I don't now how old you are now, but apply when you are 20 as it takes about a year to get into the Academy, and even if it's shorter its a 6 month Academy and I believe the law states you have to be 21 upon graduation, so don't wait until you are 21 to apply.
This has been an outstanding series to watch, and eventhough I’m leaving for the 170th PA State Police academy on Sunday, I definitely plan on keeping up with this series as best I can. Granted I may not be able to watch the rest of it until I graduate in August, but I will be back.
Word of advice from the wife of a law enforcement homicide detective, being a workaholic is a must if you plan on advancing in a law enforcement career.
Cadets are trained on law and procedure throughout the academy. They take an oath when they start their training at the academy and when they graduate to officially become Officers.
