FORD FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR LOCATION. WHERE IS THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR
If you have Ford and you are trying to find where the fuel pressure sensor is located we will explain in this video the usual location and where you can expect to find the fuel pressure sensor. Some Ford cars with direct fuel injection often have 2 fuel pressure sensors. One fuel pressure sensor is for the low pressure pump and one fuel pressure sensor is for the high pressure pump. We demonstrated where the fuel pressure sensor is located on Ford Focus third generation but the video may be helpful on other ford cars too:

Thanks for your video! I replaced the fuel pressure sensor of my 2008 Ford Escape and after a couple weeks it's smelling like gas inside the car but not under the hood. Could the new pressure sensor be the cause? Is the pressure regulator the same as the pressure sensor? Thanks in advance!

Man I’m having the same issue but only when I fill my gas tank up it stalls and jerks I put gas treatment and had one test run that said bad gas cylinder and they said 800 part and labor at Jiffy Lube but they can’t find the part ! So now it’s been 3 months same problem I can still drive but I need this issue resolved.

Can i ask gou you a question please , i had an issue with fuel pressure sensor, i went to replace it with new one but seemed it didn't fit , i brought back the old one then everything goes well no more issue happened like i have changed with new one ,
Can just taking the sensor out and bring back again fix the problem ?!!

great video. Can you give any advise on my mk 8 transit. as nobody can find the problem not even fords. Mine is a 2016 no issue with starting from cold or even hot sometimes. I can go for a drive turn it off then come back say 5 mins later and it will be a hit or miss if it starts. it will crank over but will not start or it seems like the battery is going to die. leave it for say 5 mins and it will start.

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion and I need help with something I can’t find anyone online talking about… was experiencing misfire. Happened twice in total. Changed spark plugs and all my ignition coils, codes read misfire cylinder 2, random misfire, and also since this started going on I hear a mechanical whine coming from the tank that lets you listen to the fuel pump sending gas. It’s almost constant but will stop and go every few seconds. Fuel pressure at idle is reading 255 psi.. suggestions? I checked the cam follower on the mechanical fuel pump user the hood and it wasn’t even warn down but I changed it anyway all symptoms remain the same. Car is running rich and you can smell that chemical smell every now and again. Please help!

Were you able to remove the sensor ? There's limited to no access to the sensor when is located inside the intake manifold unless removing the belt tensioner, but I want to skip that step if possible.

Is there a difference when replacing the fuel pressure sensors like low and high pressure? As I’m looking to buy the low pressure fuel pressure sensor it gives me two... under notes one says located at fuel rail the other says high pressure but they look exactly the same so I’m not sure which is which. Will the high pressure fuel pressure sensor be located after the high pressure pump (the second sensor you showed in the video).
