    That was a really soiled greasy carpet. Great job getting it cleaned up, very nice! Also thank you for using the tripod more often, I like the smoother camera work when you do that.

      Thank you! I keep trying to improve our videos and equipment. Another new wide angle lens on the way soon too that's better in Low light. I keep working with the tripod when I can. So many times things are just on the fly. And we did find out the GoPro struggles to be stable in low light. Never knew that until this video

    Does someone need all those fancy tools.or will a regular wand will do..
    What's the dry time on carpet..

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These Wands will cut better and faster then the old style 2 jet common wand. There design does help immensely over the old AW 29 style wand. Dry times with these Wands are definitely faster also, but the machines outside do help. They have quite a bit of extra "get up and go". And dry time can still depend on air circulation and air exchange. We make sure the places have heating or cooling active to move the moisture out of the building. When cleaning a large place like this, it can get humidity trapped in the air and building. With these Wands though, especially the Zipper Wand, in most situations you can pound toilet paper on the carpet and not see much moisture remaining

      This was from Multi Sprayer, but during the pandemic, they were not able to have it made and now have not found a good source to have it made I've been told. There are some other 6 or 7 quart low profile containers I'm hearing that might be being made, but I have not gone out searching for them to be honest since I have a few of these 6 quart containers yet.

    So I'm not sure any other way to ask this, but my boyfriend works in a machine shop with all sorts of different oils, grease, and mineral spirits. We have carpeted stairs and it has gotten really nasty over the couple of years here. I just want to get the stains out. I have a shampooer and steam cleaner that doesn't suck up the water. What process and product would you recommend to get the stains out?

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  ปีที่แล้ว

      Does your shampooer have a small hand held attachment? This could help with better extraction. A little green machine has this type of extraction head. I would reccomend maybe trying one of our Saiger's Sauce Products such as Saiger's Sauce 1. You can get free samples from our webstore. Just go to my webstore and tap on the free sample pics that will take you to a JonDon page that is doing the free samples including Free shipping. You will find that in the "Products for sale" tab. I would use some type of pump up pressure sprayer to apply the Saiger's Sauce 1, then use the cleaning unit with their supplied cleaner to extraction clean. By the way, you could use a hand scrub brush to scrub and agitate the steps after applying the Saiger's Sauce 1 before extraction (cleaning). Also you won't want to run any other chemistry through the machine as what they make is a mild cleaning solution so it won't hurt their pumps. I hope this can be of help
      Reach out with more questions. I will do my best to try and help

We have found in the past at this job it doesn't do much but smear the top level of Grease and we just won't get away without spraying and cleaning twice. Just the way this job is. Don't know if it's because of the carpet type that the CRB units and other agitation can't cut it out, or the type of Grease being used during cooking. It's just a difficult one that we found this was the way it cleans up. It used to be even more difficult until the Zippers. 😁👍

    How long does it take for the carpet to get that dirty in a typical restaurant? A month or so?

    • @MarkSaiger
      @MarkSaiger  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on what they serve and how much upkeep is done in a kitchen can fluctuate how much soil gets to the carpet. We have a place that can get by with once a year and the carpet is still in great shape. And then we have some places that could use a cleaning every one to three months... But some will push it out to 6 months to a year.... Or more, 😬

    I stayed in a Hilton hotel in Arizona recently - the carpet was so filthy my feet stuck to it when I walked on it. Had to wear shoes inside the hotel room. Disgusting!

      We have had some similar negative experiences. We really don't like staying in hotels much. That's why I travel and stay in my class B van RV on a lot of travels

    I love watching those high-contrast cleaning results. How long had it been since the carpet was last cleaned? Filthy! However, all the comparisons to food make me nauseous. Gross.
