There were 10 women in my class back in 80. We started a week before the men. Ten of us and 3 PT instructors. NONE of us quit. The following week 100 men started. Ten men quit the first day! Made us feel pretty good that we were mentally tough. You have to prepare mind, body and spirit.
Videos like this pump me up. I’m about to begin the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in under a month, and seeing what other states do and what their cadets say, gives me motivation to succeed in PAs. Good luck to all!
I attended a law enforcement academy back in the 90’s. The best thing for these recruits is that they stay in the academy and not go home at the end of the day. It’s extremely distracting to go home and have all of the distractions in every day family life when you have a family (wife and kids). Because besides the family distractions, as a recruit you still have homework, making sure your weapon and weapon belt are clean. Your uniform and footwear need to be spotless. You need to get plenty of rest. It’s a huge commitment for several months. It’s extremely tough. I spent 3 years active duty in the military and I still tell anyone that law enforcement academy training is so much more difficult than military basic training. Hopefully the pro criminal, anti law enforcement attitude here in California changes soon. If not, you’ll see more of these recruitment videos because law enforcement agencies are having a difficult time finding good qualified candidates.
@@Mrfedtalktrust me I know they graduated awhile ago. Buts okay to play along and pretend they’re still cadets. Thanks for comment the though. It pleases the algorithm gods…
Flying out in June to take the VPAT & written test and I can’t wait! These videos make me more eager to be out there already. Coming from Chicago to California will be an adjustment but it will be rewarding if everything works out for me.
Bro they make it seem so hard 😂😂 you have girls in the academy and squares for the males who have no real life experience of coure it’ll be hard for them

@@scottwall4669Stop. The standard is the standard. Don't stool that low. This person earned thiers fair and square. ESPECIALLY in the 80s.

Great to see the progress the cadets are making. Looking forward to the next video.
love every episode.
AWESOME VIDEOS, MY DAD GRADUATED FROM CHP ACADEMY IN 72
Cool!
These videos make me feel sad that I am not a US citizen, meaning I won't have to chance this awsome team. :/
Good luck to the Cadets!
Why so short videos? Love these vlogs.
Why are the episodes getting shorter 🥲
These episodes need to be at least 30 min. 8 min is a joke.

LOVE these videos! My husband was the commander there! So proud of the CHP!
