For Julie Garwood, I am getting sentimental as she juist passed away , and I love her book the prize, so I would say, keep them all! Very impressive haul! I have to admit. I don't read historical romance as much as I used to. I'm more into contemporary romance, women's fiction (otherwise known as fiction ;-) and some light paranormal (time travel, witches, magical realism) and sometimes science fiction with romantic side plots. As such, many of my recommendations involve older books or authors I read years ago, some of whom aren't even writing anymore. But the upside is, you may find these books in a used book store since people may be unhauling older books. For instance, I really liked some of Madeline Hunter's earlier books like, By Arrangement, By Possession, and By Design. All written around 2000/2001.
Other authors who have written historical romance that you might want to pick up are:

Patricia Gaffney
LaVyrle Spencer
Judith Ivory
Pamela Morsi
Maggie Osborne
Linda Francis Lee
Penelope Williamson
Some of these authors have also written contemporary romance, so you might want to make sure to read the synopsis before assuming the book is an historical.

@@mamaneedstoreadromance now granted I haven’t read the bow street runner series in order, I just picked a copy of this up while I was grocery shopping, and just read it because I LOVE Kleypas! Fell in love with her when I read my first book by her Suddenly You, and have been reading books by her ever since, but still, yeah, Worth Any Price was an Amazing book!
I would keep both copies of any book where you particularly like the covers, just in case you read it and adore it. You never know if you're going to run across a clean copy again for such a good price.
This is really making me want to go book thrifting for historicals.

I've just been focused on filling in my missing paranormal series for the last couple of years, so I've left historicals sadly neglected. Not that I don't have plenty to read already, but that's beside the point

Wow, what a great haul! You’re so lucky to live near such a great used book store. I’m a sucker for a stepback and clinch cover 😍 I literally just read Viking! by Connie Mason yesterday. I really liked it. Connie mason is a favorite author of mine. My favorite book by her is The Black Knight. She has a really extensive backlist. I believe she’s written over 60 books 😮 It’s a shame she’s retired from writing. I would definitely keep all the Julie Garwood books. I also really liked Enslaved by Virginia Henley. She has some fabulous looking stepbacks.

Julie Garwood covers:
My copy of Rebellious Desire (likely purchased in the 90's) has the same cover as the matching ones with the jeweled flower broach in the center. The publication page indicates the first printing by Pocket Books was in January 1990. There was an earlier printing by Tapestry Books in June 1986. My guess is the clinch cover is the earlier, original Tapestry Books cover.
My copy of The Lion's Lady also has the matching cover with a jeweled cat broach. However this book's publication page indicates first printing in December 1988 by Pocket Books only. I love this book. Set in the Regency era, the heroine was raised by Dakota Native Americans. The hero was a war spy, and has a lingering leg injury. Most chapters begin with a quote from the journal of the heroine's mother.
My favorite in this series is Book 2: Guardian Angel. The heroine was raised by pirates!
So perhaps the clinch covers are mass market covers?
I'd keep both: the matching to display with the set and the clinch for collection purposes😍🤩

I’m currently reading Her Highness My Wife by Victoria Alexander. It’s Book 5 in the Effingtons series. It’s a fun series to read.

Heather Graham's One Wore Blue Trilogy is an excellent series. I love them all. Read them first 15 years ago and love the fact that even though it's historical romance it is very well written and has a lot of history and is not boring.. Also Heather Graham writes under the name Shannon Drake and she has some really good novels too. Her Graham series written under Shannon Drake is set during Braveheart times. I know you like Scottish novels and those are the best. Conquer the Night and the Lion in Glory are my favorites. Still love reading those books over and over again!

Fun Fact, Shannon Drake is Heather Graham. She uses Shannon Drake as a Pen Name. You got a lot of great books. I love May Banks historicals, Lorraine Heath is my favorite historical author. Mary Balogh also have a ton of great books, and she does has some stepbacks, but they are hard to find. Beverly Jenkins is also another favorite of mine, however I like her older better (as for now), I'm reading her whole backlist in publishing order, because pretty much all of her books are connected.

Johanna Lindsey book tidbits:
The Ly-San-Ter series is futuristic, starting with intergalactic warrior woman Tedra traveling across space with her AI ship to find her barbarian warrior tribal leader. The next two books in the series are the stories of (1) her daughter with her own barbarian and (2) her barbarian-raised son with his 90's California earth woman.
The Cardinia's Royal Family series of two (Once a Princess and You Belong to Me) are essentially set in 1830's Russia
Until Forever is a time traveling Viking romance. The large sword is Blooddrinker's Curse, the key to time travel. First it brings the Viking to the present, then the two of them jump back and forth between present time and the Battle of Hastings.

For the Kerrigan Byrne book " How to Love a Duke in Ten Days", there is a very intense trigger scene right at the beginning that is hard to stomach (not because it's written poorly, but because it's written too well). After that the book is wonderful and emotional. I had a warning going into the book and I'm glad I did, so I hope the trigger warning helps you as well and other interested readers.

That is a big sword!! Some of these vintage covers are just so nice, i would but them for the cover alone and not read them!! Me and my daughter have watched Ever After so many times, such a brilliant film :) loved this longawaited haul and it was so worth it!

This is such a great video! I just discovered and subscribed to your awesome channel! I discovered Heather Graham recently, and read her whole six book “Old Florida Series,” which contains that book “Captive” that you have. It is FANTASTIC! Every book within the series is riveting!!! Also…I just started reading “Tomorrow the Glory” by Shannon Drake yesterday. It is excellent too! I actually bought the book because I discovered that the author, her husband, and their two daughters, are on the book in the artwork. Shannon Drake is actually a pen name for Heather Graham! I was never a romance reader, but love her Regency romances. Great writing, research and humorous. Hope you enjoy her if you read her. I’d be interested in knowing the book that was on your list? There some suspense in The Reluctant Widow and The Tollgate. Frederica is my favorite so far.
