In this video I showcase my buddy’s super white Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. He has modded this truck to perfect in my opinion. What do you guys think? What would you do differently?
He managed to fit 35/12.5/18 BFGoodrich KO2s by installing a Westcott lift up front (1.5in neck spacer). This setup sustains the factory TRD-tuned Fox suspension kit. Between that and the Coachbuilder front bumper shim, it fits perfectly.
What do you think of his Winjet taillights and tow mirrors? Definitely tempting to get me my own...

How is the ride on your friend's trd pro tundra with the westcott lift? Does the front fox suspension still feel the same as with no lift at all?
There’s beauty in simplicity. Your eyes lose appreciation of the overall design concept when it’s being bombarded by the details. That being said, he did a fantastic job on his rig. You can see he cares a great deal about his ride. Thanks to both for a nice post.

Toyota really needs to take the aftermarket into account for the next gen Tundra. 35"s should fit without issues on a full size truck.

to me, your truck looks 100% better, personally i don't like the smoked out tail lights, i think they ruin the factory look, and i kinda prefer the solid red on the back, classic and clean looking

There are a number of people I’m seeing on forums struggling to put the Rigid fog light covers and scratching the housing. If at all possible, a video on how he did would be very helpful.
I would add 1” spacers all around as well as Arb front and rear bumpers. Decked systems Thule surf racks so you can sleep in the back if raining bfg k20 gun safes inside

I was thinking of getting the cali raised LED stealth bar but didn't see much videos nor reviews about it so I went with the Diode Dynamics LED stealth bar on my Tundra
The Luna looks awesome so does the white. I could have gone white but had a few. Just put deposit down today was able to nab a Luna!! Trading my AG Pro 4runner in.

You should get tow mirrors if you need it. Also get some Aftermarket Tail lights & Fog lights!
Love his rig. Only thing I would say is that the shim on the bumper messes up the body line from the fender if you stare at it for too long

That’s a good way to put it... the tow mirrors without the wide 35s would perhaps look more out of place. I agree it ties together well. Color match would be unique that’s for sure... 👌🏻

Lunar rock one looks better IMO. Nice wheels, exhaust and a good tonneau cover are all you need.

NO! The most important thing he did was a 2021 or older, the current gen body is something we'll have to get use to. Excellent vid on 2 good looking trucks.

Oh damn the timing. I have a 2020 TRD-ORP and am back on for those. A 2021 TRD PRO super white at MSRP. I just keep going back and forth. The PRO would only cost me 15k after I traded my 4runner. Ugh

I’d like to keep my cars stock. Maybe one or two small changes but definitely not too much, it makes the truck feels cheap.
The truck looks great. I have a question though. When you swap out the side mirrors, do they loose the defrost feature??
They do not lose the defrost feature.. Tow mirrors are plug and play and keep the heated(defrost) and full power features and add a running/turn signal light.. check out my new color matched tundra tow mirrors i got off ebay, worth every penny..

The Lexus LC500 has that 5.0 liter TTV8 + 10 speed transmission....maybe they'll offer that engine (or a variant of it) as an option in the next gen tundra.... at least I hope they do.

As long as it doesn't have wireless Android Auto or CarPlay it's pretty useless.
you can get the wireless charger from the factory, its a $250 option in the configurator
I haven’t seen a Pro come with one from factory. But yeah perhaps if I built/optioned it myself 👍

Mirrors kill it for me, aesthetically. But I understand needing them if you tow often.

I want those mirrors. I use my truck to haul my toy hauler and side by side. So I guess I have more of a need. It sucks trying to see everything in stock mirrors.

Stock looks better imo - overkill and I can’t even begin to imagine the MPG hit your friend has. Not sure why folks like smoking taillights when it reduces visibility (call me old school). Regardless of my opinion, cool build!
I agree with you that “less is more” sometimes. I prefer closer to stock looks. And I’ve actually grown to appreciate the super old/classic red taillights that come on the Tundra 😆 I still appreciate a nice build and the effort that goes into them like my buddy’s here though.

I agree, the white one has some cool stuff, but for my taste is over the top. I think lightbars are tacky, and there is just too much going on. I appreciate the "subtle" upgrades on your truck and you can not come close to touching that lunar rock color!

He used a tinted overlay for that is all.

How does the wireless light charger, located under the hood, work exactly? Not 100% clear on this set up. Thx
It's not a charger, it is a controller. It is done so you don't have run wires through the firewall and behind the dash. There is a remote wifi switch in the cab that wirelessly communicates with the controller in the engine bay via wi-fi.

If you live here in tha salt belt, you will quickly NOT want stuck out tires. Every drive will leave the side of your rig blasted widd salt, grime, slush, and all da crapp they putt here. I lived that in my youth widd my taco...the tundy rides flush or a lil tucked is even better.
I lived in North Dakota for awhile and yeah... I’d have a tough time sporting wide tires out there... 👌🏻

I always felt the same way... I even considered putting some on when I bought my 2020 army green... but I’ve grown to appreciate the lack of flares in it tbh. It was an acquired taste.
