I don’t like how as the customer tip goes up, the doordash pay goes down. Id rather them just pay consistently based off distance and total items. It feels slimey but I don’t know. Yeah I just started Uber and it always tells me the final location with the restaurant so I know where I'll end up. The issue is when you take a double order you don't know where the first drop off is lol

He typically finds better success this way. Let me elaborate - he will have deliveries nearby, a few roads down from store to customer, take the next order which is closer south toward the city. Keep doing this until he is taking trips around the city then start taking orders from store to customer which lead him to taking runs more and more north and call it a good day
The reason tips can come in late is the customer has 3 ways of tipping in the app, during the order, after the delivery or the next time they open the app. If someone doesn't order with them often it maybe weeks or even months before they open the app again and get the option to rate and tip us.

That's not true when order comes up for Uber eats Shows amount Pick up place Mine shows address of drop off And total miles from where you accept to pick up and drop off. Total miles. So when I take it I know exactly where I'm dropping it

11 mins is usually around 4 miles that’s not bad, I try to stay within 6 miles or else u will be skipping a lot of orders, but if ur in a great market we’re orders fly in then u have the luxury to be really picky on ur orders
I think the reason why Uber Eats hides the customer's details until you received the order is to ensure quality customer service and force you to accept each order, rather than pick and choose. It is a bit annoying.
I work for Door Dash. I refuse all orders from a well known national pizza chain. They don’t start orders until the driver gets there when they’re supposed to be making it when I’m on the way. They also very poor pay outs so they won’t see my red bag anymore. The same thing applies to a different chain restaurant. I’ve been to 4 different of these same restaurants and each one doesn’t start the order until I got there. I’m not being paid by the hour but by trip so they are costing me money by having to 10-15 minutes each time. I’ve seen several that intentionally wait several minutes before they start because they really want something to be perfect when the customer gets it so I understand but the other two are not understandable.

Kariman Vietzke true, and after the investigation is over, the customer still has the power to lower your rating to four points after giving the driver one star. This is what I don’t like about door dash; how could they prove that the customer claim was false, yet give him the power to lower my rating. I just find it disgusting when the customer gets his food then claims he never got it either because he didn’t like the food or just wanted to get a credit for free one. Customers like those should be permanently deactivated from the platform. Most importantly, they slow us down when they complain because then we have to log off the app and fill in the disputed form. Sucks.
Uber now does busy boost pay and also quest. I got approved for both Uber eats and door dash. After b ing unable to get shifts with door dash and driving to a red area that turned gray... I turned on my Uber eats and haven't really dashed since. Plus door dash will have me sitting for 30 minutes and give me two orders an hour and then nothing for an hour or more... While Uber eats has me stacked and moving. I'd rather be moving than sitting. In my area, Uber eats tips more and then minimum for door dash is $3.00. I got a new Uber eats update as a pro silver rated driver and I can now see where I am going in Uber eats like you can in door dash.

I just tried door dash yesterday and I made $35 in 3 hours, not too bad, that’s about $11-12 an hour. I like the layout of door dash and it’s cool after 25 dashes, your able to pull out your money you make daily instead of weekly ! So if I make $60 a day, I could pull out. Stop cherry picking bruh. I found acvepting every single order is the way to go. You dont know about the tip and you might get another order on the way to deliver it, and if you dont accept it, and its slow, you might not get an order for a while, so not accepting it actually cost you money.

Doordash minimum is $3 not 5 ...I've taken $3 orders hoping the customer will tip and they've never tipped me any of those times and I don't get anything extra to that pay from doordash upon completing the order

You have to schedule your hours with Doordash, but you can always pause for 30 minutes or end your dash early. So, it's not much different than going on and offline with Uber Eats.

The bare minimum on door dash is not a minimum of 5.50 ... I did one for 4.50 yesterday and took a stacked order for two from canes which is the worst place to dash... in fact I’m also turning down canes orders too... I have done them for as low as 3.75 ... and these customers don’t tip... I turn down 90% of anything for less than five dollars. It has to be a short distance and a fast restaurant and a slow period or a stacked order.

I have the same issue, there are deliveries far away (relatively, it’s not actually that far) in the mountains. So you drive into the mountains to drop off and then you have to drive back to town side bc there aren’t any restaurants in that area.

You don't have to schedule for door dash unless your in a slow area. Also you can drive for dash the same day after your bg check comes in.
Uber eats does have extra pay in busy areas.

In a typical week my Doordash income is comprised of 45% Doordash base/peak pay and 55% customer tip.
I usually tip in cash if not I end up remembering to tip the next time I order
Honestly, it helps drivers a lot more with cash tips, because we get minimum delivery added on if nothing was tipped on a card, so drivers make more.

The bare minimum on door dash is not a minimum of 5.50 ... I did one for 4.50 yesterday and took a stacked order for two from canes which is the worst place to dash... in fact I’m also turning down canes orders too... I have done them for as low as 3.75 ... and these customers don’t tip... I turn down 90% of anything for less than five dollars. It has to be a short distance and a fast restaurant and a slow period or a stacked order.

I have the same issue, there are deliveries far away (relatively, it’s not actually that far) in the mountains. So you drive into the mountains to drop off and then you have to drive back to town side bc there aren’t any restaurants in that area.
