tool we pull off the carpet or a fiber does allow for greater velocity and air movement
What influenced your decision on Workhorse vacuum verses Sanitaire etc? Is the Workhorse direct air?
We had seen them in action and bought one to try. It was pulling so much debris out on so many of our jobs we decided to buy for each van. It's been really good on belts vs sanitare. We went through one belt that caught something and smoked the belt. I also like a dirt container vs bag because the container will get dumped after (or even during) every job so I know it has a chance of being an effective vaccum especially with employees (even though there is only 3 of us) I'm not sure about the motor. It is in line with the suction and filtered before hitting the motor so I'm gonna guess it could be direct air, but I'm truly guessing as I type this.
I need some advice - products to use etc. please ❤❤❤❤ . Dealing with similar carpet . I have tried to do regular carpet scrubber and have even added steam with my regular steam mop that the head comes off . Is there no hope for me without this commercial equipment or hiring someone?
It depends on the soil level. Unfortunately, it's hard to beat a $50,000 to $150,000 cleaning unit and the tools. But I would maybe suggest if you wanted to try. If you purchase a self contained cleaning unit from say Walmart or similar (such as Hoover or Bissell) I would maybe suggest having you try something like our Saiger's Sauce 1. Easy to use and good punch. Mix it up as 2 ounces (a 2 ounce scoop is on our containers). Apply it with a pump up pressure sprayer (such as a one gallon garden sprayer with wand). Apply liberally, maybe even use a clean deck brush or clean shop broom to agitate as needed, or even that mop with some stream to activate) Rinse with the cleaning machine and only use the product in the machine they provide. It's a mild cleaning agent that won't harm the carpet cleaner pump. Our products are stronger and the pumps are not built for commercial cleaning agents. Extract at least a couple of times with wet cleaning passes, then dry pass extract. I would apply a fan to help speed dry. Spot removal stains are a different animal and I could help address those stains also if needed. Let me know if this is of any help and I wish you success. We like them a lot on open commercial and some open rentals with a lot of room to work. They are great on the commercial side of cleaning. Not everyone gets used to running them and hose management, but we are really comfortable with them. So if you have a bunch of commercial and dirty grimy carpets, the Zipper is really great for us

Thanks Jay! The Zippers are hot water extraction tools. They are really good at flushing things out, but have incredible recovery and drying capabilities. They are really made for cleaning large commercial areas, but we have been using them also on large residential (or trashed 😉) when we see they will be a time saver. They can be twice as fast as a wand in the right hands also and quite possibly 4 times or more faster than a rotary such as the Rotovac. The Rotovac type rotatories can get a different type of direct fiber agitation, but we rarely use our Rotovacs anymore. We have seen in some cases also permanent damage from a Rotovac extractor especially on commercial carpet with some people having to even replace carpets in buildings they used the unit on. We tend to use Conway Devastator swivel head wands, Zippers, CRB's and even the Trinity for VLM. The Trinity even though be low moisture and rotary style has the correct speed so as not to hurt or tip bloom carpet fiber. We keep experimenting also to see what else we can discover and always willing to share our experiences. 😊👍

whats the best carpet cleaner that uo could reccomend for extraction in a car for example?
If you are just trying to clean your own car, even a little green machine can help. If you were to prespray something like our Saiger's Sauce 1 on the carpet and upholstery then rinse with the little green machine and it's chemistry that can work. If you are looking at going into business for doing car interiors I would look at the portable line up from JonDon. And then again do the same prespray and maybe add some of our Saiger's Sauce Deep Blue All Purpose rinse into the rinse water 😊👍

We have always charged by the square foot. More of a common practice in the upper Midwest. We are currently 50 cents per Sq foot in 2022 and beginning 2023.
They are the best ones for the WOW factor - soap it up, scrub it up and suck it up.
