    I was toying with this size or the 285/75R18. I was searching the forums, but could not find a straight answer as to whether or not they would work on a stock TRD pro like yours. It’s a taller tire, but narrower.

    Looks great. Gonna buy these for my white 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. I know you sold this truck already, but did you buy a tire for the spare? Wasn't sure it would fit under there w/out modifications. I'm guessing w/a rear flat and a smaller spare you would have to move the larger front to the rear and smaller spare to the front to save the rear diff....sound right?

    Hey man great looking truck! Love watching your videos. I had a question, I know this video is already 2 years old but did you remember if your tire was really close to the control arm or was it safe? I’m about to get 295/70/18 ko2 on my 2018 tundra with oem pro rim and wondering if I should run 1 inch spacer or just go without it. Also I’m torn between the nitto and ko2? What would you recommend? Thanks!

    • @UntamedMotors
      @UntamedMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey David, it was super close… maybe an index fingers width apart. I’m running this same exact tire setup on my voodoo blue Tundra TRD Pro… spacers are not needed… if you add them, it’ll likely cause rubbing elsewhere so keep that in mind.

    • @david-yevastepanov6167
      @david-yevastepanov6167 ปีที่แล้ว

      Untamed Motors I have the ko2 on my taco , and the grapplers in my 18 tundra . I was surprised that the taco does better off roading and definitely better in snow and iced over roads . I thought is was due to the ko’s on the taco? Maybe my tundra was to heavy or tire to wide?? Have 305/55/20 on tundra and 33/10 on taco . This has been one pondering me for months now ? Any advice would help thanks

    • @UntamedMotors
      @UntamedMotors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      titiri titiri size is certainly a factor... the Taco tends to be more capable off road regardless though... not to mention they get the “crawl control” treatment and rear diff lock... unlike the Tundra. But like I said in the video here, people absolutely rave about the KO2 tire and that’s for good reason. They’re an outstanding tire... but there’s no way the KO2 is superior to the Nitto Ridge Grappler, vice versa... they’re on parr.

    Truck looks good! Ko2’s are overrated tires I personally hate them with a passion. My grandfather always bought them and he does a lot of ranch work never failed when it rained or snowed he always got stuck and I was the one person he called to get him out. He also had to drive on a gravel road everyday and the tires just didn’t hold up to the rocks they tend to break off in chunks. Long story short after me telling him to ditch them for nittos he finally did and has never gotten stuck since lol! My go to tire is the trail grapplers they do great in thick snow mud you name it never had a issue as for tire noise it doesn’t bother me I actually love the roaring sound they make. My old Silverado came with ko2 they sucked they never really exceeded in anything rain, snow, mud and ice they were horrible. I think you made the right choice I never had the ridge grapplers love the sidewall tho I’m currently running the trail grapplers on my Tacoma.

I do feel great about these Nittos though... they earned their keep after a recent snow storm we had. They just plowed through it all without a single issue.
